Love all around. I was just a little guy but that love still is still with me to this day. They're all gone but they'll always have a place in heart forever. Fishing trips to the river with my Uncle, nights at Rosie's deli with the WHOLE family, like 40 people, kids running around and so much food. I was so lucky and blessed. So very fortunate. And so, so grateful.

After having a difficult childhood with parents who treat me lesser and dont respect how god made me i cry every day hoping for them to just treat me equal and how god made me ive been living in depression most of my life they keep me from being myself and I cant deal with it all my hope in this world is to cast my goals into my spirit and become someone great whenever my childhood haunts me i lose hope and fail so whenever i want to do something i set my goal to become great at it and then i will become great at it "take me home country roads to my goals and to god" soon you'll remember me as great....

I was just in Harper's Ferry WV on vacation. There is a pub and grill called Almost Heaven there and you're surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah River converges with the Potomac River. The town embodies this song perfectly. It felt like home to me, I didn't want to leave. I've been there several times. First time I spent a few days there. Usually I took day trips. I highly recommend a trip there.

This song makes me think of my roommate in college. He was from Osk Hill, West Virginia. Often we’d drive three hours to hang out with his family and friends back in West Virginia. Good memories. However, my best memory is when this good ole’ West Virginia boy led me to the Lord. This Baptist boy shared the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ wherever he went. When I surrendered my life to Christ, it changed everything. I’ll forever be grateful for this dear friend from West Virginia. Though flawed, I am blessed to travel throughout the United States preaching the life changing power of the gospel. For many reading this, to come home is to surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
I drove through Wheeler, WV when I moved from Sacramento, CA to Pittsburgh, PA, it was beautiful and yes I played this on repeat the whole time I was in West Virginia and I was sad when I made it to PA and had to turn my soundtrack off. The song gets me emotional now, it always has, really, but much more so after that drive. That’s one of my favorite memories, long story as to why exactly, but it’s a good memory. Of all the major cities and small towns I drove through, wheeler was my favorite.
