I feel like if Clay’s mother didn’t sell him, he would still live an abusive life and only have happiness with his siblings. I imagine he would be forced into the Mudwing army and eventually die? Same with Starflight being kept by the Nightwings.
He would probably end up like the other nightwings, and die with the volcano/OR make it to the rainforest, if that even happens.
And wasn't it stated that mudwing parents are just *like* that? Idk maybe im wrong. I really want to see a mudwing parents that cares.
@@am_Nein I know right? The same thing with Rainwings, they just abandon their eggs before they hatch. This is what OCs are for. Though Since I'm pretty sure there's a Mudwing side character in book fifteen maybe we'll have some backstory on him. Tough that's probably setting the bar too high.
I feel like Starflight would have died within his first year or two if he was kept on the NightWing island.
@@rowanheart8122 I feel like that's unfair to Starflight, especially with how hard the Nightwings try to keep their kids alive.
I think a really interesting one would be "What if Sky was the firescales and Peril wasn't?" Or "What if Queen Coral found out that Turtle was an animus?"
Who's Sky? I can't remember. . .
And to the second Turtle probably would have had more attention and might have even gotten love from his mother sooner.

Sky is Peril’s brother. He’s actually a character in DragonSlayer! He doesn’t have any fire and was believed to have died ( sorry about the spoilers if you didn’t already know ). Also, DragonSlayer is in the perspective of scavengers and only a few chapters ( that include Sky and Wren ) are really the only interesting ones in my opinion.

SPOILERS FOR DRAGONSLAYER/SNOWFALLS BOOK (mainly snowfalls book) AND PERILS BOOK That would be yikes! if you have read dragonslayer.. maybe wren would end up with peril instead of sky ? but that wouldnt be possible if peril was taken by queen scarlet. wren would probably have died because sky would touch her when they met ! yikes !

what about: What if Whiteout hatched on the same night as Darkstalker?
Ooo and: What if Starflight had mind reading/future telling powers?
Blue would have still gone through everything he did, except when he finally found out he wasn't he wouldn't have been able to do anything that required flamesilk in the original timeline.
Cricket would have likely been almost like any other hivewing. She might have still had her quircks but she and blue would have never met.
And I don't remember exactly what happened around that last question but my guess is they wouldn't have been mentioned.
I would love to see more videos like this, especially glory if she grew up in the rainforest. And maybe you can do more than just one for a character, like starflight on the NightWing island or starflight with powers and stuff on the brightest night. You are an amazing content creator and I think it would be amazing to see more videos like this!!!!❤️

What if thorn had the same fate as blister?
What if Queen scarlet never met chameleon?
What if whiteout hatched before dark stalker? (Aka what if she had powers and he didn’t)
What if albatross killed fathom instead of the other way around?
What if cricket and blue never met?
What if sunny was a real sandwing?
What if blister won?
What if blaze won?
What if burn won?
What if snowfall never put on opal’s ring? Or never went into that animus cave to begin with?
What if thorn never “adopted” Qibli?
What if sundew never met blue and cricket?
What if cricket was able to be mind controlled?

I think that glory, even raised in her natural territory, would still start to see the error in her tribes way. She probably would still challenge the queen's to a battle and still become queen, even if her motives are a bit different from the original storyline.
There's actually a series by charcoal the Nightwing which is about just this: what if the skywing egg survived and glory grew up in the rainforest? I recommend you check it out, it's quite fun!
I imagine for an au like that, Morrowseer is a little behind schedule and Starflight starts hatching on the way to his new home.
I love that you’re diving into the AU side of WoF!!! Not only does it make for some interesting storylines and MAPs, it also allows us flesh out the characters and the world.
If you ever need any extra questions to ask:
- What if the Skywing egg survived?
- What if Sky was mistakenly taken as the firescales of the pair, and Scarlet was too embarrassed to admit it and/or wanted to see if he could last in the arena under that lie?
- What if Sora had succeeded in killing Icicle?
- What if Deathbringer killed Princess Blaze?
- What if the Rainwings used their assets and advantages to become the dominant tribe?
- What if flamesilk was a normal ability for Silkwings?
those are all really cool ideas!

