Thanks! I did a lot of brainstorming with my grandpa who gave me the crosley transmission for this project! Thanks for watching and your comment as well!
Now hook some servos up to this steering wheel and use a remote control and you can sit back in your lawn chair and plow the fields by just working a few joysticks on it
Cool video brother first one i've seen with two transmissions great job I am a new subscriber I can't wait to see all of your videos thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise and hello from Detroit Michigan
Good job I've built many clutch/ clutches for things but that's the way lawn mowers have always been anyway when your clutch is thrown out and the belt is slack make sure you have a bolt or something rubbing on the belt right under the pulley to keep it completely off of the drive pulley off of the engine that always works the best most lawn mowers and other things have that built into the clutch system , it just makes it smoother. All that does is rub on the back of the belt to keep it off of the pulley when clutched in it will not do anything to the belt actually it will make the whole thing last longer and be smoother
I absolutely love your gas tank it looks like something my friends and I would do when putting together a go-kart or something but if it works it works and do what works
I agree. I put the pillow block bearing out front where the flywheel would normally be to try to help the load. We shall see🤞🏻 Thanks for your comment!
I would just use a lever to pull tension off the belt for a clutch like most lawn tractors. It's funny that little Honda engine has about the same power as the original engine. 👍
Neat design! Definitely that high idle and/or governor setting can up the RPM's. I didn't do a audio frequency check to correlate to RPM's, though sounded lower that spec. Thanks for sharing. I like, commented and subscribed.
The Honda GX powered Farmall that's an interesting one my Honda powered oddity is my Honda Davidson and it's a Harley-Davidson frame with a V-Twin Honda GX engine so I took one half of the Harley Davidson label and one half the Honda label and splice them together and put them on the tank
With it having a 3/4-in shaft why don't you just get a centrifugal clutch from tractor supplier someplace like that go power sports and then just put a pulley instead of a sprocket at the end of it and that's been done before my friends have done it and that way you solved your clutching problem if you want to go a little more expensive you can use a go power sports Juggernaut CVT bolt right up to the engine. Have an excellent day
Myself I would went with a Harbor Freight engine, you could get their 420cc engine for the same as you pay for a Honda 212. Have used the HF engines for several years now and have had no issues with them.
It would be interesting to see what it's holding weight on a capacity is with both transmissions in first gear I wonder what the Ballard pole rate would be
It's going to be amazing if that thing runs off of a 212cc Honda GX I was thinking you might have used a V-Twin 670 Honda GX but the smaller and it still works the better
WHy? Hell, Farmall's are common, this is what happens when yer Factory engine blows up, & it will. I'd like to try this on my compact tractor where the clutch keeps blowing to hell. Should have plenty of power with the low geared transmission for hobby farm work.
I did what your doing in the 80's, Worked great, Mine was chain drive with centrifugal clutch, Same transmission Worked perfect. 12hp Briggs.
Great Video !! It Was Alot of Thinking Going On About The Reduction Gear , I Betcha.

I like your sense of experimentation, who knows what this will lead to!
Thanks!

Impressive mustache , made me sub . Cool project !
Thanks!

It’s on the list! Thank you!
Nice project! How you doing the clutch?
Thanks! The next video in the series covers that. Check out my page! It’s a simple lever setup.
I absolutely love your gas tank it looks like something my friends and I would do when putting together a go-kart or something but if it works it works and do what works
Keep an eye on the input shaft bearing for premature wear. It is far behind the driven pulley. Nice job.
I agree. I put the pillow block bearing out front where the flywheel would normally be to try to help the load. We shall see🤞🏻 Thanks for your comment!
The belt drive is smooth and nice and quiet
Can you share what tranny you added…?
Was it easy to locate…?
Great work, sir, impressive idea.
Thanks!

Sorry didn't see the clutch video.
Room for two engines :o) The clutch on my rat bike (see channel for wtf) is a belt with a foot pedal to tighten and get drive. It works ace 👍
Absolutely that clutch system has been used on lawn mowers for years and other things
Probably a testament as to how far metallurgy and engine development has come over the years.
Bet it was easy to push and does it actually pull a decent load
That's pretty cool, guessing it could be a handy rig as well!
Indeed! We will put it to work soon!

Very creative! I may have to do a similar idea for a logo! Thanks for your comment.

Beautiful vintage build
Love all the hard work
Awesome content
Not shabby, in fact, really good, sir!"
Thanks!
Very cool project 👍

Do you need to replace it with a two cylinder engine that looks ridiculous sticking out like that
It would be interesting to see what it's holding weight on a capacity is with both transmissions in first gear I wonder what the Ballard pole rate would be
It works!! Good old American ingenuity. Wonder how steep of a grade it can handle in low-low?
I will add it to the testing list!

Theirs alot of old tractors out there that cld be given a new life doing this
Very neat fab work
Thank you!
Nice…. You have a clutch already…. The belt tensioner is your clutch….
Not a pillow block bearing, that is a flange bearing. Still looks like a cool project!😊
So nice moustache 😮!
Cool project
Sweet!
Thanks!
Find you a Farmall engine.
Then you'll have a tractor.

My thoughts exactly
This is the dumbest idea I’ve seen yet . If you’re lucky it might pull a empty hey rack downhill 👍
@@traderjack6151 ruining a good tractor
A lot of farmall people would be very upset with how you are powering that tractor
Its a desecration to an American icon
Horsepower of Honda engine. Thanks
On the engine cover, it states 11 horsepower. Engine is a GX340. Thanks for watching and your comment!
Screwing up an American icon with Japanese junk
4 cyl diesel kubota engine would be better
cool
New sub here 🤓
Thank you for your support!
Sacrilege
HAHA! Maybe a little. Thanks for viewing and for your comment.
Better than going to the scrap pile. I think its damn cool. Too bad you didnt have a 2 cylinder Briggs.
@@HondoCalhoun69.75 If I get my hands on one, I might just swap it in. We’ll see. Thanks for your support and comment!
