Survivorman Bigfoot | Episode 8 | Texas & Utah | Les Stroud

- Опубликовано: 17 дек 2020
- Les tracks Sasquatch from East Texas to rural Utah in an effort to elicit an encounter.
Les begins his search in East Texas, invited onto private land by a local who claims to have experienced Bigfoot phenomenon for over 35 years. For Les to succeed, he has to find concrete proof. He collects DNA samples, analyzes tree breaks and plants hidden cameras to lure Bigfoot into his frame. Combining low-tech with high-tech surveillance puts the odds in his favor, but Les has to keep digging if he wants to find out the truth. Locals’ stories lead him to the remote mountain terrain of rural Utah. Here, ungodly screams and tales of haunted hollows find Les camped out in a canyon way off the beaten path. Les remains firmly planted between skepticism and acceptance. Lacking irrefutable evidence, Bigfoot is a contradiction. A 10ft monster that he can’t find…

All I can say about Survivorman is there are very few shows where I can watch the same episode over and over.
He's the only channel I don't speed up the playback!
I agree, I do the same! LOL

Agreed, and that's also because he isn't fake like so many other programs these days. I hope he keeps it real and doesn't add a bunch of bs to add to anything because he doesn't have to! ✌️👍
@@sc0tte1-416 I agree, the only script is almost all written by nature. Remember the episode in Temagami Ontario? Temagami is about 30 -40 kms from the start of The Boreal Forest in Ontario along Yonge Street/Highway #11. Yonge Street starts near Lake Ontario a Great Lake.
I love how Les tries to figure out different ways to outsmart Sasquatch with the cameras. He is such a master in his craft and so enjoyable to watch
😂 He's not very smart then. All you'd have to do is put two cameras facing each other and no one would be able to disturb them without being recorded. Almost always, they put cameras facing away, and that just makes me suspicious of their intentions.
les, if you see this, in texas they were there, but all the infarred comming off the cameras night vision kept them at bay. infarred is like us looking into the sun without shades. to get them in turn the infarred off on the cams and put a separate infarred source wide beam so it diffuses and covers the area allowing the cams to pick up but not running the bigfoot off.
i use a 500watt infarred as protection when in the woods. when shined on their face it is like ya threw hot water on them.
THE LAST WORD
Les i am a Canadian hunter and i think those structures are hunting blinds..every time you find one look around and they seem like good ambush and spotting locations..the trees piled like that will help break up their image and work like camouflage and do not have to be solid is how the camo works. Love all your shows..and i think they migrate with the seasons to follow their food sources.
You are probably the most accurate on the phenomenon. I have found repeated similar ambush locations along game trails
Agree with all. I live in Poland in suburb of Warsaw near forest, and I also spotted these 'tree truck structures'. Also in my place there is a Wendigo and people been bited. Maybe thats why Humama migrated to higher place
Les should definitely check out the Sierra Camp that was highlighted on Missing 411 The Hunted. Maybe he can get the camper to take him there and tell his stories again. Their audio recordings are the most compelling I’ve heard.
Got a link? I'd like to hear the story.

They built an illegal camp in 1970 up in the mountains and got scared by their first bigfoots encounter. The following year they returned with multiple audio recording devices they placed in and around the camp. The complex howls and vocalizations that were recorded remain the best audio evidence of the bigfoots, analyzed by scientists who claim "no human has such a vocal range"

Les should definitely do more survivorman bigfoot shows, I love his unbiased skeptically open minded interpretation of the subject.

He actually totally believes in Bigfoot and has encountered them many times. He just making show. He actually captured a Bigfoot in the trees on camera by accident.

The fact that nobody can get a clear HD shot of this creature, we can't find bones, corpses, better evidence than anecdotes, is enough to keep the door pretty closed on this. Tell me when they find a corpse or a living specimen would be best, otherwise I remain unconvinced.

