A friend of mine turned me onto Hekili Priority Helper. Its actually a really neat addon that helps you learn rotations better and has improved my playstyle. It works sort of like a Weak Aura.
He called it "MoveAnything" in this video, but he was actually using "MoveAny". "MoveAnything" hasn't been updated in years and doesn't work anymore, but "MoveAny" is new and built for Dragonflight.
Agreed! I've preferred ArkInventory for the past ~14 years, but Adibags is awesome too and the two addons are very similar (and much nicer than Bagnon).
Some others if you do a follow-up vid: Postal: allows automatic retrieving of items in your mail, absolute necessity for AH barons. Also allows mass attachment of items to mail, so if you farmed 20 stacks of ore to send to your BS, it's one or two clicks instead of 20. Hekili: rotation helper that does a great job helping you learn and be competent at a new class or spec. Basically a weak aura. Also can track availability of your interrupts, cooldowns, and defensives. Titan Panel: Tracks need-to-know info in a single, easy to reference space, a small bar across the top of the screen. Durability, total gold across all your characters (and which toon has how much), ping, fps, time, coordinates, time-to-level, and more. Also serves as a dock for many other addons quick buttons (like bartender or Hekili) so that you can disable their minimap buttons that tend to clutter the minimap. Deja Character Stats: brings back the more granular character sheet with better/more info. Customizable so you can hide what you don't care about. RareScanner: alerts you when you get close to a Rare and the Rare is up/active.
Minimap button bag helps out with the crazy amount of addons on your minimap by putting them in one place, BetterWardrobe, you can basically see every single set for your armor type, Saved Instances!!!! it shows you lockouts, currencies, renown, callings, quite literally everything
I personally use a very Addon heavy UI, trying out ElvUI (proper default filters are soooo nice) again, though I may have to switch back to my alternatives for performance reasons in raid, which has a ton of other neat addons. Some small addons, I find incredibly useful, even with ElvUI: Addon Control Panel: Lets you setup profiles for which addons to load. Dialog Key (use Dialog Key DF, settings atm limited to the actual .lua file): Lets you accept prompts with a key and choose dialogue options with 1234. DeModal: Move every window and open multiple at once. You can open talents without everything closing, also scale everything. (scaling not working with ElvUI) Domination Socket Helper: Ignore the Domination, it add an easy socket swap frame to your character pane. Vendor: Vendor items according to filters you set up. Quite handy also for running old content. ElvUI Windtools: A ton of stuff, please disable to auto says!!

12:45 from my experience I would always recommend going in raw. It’s by far the most rewarding experience and has always ended up with me having a great time.
Some addons that I use instead ones listed on game (or compliment for existing ones): - Bagnon ItemInfo: shows item levels, if armor or weapon is BoE and color the item according. Of course it depends on bagnon. - DeJunk: sells junk and items that you can't use or is very low level for your char. You can customize what you can automatically sells, haves lists, auto-destroy junk, etc. - TradeSkillMaster: the God of auction addons. It is very customisable and a must have if you play AH in daily basis. But it is not for novices because it's complexity on almost everything. But have many tutorials for it.
MoveAny (in the video) and MoveAnything (in the addon list) are different addons. MoveAny has been updated for DF, MoveAnything has not yet been updated for DF.
Yes! And does anyone know of an add-on that will leave the Blizzard raid frames alone, but allow the resizing of them? MoveAnything used to do this and I haven't found a single replacement that doesn't fully overhaul the raid frames.
This is true, though I still plan on going back to clique as the blizzard implementation is a blanket, all or nothing setup. I generally prefer only specific beneficial spells being mouseover enabled, not every last ability. I don't like having to be paranoid about where my mouse cursor is to avoid using damaging or mobility skills on wrong targets.
Also, Clique allows you to have different actions on a key depending on if you're hovering over the unitframes or not. So as a healer you could have your dmg spells/abilities on 1,2,3 while having healing spells on 1,2,3 when hovering over the group frames.
On healbot I can have the option to auto target the player when I'm click casting which I can't find on bliz UI. Also Healbot is a separate window so I can still click on player profiles to inspect etc.. I'm not sure how to all of that on default UI if it'S even possible.
Another addon I can't recommend enough: UIScale I have almost a 4k display and the default UI scale options don't go low enough for it to be pixel perfect. With this, you can just click a button and it will automatically set everything to a pixel perfect scale!
Leatrix plus and Leatrix maps are goated addons. Even after the UI revamp, these two are probably never going to leave my list. There's just so much that they do/can do with the only downside being having two more addons in my already small, gutted list. For those wondering, they're super light weight and are incredibly user friendly. Please, give them a try!
Instead of Handynotes for Dragonriding glyphs, I just want something that makes a sound or pops some text when you get the notification that a glyph is nearby.
"Baganon" is a nice day-to-day, but the ability to seperate your items by expansion/crafting/catagories with section titles and unique names? U HAVE to try Adibags.
as a fury warrior I love jumping into a pile of mobs in a dungeon run and popping all my aoe cooldowns and seeing my damage meter EXPLODE (initially...until the demon hunter catches up....)
You're missing the JocyCom TextToSpeech addon. I know that Dragonflight already added built in text-to-speech, but it only works for the chat log, and you can't using premium voices like Amazon Polly. With Jocys, you can have it read quest text, and link it up with your Amazon account for premium voices which will cost you probably one one-thousands of a penny per quest reading. Unfortunately it doesn't work well with immersion unless you have it set up automatically start reading whenever you talk with any NPC, which can overlap with actual voice acting.
And for some reason when I drag the Mage teleport selector to a bar , it will not open and show all the places that I can to. Might want to test that . I use BT, Auctionator, Wow-Pro, Bagnon, Pawn, Askmrrobot, Rarefinder and Worldquuest. Always have been good and worked and they are all 10.0......lots of issues with Bagnon and Mage Teleporting
In regards to 9:09 Clique, you can now have full keyboard click over party and raid frames, all netively. From options> keybindings> click casting, that works with keys too no? Am I missing something?
one addon to add IMO is blizzmove. you can move any window in game that pops up, and if you hold control. mouse wheel will scale (higher/lower) the window you are mousing over. the scaling alone is nice to have
trust me, when you finalized using hundreds of hours to setup Elvui, you won't be able to live without it. Not because it's a must have addon, but because otherwise you will feel that you wasted all that time if you don't
I'm really struggling with how wow has apparently made new restrictions for add-ons, like MoveAny being forbidden to move certain UI elements, while at the same time the edit mode doesn't let you touch them, achievement and loot popups are stuck inside your action bars, durability frame is literally in the middle of the screen like they just forgot to put it somewhere.. I hope they give us even more options ingame or remove these restrictions

