@@acookie7548he’s hitting his 6th string but is turning the tuning knob for the 5th. If he keeps turning the wrong tuner then the string will snap. Very common for people especially beginners.
@@jeremywebb5803 oooh… I play instruments with either four or 21 strings so I guess the guitar is the sweet spot where there are enough strings that you can get confused but not enough that you’re extremely careful which string you’re tuning 😂
The knobs control the electrical output to the amp for specific currents. The volume knob controls the overall current going to the amp, and the other two-four control currents which are tied to the different parts of the bridge for different tonal controls. Usually, these knobs are not labled for which tones they effect, and you have to listen for the small shifts in frequencies as you turn them. In short, just think of it as an EQ on your guitar without any lables. I could be wrong on some of the info so feel free to correct me 😁

Luckily the guy that sold me my guitar was really nice. After i told him i knew nothing about guitars we went through all the basics, we talked about what kind of guitar would be best for me, he spent about an hour showing me what everything does and giving me recommendations on guitar lessons and on channels that will help me. Heck, this man even tuned it for me and told me that if theres any maintance needed he'll do it for me. Im really thankful for him because he definitely made it easier for me to get started with a bit of confidence and (kind of) know what was going on

1. try pressing down the string more towards the right side of the fret (more towards the next higher fret). 2. Find the sweet spot when it comes to pressing down the string. Not too hard that it's sharp or hurtts your finger, not too soft where it buzzes. 3. Your guitar's action is probably too low and you'd need to adjust your truss rod, but i would be VERY careful adjusting that yourself if you've never touched it. On the safe side, take it to someone who knows for a proper set up.

@@fallenboy4454 I would start with learning a few simple songs from the 60s. I hate the Beatles but their songs are good for learning,and after some time I actually began to like them. Then I would learn the pentatonic scale. Hands down the best scale to learn, especially for rock/blues. There’s gonna be days where you absolutely feel like you can’t do it. You WILL wanna give up. And that’s okay. Breaks are very important. That leads me to my next point. Practice isn’t that important. The practicing comes with learning the songs and scales. You’ll be good by like month 11. I’m saying by year three, you’ll be able to just go to a gig listen and find the key and start improvising. Good luck on your journey and never stop playing

When I played guitar around the age of 12 I cut my palm on the smallest string, and I just stopped because I couldn’t stand the pain of it, 5 years later I started doing bass, best switch up ever, it’s so much more comfortable, does it hurt, yes at times but I have much more fun with it