Les, I don't know if you will ever see this comment and or reply to me but here it goes anyway. I've recently been watching all of your Bigfoot videos. When I came across the episode you did in these texts it brought back memories from 1976 when I was 10 years old. We were at our deer lease just south of the Alabama coushatta Indian reservation and north of Woodville Texas. A couple of deer had been harvested that evening and we were having a good time by the campfire eating supper and reminiscing over the days hunt. I went around the back of a barn to get some more wood for the campfire and it was the area where we had cleaned the deer to process them. The gut piles we're left laying there close to the woodland for we had cleaned the deer that were hanging from a big oak tree limb. When I walked around the back of the barn I smelled something that was very foul and I knew that the entrails from the deer refresh but I shine my flashlight in that direction. That was when something moved and my flashlight landed on something very dark but Harry and it stood up the eye shine that I saw moving no more than 30 ft from me was probably at least between 7:00 and 8 ft off the ground and I could hear heavy breathing. That lasted for about 5 seconds and I heard a growl and it turned and ran off into the woods and I did the same except I ran back to the campfire for my dad and the others were at and told them the story. They just laughed at me but I know what I saw and they quit laughing at me the next morning when they saw the footprints in the mud by the creek right behind the barn where the deer had been processed. Mr Les Stroud I'm a subscriber of your channel and I love watching your videos and I truly hope that you are the one that eventually proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that what all of us who have had these encounters no is real. I hope you get the credit for bringing forth the evidence that once and for all shuts the people up that say that Bigfoot, Sasquatch or whatever else they are known as is real. Keep up the good work and God bless your fan the Texas Big Bear.
People that don't hear or see what you did, will never believe unless they experience it too. Just outside tonight, in the pitch black dark about 50 feet away down by my creek I heard large branches pop. Not snap......pop. definitely large pieces of wood. There's no bears around here either. Then only seconds later about 20 feet or less away when I was walking away, I heard a loud low tone hiss sound. The small animals here that do hiss have higher pitched hisses. I got super chills when I heard that (and I do now thinking about it), but I went inside to get my large machete. Something for the next 30 minutes was hanging around down there, but never came past the wood line. I had a fire going too. The sounds stopped as soon as my friends got back from the store. Maybe I was being hunted? When I shined my phone light into the woods, I could swear I saw a quick glimpse of a yellow glowing eye, but I can't confirm it. It was so quick. I live in a fairly populated area so I doubt it was a "big foot", but what could be large enough to pop branches that thick? Again, there's absolutely no bears around here.
THIS is why I feel like this is legit. This was basically a video where nothing happened, but thats all part of the game. This goes to show that this isnt about producing an entertaining show, its about the truth and science behind it. Thank you Les!
yea that other show that wont be named nothing happens but its incredibly overproduced and overdramatic. basically every snapped twig, fallen eggcorn and hoot'n owl is "thats definitely a squatch bro!" *music swells *cut to commercial*
Its always in pitch dark with shitty night vision too.
Yea this is about as good as a bigfoot show you can do
I dont believe in it yet but I dont know
I think it is a very entertaining show because it is based on truth & science.
Also great marketing scheme as well!! Makes you watch and watch and watch!! 👏

Hey Les!
I am a professional wildlife photographer and I’ve been in nature for many years studying animal behavior and birds.
Something I do often to attract certain bird species is play recordings of their calls off my phone or a JBL portable speaker, if the birds are in the area, they come right in my area to check me out where I can shoot them.
I was thinking, in the previous episode where you played the recording from your witness of a suspected big foot, you should isolate that video clip and play it on a speaker out in the wild where you are in hopes you get a response and bring them in (if you want haha)
I have had much success with this method and getting stunning closeups of rarer bird species and other wildlife. It’s worth a shot! Love these episodes!

Scott Carpenter is anything but a nut.
Les, thank you for your approach and documenting this "phenomena" called Bigfoot. I'm a skeptic/fence rider like you. But I am open minded and know that we do not know everything about our planet yet. About 15 years ago (I was 35ish and have been hunting Utah & Idaho woods with my dad; since I could walk). My dad & I experienced the "hair on our neck standing up" feeling when we pulled into an area at o'dark thirty, approximately 20-30° F and about 6" of fresh snow on the ground; after a long day of whitetail hunting in central Idaho. We both, almost at the same time...said "do you sense that?". We were still in the truck, windows rolled up & engine running. We agreed it best to go a few miles away to camp for the night. The eeriness subsided as soon as we drove away. We didn't see anything. Didn't smell anything. Didn't hear anything. But we both definitely felt something. What it was...we don't know. Drove by in the dark the next morning to hunt again, and the feeling was gone. It would be interesting to ride horses deep into some of Idaho's wilderness's areas, where truly few people go; and spend a week or 2 researching. That way, you could almost rule out hoaxing 100%. Just a thought.
Thank you Les for being out there… for the rest of us who are unable or unwilling to explore Bigfoot terrain, we can’t all be you because if we were, your adventures would hold no interest… so I raise my glass 🥃 and my cigar to you sir, keep up the great work