Plater is really popular, but I'm too used to Kui Nameplates. Even if they update a bit slow, I started using them with Elvui before and just can't let go even now.
What's the WeakAura that basically does what I see in this video? Pulls the appropriate spec-specific resource bar into the middle and puts your most-used cooldowns/keys front and centre above that bar for easy tracking? Would love that.
I wanna ditch ElvUI but I can't live without the much nicer looking chat and extra features available from ElvUI plugins. If you can recommend me a decent chat addon (not chatter, it doesn't function) I would leave it behind for good.

Im back from a long break. How do i update all my old addons? or delete them so i can get the ones you recommend? When i played i think i used something named curse, was so easy to update everything.
I'm just using Handynotes for the travel map points. Nothing is more frustrating as a new player than getting a quest to travel to another dimension and have no quest text, arrows or map markers showing me how to get to that dimension. Zones... is that the correct term?
I just need a target of target frame that does not give errors or overwrites other elements of the UI. Blizz has this on options but where you have it checked or not, the frame does not appear. It's so frustrating!

Instead of Plater, i use Tidyplates. For some extra basics i use Auto track map pin and Unlimited map pin distance and MinimapButtonBag Reborn, I would also add some basics for pvp like sArena or gladius, battleground targets and Reflex
I have so many of these but every day I have problems with them all breaking the game. I update every day, several times a day but still stuff crashes, I can't use my spells unless I mouse click or other annoyances. I just wish Bliz would let us have our add ons and not try to make us use what they provide. I'm too old to go back to basics tyvm! Not fun in a dungeon when all of a sudden you can't fight and the ui needs resetting.
Is there an addon to override being forced to spend all your talent points before saving yet? Gotta say this is genuinely the only thing I feel I NEED and addon for. The others I have are all QOL 😊❤
That sounds like a game requirement and not something an add-on would be able to alter. If you don't mind elaborating I'm curious where/why that would be useful.

C'mon with the misplaced stamps. I will never use most of the ad reads so why do I have to guess where it end to skip it when the bar at the bottom is supposed to show where the next segment is but never does?

KkthnxUI is another great UI addon with a lot of neat things just like elvi UI, but better when it comes to fps. It's currently broken unfortunately, but I hope the author will fix it soon.
Immersion is amazing, I can't go back. The old way was too overwhelming and hard to read. I cannot recommend it enough. Also, Michael, where oh where are the fishing add-ons..I just, I just need a right click when pole equipped. T.T Fishing buddy and FishingAce are busted, but at least FA works mostly as long as you don't open your trade window
AFAIK MoveAnything is not updated for 10.0 - Atleast I have not been able to update it via curseforge yet, it won't work. How are you getting it to work?
Bagnon is currently unusable with patch-flu, but from the dev of Bartender is a slightly less powerful replacement Inventorian. It's still worth it for making the bank a single bag rather than the default horrible unreadable old system.
Since my addon of choice is broken, what addon can I use to change raid/parties to group colors in the blocks like you see in the clip about weakauras above? The game default green is killing my eyes.
If you mean just coloring the health bars in class colors in the raid frames, default can do that. Go to Options (not Edit Mode, though it really should be in there) and search for "colors." The checky box should show up.
i like damage meters to se how i can max my damage its a bit more understandable and more easy to se when ur training ur rotation so on and still learning so to me its not a in pants messuring contest but more of a i want to be better with my class and explore without having to go out and google it

AdiBags is still the best bag management addon IMO. It is so much easier to search for item in small group of same items.

