Never forget this song. When I learned 3 months in the Philippines in the year 1991 a training course funded by Jica of Japan, the teacher talked us that he just bought an used car 800 USD and invited me to seat on the car with him to get back the domitary! On the way we sang together this song and very happy. Until now I am still remember that memory and I am always ready to sing the song every time I meet my friends!
This song reminds me of a good family friend we lost named John, all he ever talked about was making it home to his brother in Michigan, we took him to the hospital one day he wasn't feeling good never made it back out. God rest his soul and that he made it home to his brother in Michigan finally. His only family he had left in this world.
I can almost picture me driving home to my Mom and Dad after a great day at work, man this makes me cry 😭. Driving home and I put this song on and it makes me feel like there is no tomorrow and ur just in that moment John Denver is arguably the greatest country singer of all time
These songs are the keys that open the doors of our heart and that take us to memories of a beautiful past, which now only exists in a special corner of our memory. Each one of us, who lived through that time, has a secret, a passion, a joy (a smile), a sadness (a tear),... a magical moment in our life that nothing can erase... And when we close our eyes and let ourselves be led by the soft hand of these songs, we are taken along paths that make us relive unique moments, that really existed, but that were carried by the force of time... without our being able to prevent it, and that now wander in the immensity of our thoughts. Like a beautiful dream, which we would not like to have never woken up... Congratulations on the selection...

Bestbof 2:41 John Denver was the first cassette I bought with my own money. I went on to be a metalhead in highschool. Now that I'm middle age I found my way back to his music. It still hits me like when I was young. I'll probably have this song played at my funeral.
@@BigSkippy1263same dude and I’m about to graduate from high school. John Denver will always be missed someday my Kids are gonna grow up and love this song
This reminds me of my dad. Whenever this is on the radio, or I have the time, I like to turn music like this on. R.I.P Scott Warren, my one and only dad.
Singing is a subset of acting. The troubadour can sing a song of things he's never done and sing it with such sincerity you believe it. That is the magic of Troubadours. That is why music is loved everywhere and throughout all of time and history. It's both acting and storytelling, the Rhythm passes the time and the words linger in your brain because they rhyme. And throughout all time, mind cries for rhyme.
As a young man that grew up in the Catskill Mtns and now live in South Carolina. The mountains call to me. For me to spend time in the Smokey mountain is the best I can do. But they are the same ridge mountain just they change names in different states. God I need to go again .
Mine as well, but my wistful feelings are connected to West Virginia. From 78 to 82 while working at a National Lab I was part of a sampling team doing fossil fuel studies for which we went to Morgantown,West Virginia twice a year , to gather aerosol and particle samples from coal combustion and coal gasification processes. Being from the desert Southwest it was so beautiful and green though smotheringly humid. And the trees in fall•••• oh my God the color. And then on one trip there was that lady at the bar in the Ramada Inn. And though it wasn't December 63, Oh What a Night ❗⚡❗
This song reminds me of a people giving them selves away after they all sang this song in an establishment but went deaf dumb and blind to a similar song after
Простите за это просто я не понимаю смысл, вы это поняли по языку на котором я пишу. Но я смотрела с субтитрами конец «make happy» поэтому это звучит невероятно смешно😂
That's okay, this isn't country music. It's pop music sung by a man named John Denver who wasn't from Denver and has never been to West Virginia. But Troubadours are convincing, that's why music is magical. And I know because I'm from the Stinking Desert National Monument Chorus.
This is the most absolutely the best song I ever heard from John Denver . I just finished singing his song
Always my home, I spent 4 years serving in the Army. I came home. Nothing called to me like the hills and hollers where I live and where I will die

Nostalgia for our mother and the place we called our childhood home is evoked by listening to this song of late John Denver.
This song makes me feel nostalgic for a life I never lived. Greetings from Brazil