We need more of Les Stroud regardless of the series. I have learned so much and my interest in bushcraft and survivalism and just camping and hiking in general. Les has been the base for which propelled myself to want to grow and learn these sometimes simple yet life saving techniques.
Les saved my life during these quarantined times with these episodes!
Years ago I loved watching outdoors shows on survival and I could Les Stroud was the most genuine because it matched a lot of what I've learned in wilderness survival. Not like the other hosts who had army of cameramen to showcase survival and taking stupid stunt risks just to show off your skills or "toughness" that's how you die alone. With Les you really felt the loneliness that can happen when your in the woods on your own and the respect that you have to give your environment because it can keep you alive or kill you. Keep doing what you've been doing Les and being honest tons of us support you!
The "tree structures" (trees "stacked" upright) at 36:41 and 36:53 look a LOT like wood caches that hunters/backpackers will make to keep wood dry (and out of the snow), and as an easy-to-see marker to find a favorite campsite in the snow.
It's Christmastime for the bigfooters!! You rock! 35K views in 45 minutes-wow!
Years ago some friends and family were discussing the bigfoot topic and things we had heard while hunting in Northern California. Each of us had our own opinion of who would discover or had real sightings / experiences with the hairy dude. The Eastons or Bill Bear were at the top but my choice was Les Stroud. He is the real deal and I knew if anyone had seen or heard something it was him. Here we are today , maybe not as far along as I would like but he's still searching. I have nothing but faith in you Les. Bring us the proof and prove me right. Good luck buddy.
One sure sign of Saquatch intelligence: they stay the hell away from Humans. Very smart if you ask me.
Right? That’s Hyper-Intelligent if you ask me. They know we’re both curious and destructive and capable of “Invading” territory, so they mark there’s Far away and stick to it.
That’s what a lot of Native tribes do too. Makes you really think 😳
Interesting that Les treats these as animals that would be captured by cameras but later in the series, as more enlightened beings that know our game. Love it!
I never have been a bigfoot/sasquatch fanatic. Seemed like it's an interesting possibility well worth research, but I wouldn't be interested in sitting for hours to look at videos. Les has me hooked. No bias, not over zealous, no exaggeration. What is, is. He is handling this with more open mindedness, scientific approach and intellectual integrity than anyone I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if he finally settles it on one side or the other. Epic.
Love the series, would be ecstatic if a second season came out

Les is the only person who "gets it" the fear and paranoia of the "boogy man" when you are out there by yourself. He is a brave brave man. I have been on many solo backpacking trips and even have been chased up a tree by a bear. Camping alone is very scary. I admire he has made a living out of this intense trial.
The fact that you believe this crap is hilarious
The only person? You seem to understand aswell guess there’s two who understand now 🙄
I have spent hundreds of days all alone backpacking, camping, hiking etc. No one ever wants to come. Bunch of city boys who'd rather screw around watching movies or playing video games. The few times anyone came, I spent more time babysitting than enjoying the trip. I never used to carry a gun. NOW, I would not go without, and that's not because of 4 legged critters. It's the 2 leggers that are really dangerous. Way too much strangeness going on out there now.

The screams and baby crying is the sound of coyotes. We had a pack that lived by our house on state land. The sounds they make leave you feeling uneasy if you are not used to it. Family that lived back East came to visit and were freaked out the first night they stayed with us. Sleep with the windows open so it clear. Don’t worry the downstairs windows have bear bars so everyone was safe.
Peacocks sound like dying women and crying babies too.
Yes coyotes are noisy. People hear things and see things that they are not familiar with, and make up stories.

