I love that you started off playing guitar through online lessons but made a successful RUclips channel off of what you learned from those lessons. It’s pretty cool!
There were about 50 iterations of classical guitar between the 1600s to the 1800s. They'd tie gut around the fingerboard to make the frets, more as markers than something rigid that would hold the note. Violinists and Bass players would do the same and there are examples of these in the Victoria and Albert museum in London if you ever get the chance.
Hello David Pazmino, you came to my class for career day today and I was the kid who asked for a shout-out. I really liked how you talked about ur struggles and how it took you 13 years to go viral and I hope ur channel keeps growing 😃😃😃😃😃!
Just a few corrections because I like to get nerdy:🤣 -The first instrument is a theorbo and it was invented around 1580 in Italy. So it's closer to 444 years, not 1000 years like you said. -The theorbo, oud, and lute are not "guitars." They have a separate lineage.

The Rudra veena -also called Bīn in North India-is a large plucked string instrument used in Hindustani Music, especially dhrupad. It is one of the major types of veena played in Indian classical music, notable for its deep bass resonance. The rudra veena is seen in temple architecture predating the Mughals Source - internet
Predating the Mughals? It's way older than five thousand years in our culture. It's not used in Hindustani classical it is used more often in south. I have been student of Hindustani classical voice culture for past three years. We use harmonium or sometimes sitar very often
@@aethernity8270 Thanks, but there is a difference between Veena and Rudra Veena, which I was talking about . Here it is - The two are structurally very different. The Saraswathi Veena is made of Jackfruit Wood and has one wooden primary resonator. It has a wax fretboard and has 4 melodic strings + 3 drone strings. The rudra Veena has two primary resonators made of pumpkin gourd. The sound of the sitar is distinct and has an extra touch of melody because there are additional strings below the frets that resonate along with the main strings. Source given above. In modern times the veena has been generally replaced with the sitar in North Indian performances.

every modern guitarist ever: “hold my beer!”
You're also not supposed to play bass with a pick, but Mike Mills from R.E.M. chose to ignore that.
@@marvinthemaniac7698I ignore it too. I play metal, so the only way to cut through is to play with a pick.
@HaynesEllis Mike could have invented that technique for all we know.

As an oud player what ever Info he said about tuning was wrong, there are several tunings, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Iraqi, Azeri, etc
