What an amazing time to live in. I remember watching old videos of Paul and being highly inspired to improve my Indian Club practice. He's been an inspiration for me and so many. And here we are years later to create a video about why you should pick up a pair of Indian clubs too. We will talk about the benefits of indian clubs and why you should swing them. Benefits for the arms, tendons, ligaments, coordination, brain, and much more. Plus, Paul Wolkowinski will share a personal story too how light clubs helped with the rehabilitation of his shoulder after a surgery. I hope this video will spark inspiration in all generations to pick this old tradition which can keep you healthy until the day you die. Enjoy :)

Just starting on clubs and I noticed something that is left out. In the books from the 1800s and early 1900s they have the feet pointing out like the first position in ballet. This automatically activates the posterior chain for total body activation. Why does no one, that I can find, address this? Everyone now points the feet forward. It requires that the foot, knee and hip are turned out in a line so you don’t mess up your knee 😅. I’ve trained martial arts for 20 years and we do a form of horse stance with the feet, knee and hip pointed out to create total body force. Love to hear why it’s not talked about in clubs. Missing link?

Interesting! I've never heard someone talk about that to be honest. I see that it could be easier to activate the glutes in that position, and it could free up the lines for the clubs a little. I'll investigate it further, thanks for that :)

Weck Method advocates for a 45 degree position of the foot when squatting as a mechanical advantage. It does make the squat more comfortable.

these speed-clubs were used almost worldwide up until WW2

Correct! The movements were inspired by old British dumbbell swinging and the switch from dumbbells to clubs came after England invaded India.

@@TheFlowingDutchman that's right! I love the videos of scores of people doing these at the olympics, at other big events, on Military bases, on school grounds, and, sometimes you will still see older folks doing these in retirement centers but it's becoming more and more rare. I just had somebody on the Bioneer channel asking me about what I've gained and learned from using the wooden ones and the steel ones