Tomcat tours even has info on the DF invasions, it shows which area has what invasion on the main screen instead of looking at the map

details is not just for comparing D sizes, it's also really useful for reviewing combat scenarios e.g. what did dmg or how u died

Bagnon is currently not working very well. A friend and I both had an issue where having bagnon just made the bags not able to be opened.

Id recommend Rarity. So good for mount and pet collecting. How else will you know how many times you killed the Lich king farming for invincible?

Bagnon is having issues with a set up that uses BT, I cannot get Bagnon to work unless i disable BT....any takes on this?

The problem with Bagnon, at least right now and for me, is that it won't let me OPEN my bags. Something's gone screwy between game and add on.

Look for the Curseforge Alpha addon manager. There's been a lot of shakeup in the addon downloader scene the past couple years.
Re: The Dragonriding Glyphs, I just tracked the achievement in each zone and was able to find all but one on my own.

"Weak" Auras; is actually the strongest thing ever
Instead of Plater, i use Tidyplates. For some extra basics i use Auto track map pin and Unlimited map pin distance and MinimapButtonBag Reborn, I would also add some basics for pvp like sArena or gladius, battleground targets and Reflex
Tidy is old and often buggy
Does anyone still use Carbonite? I haven't played WoW for a bit but used to love that add-on.

I wish I could recommend MailCommander for mass-mailing between alts but it's been broken since prepatch
I have so many of these but every day I have problems with them all breaking the game. I update every day, several times a day but still stuff crashes, I can't use my spells unless I mouse click or other annoyances. I just wish Bliz would let us have our add ons and not try to make us use what they provide. I'm too old to go back to basics tyvm! Not fun in a dungeon when all of a sudden you can't fight and the ui needs resetting.
Is there an addon to override being forced to spend all your talent points before saving yet? Gotta say this is genuinely the only thing I feel I NEED and addon for. The others I have are all QOL 😊❤
That sounds like a game requirement and not something an add-on would be able to alter.
If you don't mind elaborating I'm curious where/why that would be useful.

I had to go back to z-perl unit frames - they just show more info on the plates. Don't hate the new Blizz UI - just need MORE.
C'mon with the misplaced stamps. I will never use most of the ad reads so why do I have to guess where it end to skip it when the bar at the bottom is supposed to show where the next segment is but never does?
how do people manage their addons these days?
i used to use curseforge, but i think that was bought by twitch, so you used the twitch app, but that has died now. is a standalone curseforge still the thing?
My world quest addons say out of date in the game but in curse forge says up to date, are those really working?
So I installed bunch of addons that you recommended and went to tank Jailor... it was fun, half of my actionbars were not responding and I could not tank swap or use some of my defensive cds, thanks! xD
KkthnxUI is another great UI addon with a lot of neat things just like elvi UI, but better when it comes to fps. It's currently broken unfortunately, but I hope the author will fix it soon.
Autojunkseller and dejacharacterstats is a must have

Immersion is amazing, I can't go back. The old way was too overwhelming and hard to read. I cannot recommend it enough.
Also, Michael, where oh where are the fishing add-ons..I just, I just need a right click when pole equipped. T.T Fishing buddy and FishingAce are busted, but at least FA works mostly as long as you don't open your trade window
AFAIK MoveAnything is not updated for 10.0 - Atleast I have not been able to update it via curseforge yet, it won't work. How are you getting it to work?
Bagnon is currently unusable with patch-flu, but from the dev of Bartender is a slightly less powerful replacement Inventorian. It's still worth it for making the bank a single bag rather than the default horrible unreadable old system.
Since my addon of choice is broken, what addon can I use to change raid/parties to group colors in the blocks like you see in the clip about weakauras above? The game default green is killing my eyes.
If you mean just coloring the health bars in class colors in the raid frames, default can do that. Go to Options (not Edit Mode, though it really should be in there) and search for "colors." The checky box should show up.
Combine bag default ui option does not work with the bank
i like damage meters to se how i can max my damage its a bit more understandable and more easy to se when ur training ur rotation so on and still learning so to me its not a in pants messuring contest but more of a i want to be better with my class and explore without having to go out and google it

Unless I'm dumb, I find it stupid that the bank bags don't combine so I went back to elvui after trying to make my ui nice, that did it for me
Rematch should have been mentioned here too, for pet battle stuff. But I suppose most pet battlers already know of it
