I have Final Draft 9 (still in the box)... My MacBook Pro is 11 years old... I have been writing manuscripts for publishing (I have worked on a Newspaper for over 18 years). Where did all the time go... LOL NOW... This year... I want a NEW iPad or MacBook Pro and Final Draft 12... so I can adapt my (book) manuscript into a screenplay.
I love this video... I have never seen anyone take the time and consideration to MAGNIFY a section of what they're talking or illustrating.... WOW! That is so helpful. Thank you for sharing this great video... and "Hello" from Southeastern, New Mexico USA
Good afternoon and how are you. I had written my first screenplay for a movie on Micro-Soft Word. Will I be able to transfer the script from Micro-Soft Word to Final Draft 12? Thanks.
I am good. How are you? Thank you for tuning in! ☺️ You should be able to just copy paste, but then you might have to look over the formatting so the text looks like you want to. If you get to many changes, you could try to export it as a PDF from word and then import it to FD. Then you will probably have to look over the text as well but it should go pretty quick as you read through. Here is a link on how to import a PDF: ruclips.net/video/p8_9cJFYaqM/видео.html
@@anothercharacter Yeah I was using Microsoft word with a lot of customer templates for free screenwriting. And now I take those pdfs and convert them into Final Draft and just touch up any issues that might have occurred in the exporting. It’s wonderful how accurate their auto formatting is
If you are looking for a writing partner there are several screenwriting groups on facebook. ”screenwriting” is one. There are also a lot tweeting under #screenwriting so maybe have a look there! ☺️
first write some work as a sample of your style so you can align with someone who has the same style and gets it. The worst thing is getting a partner only to realize he doesn't get it or is just plain terrible at this.
Are you excited about the upgrade? Do you think you will get it?

Thank you for your kind words! 😄 I’m glad you liked it and hopefully it will help you pick.
Thank you for, great review, and trustworthiness.
Thanks for reaching out and that you liked the video! :-)
have you noticed that the outline portion on top is not smooth? on my MBP 16 inch its a bit choppy performance. Turned me off.
Do you mean how we did the tutorial or how the software is designed? Thanks for reaching out! :)
