Actually, she is a recipient of Cliff Burton Rock scholarship since 2022 & they are very supportive of her.. they invited her to their home & gifted her Guitar & official CB merch last time she performed.. they (Cliff Burton family) were also present in the audience yesterday to support her.. & last time Gary Holt(From Slayer & Exodus) & Lisa Holt came to her audition & he even fixed her guitar tone on stage & they invited her to their home.. along with Alex Skolnick & Eric Peterson from Testament & Adam Jones from Tool & today even Metallica applauded her on video on IG & shared her clip on their IG story. She has the metal community's support behind her & that's such a wonderful thing.
Yes, from what I've read, Adam Jones gifted her the guitar she played in her 1st audition, his signature is on the neck. Gary Holt gifted her the one she played at this audition. When he gave it to her she said "its too much" and he said, "no sweetie. You're everything good there is about guitar playing. I want you to have it!" If you follow Gary on socials you must've seen the video.
She don't need AGT but they definitely put her on the World stage, I know she plays Carnatic Music , and she has a teacher. Her dad plays, and what I know, Bro, lol 😂😂😂😂 Maya held her own with Forbidden , Wow , Love to see more. Sometimes, not winning is still winning. Look at Adam Labert. He didn't win the voice, but now he's part of freaking Queen! A lot of people who don't win these shows still go on to have amazing careers. The exposure will do a lot for her. She's amazing.
And they use her videos to get the views and promoting AGT. Same thing they did with Scared Riana. Her videos got lots of views..They did her wrong too.

I knew a group of musicians that auditioned for the show some years back. They exposed their whole ordeal on Facebook: How they were set up to fail. They are extremely talented and entertaining, but I guess they felt the need to use them as a whipping post. Honestly, I hate these shows. They aren't 'natural' if you know what I mean. Especially hearing the audience screaming their heads off the whole time like it's 1964 and the Beatles just walked on stage. Want to see a show closer to 'real'? Watch The Midnight Special. No one is walking around telling people to shout and scream, they are just watching and enjoying the show like normal people. Sorry for the rant! I think Maya is going to have a great career and this show was a great way of exposing her talents to the world. All my love my Dear friend! ❤️❤️
I have a few friends who used to be into heavy metal and are inbracing it again as well as myself by seeing Maya play at AGT! It's so nice to see the Metal family embrace her and she really seems to appreciate every moment of it. Great to see the exposure of Metal again!
I just happened to hear the AGT clip on RUclips, the previous round. Did some searching and came across quite a few in youtube of hers. By the way she is being trained in south indian carnatic music for the past few years. Her teacher is an excellent guitar player, name is Prasanna, India. I brown away to hear her carnatic renditions in guitar. I am not all surprised, if she can play the carnatic ( south indian traditional classical ) music she can easily play any style of music. Most of all she is only a child 10 years old, God bless she enjoy whatever she plans and have a healthy happy peaceful life...
Why not listen and react to her audition, it has her signature style too. She has strong roots in Carnatic music, an Indian classical music tradition, that makes her to hop btw and add that signature style wherever she feels it adds some flavor. Namaste and greetings from India. Thankyou.

Anyone who denies God's gifted talent must be from another world. Why would all the heavy metal family & legends support her if they don't see anything inside her.
I'm glad she has support but the most important support is from her parents. That's truly the best when talent is supported by parents in order to nurture that talent and allow it to grow. How many super-talented people are there in the world who were stifled and oppressed by their own parents? Too many to comprehend, I'm afraid.
She's trained in Indian Classical Music. So, trained in Classical Music one can master any other form of music be it western or eastern.... The fundamentals are strong enough to advance in any stream of music.....

Well, if you love guitars, you might want to give a listen to "Tina S-Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (third movement)." She did that when she was 15. She also did a killer cover of Dragonforce's "Through the Fire and Flames " and many others.
The voting for the auditions is done by the judges. For the Quarterfinals onwards it is purely fan base not the judges, so Maya was eliminated in fan voting. I strongly felt she and the young black boy would make the top three but both of them got eliminated. Thanks for you analysis of the performance, many channels just post the video for getting hits and don't give any critical analysis of the performance!