I really enjoy this sub-series of the show. I think Les can probably realize now that he was underestimating the intelligence of these beings and overestimating his ability to outwit them. People ask the question; How would a sasquatch know to hide from a camera or even know what it does? I like to answer this question with a question of my own; how do birds know to fly south for the winter and north for the summer; how do cats know to bury their scat ; how does an octopus know to come out of the water and take a coconut to hide in when sharks are nearby? The sasquatch are highly intuitive creatures that are highly evolved and adapted to meet their needs of survival. The forrests are their domain and they are as familiar with them as you are with your living room.
I'm sorry but that is not a good argument. Animals have instincts from millions of years of adaptation, cameras have only been been around a short time and trail cams only what 20 years?
I like how les has played with so many scent chips but when he pulls out a human scent chip hes like "oh! Oh! God!"🤣👌

@@babablackiesheep yeah I thought this point was compelling. Ancient cultures have been known to do this. There's no reason to think that Sasquatch isn't capable of the same thing if we believe that it's intelligent
Man please don't stop these uploads. Survivor man helping us survive 2020, I also love the behind the scenes stuff of your episodes. And explaining more about certain stuff. I just love all of it
Les, Glad you created this series, cuz I can tell you're having fun. Not out Starving somewhere.
Hope to see you and your buddies from shark week go out again at Michelle 's place.
Peace brother.
Love watching these stories
Everyday is Bigfoot day
Bit4 of advice soon as you have put up trail cams forget it
I know this is like literally the High light of my day that you les for making a day of fixing Toyota wrap up into my passion for this phenomenon
Much to the dismay of the forest industry...no, mores the pity...
I would be more afraid of a bear encounter rather than a bigfoot encounter. All day baby
I hope Les realizes how lucky he was when he had his encounter in Alaska and made it out in one piece.
He’s probably familiar with the subarctic Alaska Sasquatch RUclips channel, which tells some truly horrific stories of hostile Sasquatches who see humans as food to be hunted and tortured.
Yeah bears are pretty serious for real
Love the work Les and how open minded you've been with this but reserved from being persuaded. If I'd get the chance to ever travel and do this I hope we cross paths.
Les you are the best of the best at survival...im surprised bigfoot hasn't approached you for some survival lessons..keep up the awesome job..
Les, I've seen them twice. The first came into camp and scared the daylights out of my kids father's day weekend 2014 in North Fork Park north of Pineview Lake in Utah. I stood between it and my children with my pistol about 15 feet away. I could see the intelligence in its eyes. I see the muscle definition in its shoulders, arms and legs. It seemed curious not at all malicious. I did not feel that we were in danger but we left that night anyway. The next morning I came back to pack up our camp. There was a nasty pond down below that I heard at least two adult females and a bunch of kids. It sounded like kids at a pool. They were speaking a language I have never heard and I've traveled all over the world. I could hear consonants, vowels and sentence structure. After I finished packing up I went down to see who it was. As I neared the bottom the noise stopped and it sounded like a bunch of people splashing their way up on sore in a hurry. I didn't see the kids or females. But 50 yards away standing in 6 feet of water and looking me at 6 foot tall, dead in the eyes. He was jet black and massive but did not seem angry or upset. We stared at each other for a few seconds then he turned and jumped out of the water and landed two feet up on the bank. Then he looked at me like he was waiting for me. So my dumb butt tried to chase him, un armed this time. I was trying to get a picture but the camera on my phone would not focus. He ran up the side of this mountain like an Olympic sprinter. There was no way I was going to keep up. When I stopped running he stopped too and looked at me for a few seconds. I contacted the BFRO in Utah to report the incident and they came out to examine the area. One of the guys even measured the depth of the water. That's when I found out the pond was 6 feet deep in that area. They told me this animal was at least 12 feet tall and probably weighed 12-1600lbs. I was a serious sceptic before that. Now I know they are flesh and blood animals. I have been in the woods hunting and hiking and camping since I was just a small kid and I am in my mid 50's now. I have seen and tracked every animal native to Utah over the years. I know what I saw. I don't expect anyone to believe me. I certainly wouldn't had it not happened to me.
Hmmm why wld u chase it down??
i don't believe any of this happened.
@jamescarr4662 your disbelief is understandable. If I were in your place I probably wouldn't either.
Thank you for posting these episodes on your channel can't stop watching them
It's like modern ghost hunting with all the equipment, what a beautiful place you live in Sir, at one with nature ❤️, watching from UK 🇬🇧
I imagine the 2 minutes that play before a live stream is about to start is the same song they'll play at the end of the world.
Theres Sasquatch in the woods but then there's other more terrifying creatures that remain hidden. Thats what scares the shit out of me.
Crazy people
Like Dogman
@@eldest808 they came bounding over
You should check out the Sulphur River Bottoms southwest of Texarkana, TX, outside the town of Maud. Myself and several others I know have seen it there. Also plenty of tracks. I also saw it near my house north of Hughes Springs, TX, about 40 miles south of the Sulpher River Bottoms.
I know he didn't really, but the way Les described the nighttime strategy with him in his tent and his team acting as campers made it seem like he was using his team as bait 😅
All those expeditions cameras and all manner of instruments only to come up with absolutely nothing but a couple of indistinct footprints and sometimes a "creepy feeling".. Disappointing but entertaining all the same with some great scenery and calm, rational intelligent commentary. Thanks for posting!
I’ve been in the woods all my life and 99.9% of sounds I have heard are explainable but every now and then I hear something that I just can explain. Makes me wonder sometimes? It’s a large world much of it not inhabited by humans who knows what might be out there!
The fact that nobody can get a clear HD shot of this creature, we can't find bones, corpses, better evidence than anecdotes, is enough to keep the door pretty closed on this. Tell me when they find a corpse or a living specimen would be best, otherwise I remain unconvinced.

