Ski Ballet was a demonstration sport in the 1988 and 1992 Winter Games. Enjoy Fabrice Becker's winning performance from the Olympics at Albertville in 1992.

This is awesome, it'd be cool if they still did it
Imagine seeing this while going down the slopes 😂
This should be an actual sport . Its weird but cool at the same time
How wonderful! I couldn't imagine that such a thing ever exists 😀
It's like figure skating but on snow, and it's so awesome yet so weird, my feelings are mixed 😲
Can this come back?
Hope not.
If it did, everyone would yell about it not being a sport the same way they do with figure skating.
How completely bonkers and yet so artistic at the same time! I don't suppose there is any chance the IOC would consider bringing this back if France hosted a future winter Games?
Ski Ballet hasn't been a competitve sport since around 2000. The sport declined in popularity and is not played today. So it won't be appearing at Paris 2024
This looks so cool !!!
Can this please come back🙏
Stunning performance
It was a demonstration sport back in 1988 in Calgary
Representation of how I feel taking the bunny hill even though I’m not a beginner skiier.
So what happened? Why isn't a thing anymore?
GraceDcastle because it’s horrible
Smimi 2 it is fun to watch, opposed to tons of other skiing categories
Smimi 2 I don’t think we watched the same video...
It was never a thing to begin with. This was a demonstration sport, not an official Olympic sport. And the Winter Olympics haven’t had any demonstration sports for the last 20 years. Ski ballet probably wasn’t felt to be enough of a sport, i suspect
People have no idea how difficult that is
This never made it as an Olympic sport, but it should have.
Wondering if the terrain never being exactly the same like I’ve made a difference in how well each individual preformed, some would hit good sections while others would hit lots of loose section or packed sections anyone have some answers?
Que genial es lo mejor q e visto 😵😵😵😵😵
i wish this was still a thing
Can we please bring this back??
Indonesia tetap jaya bung
WOW. It's not done in these days anymore, right?
Was only ever a demonstration sport in 1992 (so not an official Olympic sport). Then it never appeared again
Is this Neil Perry from Dead Poets Society? His face looks incredibly familiar
Coool !!
How about Guns n Roses-Breakdown playing during scoring though...what a time.
Figure skating on snow...
Uh,at my country is 21:03,but i want indonesia in the winter games
What a Figure Ski!
Music?
*The more you know*
В этом есть особый шарм!
Was he the only ballet skier there was?

Même discipline que le ski de bosse aux jeux olympiques de 1992
As if this wasn't odd enough, they named it ballet ski lol cringe. If figure skate and not 'ballet skate', why not figure ski. Still, don't dance with this, it's off and what 'ballet' with super flats under your feet. However here we could figure out skiing this manner better alternated to stunt oriented sports like skateboarding, after all aren't they both similar in gliding on flat instrument(s), spin around slopes and curves, making cool moves? Could name 'Skiboarding' for instance, but differ from Snowboarding that is on race track, 'Skiboarding' here is in this rounded ski park as shown in video, and competes on acrobatic moves and spins but just please don't dance. This way it could've stood better chance as a sport.
First☝
Pritish Beejadhur nobody cares if your first
This should be titled "Winter Olympic Cringe Compilation".
