I feel similarly to you with regard to the Gillio gold planners. I had a bit of FOMO seeing the beautiful photos of the gold Gillios - but when I received my first one - I was lukewarm about it. It is definitely beautiful. But similar to the Gillio undyed, I’m not really a fan of the somewhat grayish darkening. Of course I knew it would darken, but sometimes it just looked a little more splotchy than I liked. I still own mine and plan to use in the Fall as it really does have a lovely rustic vibe. But I found that I personally prefer the uniformity of the darker epocas (love the dark brown) as well as the black and blush crocos . I guess experimenting is part of the fun (though sometimes it is kind of an expensive experiment 😅). Anyway, good luck with your decision and hope to see your VDS when you get it!

Someone who understands! Yes to all of this. I think I’m more of a fan of the darker Epoca and blush croc too, though the leather smell on this gold is unrivaled.

Thanks for the details about Gillio, I was not aware. May I ask what you paid for it or is that appropriate? What's a good deal for a Gillio? And, no I don't think I would keep it with the stitching flaw but that's just me.

You’re very welcome! The price depends on the size and model, but for a personal wide compagna, you’re looking at upwards of $400 after taxes and shipping. 😵