2. I didn't read Dragonslayer so I have no idea.
3. Um, I get the feeling she would have been arrested and her actions would have hurt not only her and her brothers and sisters, but the school's reputation.
4. Um, one less princess would have competed for the throne and those who had allied with her, would have probably just gone to another princess. Bruh, literally easy. Now if Burn died, oh, jesus, would that have been bad. Burn might not have been as big of a problem but Blister sure as hell was.
5. Brusky, no one would have messed with the rain wings or thought they were weak.
6. Um, maybe they would have just been monitored more closely and any resistance might have just been killed? Like don't wanna think that would be the case, but flamesilk is a pretty powerful thing. So that boyfriend of the sister of Blue would have died before we could meet him.

Lil' detail about Sunny I think you missed: due to her Nightwing heritage, her sail/frill (FINE I'LL EDIT IT GUYS.) actually transitions into that of a Nightwing as it gets closer to the end of her tail. You can see this on the cover of book five: The Brightest Night. Anyways, I really enjoy your art! Your style for drawing the dragons is quite unique.

Honestly the biggest question I had for years regarding alternate timelines is undeniably "What if Whiteout was born the same night as Darkstalker?". Let me explain. In Darkstalker Legends we get Darkstalker's point of view right after he was born. Even just out of the egg he somehow knows he is an animus and when seeing that his sister isn’t hatching, he considers using his powers to make her come out. When he thinks of doing so we see different timelines of events where the two interact with each other. In some timelines they rule together, in others one kills the other and lots of alternate ones I can’t remember right now. This is all expressed in one, maybe two sentences but it got me thinking "What of he did do it?". Now Darkstalker explains the drawback of this : Arctic would know his son is an animus. This means Darkstalker will not have full control over his powers because his father will be there to regulate them in some way. He also wouldn’t be so exceptional, or at least, not as much.
On the other hand, Whiteout gets to see the future and read minds just as well as her brother, even if she still has her "weirdness" (forgot how it was called I’m sorry) which could lead to interesting scenarios.
Most of all if Darkstalker did make Whiteout hatch, the futur/present would probably be really different. Maybe Clearsight wouldn’t have gone to Pantala, maybe there wouldn’t be any dragonet prophecy. Who knows what would’ve happened?
I know I shouldn’t ask and just should think about it myself but I’d like to hear your thoughts on that, Cyprus. According to you what could’ve happened? I have several ideas but hearing your point of perspective on this would be even more interesting

This is an interesting story, I wish Sunny got to do more in the books before the brightest night, it just seems more like her to sneak off earlier since the other dragonets wouldn't listen to her ideas

B. Technically, as Thorn stated herself, Thorn wouldn’t have taken over the scorpion den if Sunny hadn’t been taken. This could change some factors.

I am CONVINCED this will happen: in the future, you can tell if someone had more of a Nightwing heritage or a Rainwing heritage, but they are all [insert tribe name]s. I think they would be something like Dawnwings, Daywings, Junglewings, Mistwings, Dewwings, Stormwings, Thunderwings, or Canopywings. I personally prefer Daywings.

Another Sunny AU that lives in my head rent-free: What if she inherited her father's animus powers? Also, what if the dragonets were hatched in the moonlight? Starflight would be just as powerful as Darkstalker was, but would Sunny have been too because of her nightwing half? I think about these a lot. Sunny could have been the next Darkstalker, but the exact reverse of him.
Or was born under Moons? :0 and got either or maybe even both of the powers?
I know, right? This idea's just been living in my head rent-free for a year or two.
Another good one would be if Moon didn’t have her powers, maybe also if there was a SkyWing dragonet of destiny. One that would impact the storyline heavily would be if Quibli didn’t exist. Another one is if Queen Wasp didn’t use the Hive-Mind ability as much, or just at all. Those are just suggestions, but I would be surprised to see if you actually used one of mine. :)

I really like Scorpion Den Sunny from a lore, aswell as a design standpoint. Giving her a little, green cape was a great idea

What if Quibli joined the talons of power? (Vulture's army)
What if Moonwatcher was an animus?
What if Thorn never rescued Qibli from his family? Qibli would turn cold and hard and inherit leadership of the Talons Of Power from Vulture. He’d wear a wicked black cape and have skull tattoos all over him. It would be crazy sick!
Also the fanfic was awesome! I love the idea of Sunny and Qibli growing up in the Scorpion Den as best friends/siblings. They both have a matching heart of gold!
I slightly disagree- it was said that Qibli was a sweetheart from the beginning- that’s the reason his mother gave him up, so could he really 180 that easily? I don’t know- it’s just a discussion.

This seems like a fun series starter! I love hearing alternate views of characters and this version of Sunny is really interesting to think about, especially if she’d meet the other dragonets in the timeline! Looking forward to future episodes :D

I really like the idea of Sunny growing up in the Scorpion Den. It was really fascinating and I liked how Sunny and Qibli took down Vulture and proved to Thorn that she could be dangerous.

