Miss Solomon Islands 2019 Gladys Habu returns home to an euphoric homecoming welcome in Honiara after competing in the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant competition in Port Moresby, PNG on Nov 30, 2019. She was the 1st Runner Up of the competition. SIBC TV packaged bulletin of Sunday 8 December 2019.

It is not the skin of the person that matters but her country of citizenship. You are bringing up irrelevant consideration here. Ms Habu comes from Isabel Province of Solomon Islands and, like many Solomon Islanders of her age, is a well educated and well-spoken person. She has a degree from from an Australian university where quite alot of Solomon Islanders obtain their degrees, including doctorates.

Not all Solomon Islanders are black. Solomon Islands is one of the most diverse and multi racial and cultural places in the South Pacific.