@@StrongerThanBigfoot and why?
@@K_eel412 Because in my opinion it’s the best evidence ever presented on proving Bigfoot is real. There’s a few things I question but the pictures and videos are definitely real. I’ve done my best to analyze every clip in that documentary and I can’t say they’re fake at all. Watch it and you’ll see
Oh yes, Les Stroud, THEY EXIST. I have had a persona 'Class A'l encounter.... came within about 7ft of my big hairy beast. Thank you for everything you do!!
Will you please do a follow up to this episode. Feels like approaching bigfoot in a more natural manner is the way forward. They appear to be so much more intuitive than us. Look forward to seeing more bigfoot episodes from you.
Can't wait god bless Les you are the man love ya merry Christmas and happy new year from Huntington WV
Thank you for the quality content Les.
Les behind you when you found mule dear those trees where stacked pretty strange.
I’m sure Les has considered this so I’m just wondering why he hasn’t mentioned the possibility that all of the “ungodly screams” people keep reporting to hear are really just Mountain Lion screams… anyone that has ever heard one, especially while alone in the woods at night would definitely be spooks and say it sounds ungodly
I agree the screaming is most likely Cougars or Bobcats.
Prediction...no clear answers by the end of this series . But I'm still going to watch !
But the freaking apple vanished.
If he found Bigfoot he could not tell us about it. If it got out that they existed then they would be hunted to extinction. We humans are too stupid to not F it up. Sure maybe me and you might not but someone would have no problem.
I was watching a documentary from 1972 and they didnt find Bigfoot but they said " With technology advances the chances of finally catching one is inevitable , Any day now the questions will be answered " Fast forward to 2020. We still havent gotten one. All the famous researchers have come and gone. It's sad but.......anyday now😀LOL !!!
@@CANControlGRAFFITI Todd Standing shot it down with a pellet air rifle. Or he ate it.
@J Han Thats right. We have video, audio, photos, cave paintings, eyewitnesses. etc..The proof is overwhelming. But still no body or bodyparts. The big question is why not.
So excited can't wait for this episode
Kelly S is a good man, nice to see him on this episode
Indeed I have watch his channel often. Rmso
From my limited experience camping in wilderness areas, I can say animals are not afraid to investigate your camp. The soft pad landing of a mountain lion close, a bear drifting by or just a pack of coyotes or a wolf scouting around. You get used to the sounds and when something unusual happens that can’t be explained, you want to learn more. Just the fact that Les is spending time and resources on BF tells me he has had those unusual experiences.