If Turtle and Fathom switched timelines (Fathom would be a member of Jade Winglet and Coral's son while Turtle would be Lagoon's grandson and the father of Ripple, Cowrie and Clearpool)
If Rose hadn't found the Eye of Onyx
If Anemone killed Turtle on the beach (Or the other way around. Both would be cool!)
If the Fake dragonets were the true ones
If Viper killed Flame instead of him killing her
If Darkstalker was raised in the Ice Kingdom, and drove the IceWings into the island and rainforest instead of NightWings.
If Darkstalker became a benevolent ruler like in his visions
I like the story aspect of this, I enjoy how it kept Sunny's personality but really made her bolder and more dangerous then how she was in the cave. I mean, I think she actually had the same amount of ferocity as in canon, but over here she seems more likely to do something (In Brightest Night, we see her find the stronger side of her, but she stills more goofball-y than her)

The IceWings might still have animus dragons because most dragons with animus powers had to marry into the royal family, but the ones who were never discovered or never figured out about their powers would still have been able to have kids with potential animus powers. Cool or not? I would love to see a ‘what if the IceWings still had their powers’ or ‘what if Arctic never left with Foeslayer’.

this is really interesting! there's definitely a lot of cannon sunny still here in this universe- her friendly demeanor, her chafing against being overprotected and not taken seriously, and her genuinely well intentioned desire to change the world. She's just a lot less idealistic and more violent!
... that difference is probably because Thorn has means justify the ends methods just like the guardians, but in a way sunny would be more able to get behind, rather than abusing dragonets or trying to kill sunny's friend

I loved this video especially since Sunny is trying to prove herself like always but it feels like being dangerous just isn’t her as she tries to do things without fighting in the books accept when Starflight’s siblings capture her. So I think you did a great job on this video.

- what if tui went with the original plan of the dod? tui was going to do a dragon for each 7 tribes. clay was in love with glory, sky and peril were the wings of sky, and an unnamed icewing was the wings of ice
- what if kestrel chose to take sky with her instead of peril? (and somehow managed to throw a literal living flamethrower into a river hahah)
- what if the fake and real dod switched places?
- what if darkstalker was never defeated?
- what if peacemaker could somehow contact darkstalker and know about his past life?
You NEED to continue this it will make not just me but so many ppl happy+ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ART to watch!

Starlight isn't related to any Animae but Sunny's father is an Animus! She in theory could have had all three powers.

I am absolutely down for these what if realities. Wings of fire has so many interesting turning points and I KNOW WE HAVE TO GET THE GOOD GUYS TO WIN IN THE END but timeliness where say qibli becomes an animus or white out is born under the full moons with dark stalker.... these all to me have a bit more interesting of possibilities and I can't wait to have you talk about more. This was great, I actually needed something sunny relayed while I drew her and this was perfect. Thank you.
I barely started the video and I already can tell I'm going to watch all of this. This is such an interesting spin on the series!
I actually started making a book about something like this, but I haven't updated it in a long time. Sunny has always been my favourite dragonet and its nice to see other ways she could have fit in the story
This is so cool! The drawing is absolutely amazing, I can't get over how talented you are and I enjoyed listening to the story with the drawing so much! this would be such and epic series!!
I love this idea! Could you possibly do a 'what if starflight wasn't blinded'? I'd love to see him as a nerdy lil librarian reading to younger dragonets!

Okay- absolutely incredible! This is so cool, and I love the idea of Sunny getting an unexpected advantage and being an underdog! I had a what-if idea a few years ago but have never been able to follow through with it, what if Orca had won the SeaWing challenge? A bit big, but it just got me thinking and I didn't have any way to write a story or share it with anyone at the time
This was awesome you should totally you doing more episodes and if you do more A suggestion is that maybe star flight could somehow be born outside the caves and was able to get powers
That drawing and story is SOoo cool! I am so excited for this series! Also another idea [or two] is what if tsunami was never taken? Then gill probably wouldn't have died [ maybe he still would have? idk] or for a different idea, what if orca hadn't died and she had become queen?
I sometimes ask myself
"What if starflight and sunny we're actually born under the three moons" I hope you can do something about this. I love those kinds of videos

I have to say, Marvel's What If...? was my favourite, so this WoF alternate reality thing is something I'll find very enjoyable! Sunny looks absolutely amazing btw 👏
