Magic is for 'Magic Hour'. It's the time of day when the sun is just on the horizon at dawn or dusk and you get the prettiest light out of it. It's also called 'Golden Hour'.
I have to use FD 8 still because they took out customisation of keys for shortcuts, on 8 you could assign character/dia/action lines to a specific key so it's extremely quick, but for some reason they removed it and make you press ctrl+alt to access a custom key, it's backwards design
Quick question. I like to write and write and write and write as action and then go back and convert some text to dialogue. Is there a shortcut to highlight text and change the style? It used to be a feature in Adobe story which unfortunately has been discontinued.
Thanks for reaching out! Sorry, I don't know the answer to this. But, I do think if you just hit tab to write the dialogue right away, it would speed it up from the start! Or you basically need to go over it all and highlight with your mouse and change it to dialogue, which might take a while, sadly. I'm sorry I can't help out more! But if I find an answer to this I for sure will let you know!
Yes! Correct. In this tutorial I just showed the shortcuts, but a slugline should include int or ext. Where… like house and night or day. So INT. HOUSE - NIGHT ☺️
What would you like to learn next in final draft?
Maria, nice video. Thanks for making it. Would you happen to know what's the keyboard shortcut for all caps in Final Draft?
