Wow! Don’t know how common it is to get multiple musky on one trip but I am sure it’s pretty damn rare! Great experience and video!!

Myers’s cove boat ramp! I’ve been thinking about heading up there for years and this video just made me commit to it. Epic day is right!

Not only would a bigger net help but also its dangerous for the musky to be risking breaking off like that with a crank bait, spinner, or really anything because it could prevent it from eating if it gets lodged and the musky breaks off with it. We fish the collins a lot as well as rock island and this time of year I'm always throwing my heavy rods with heavier line just in case. Also wire liters and some long pliers. Those long pliers are great to get down in there past the teeth and they even make jaw spreaders to help keep the mouth open. Id prob also take some of that second skin glue stuff for yourself just in case you get nipped. Chad Hoover with kayak bass fishing has a great musky video with all the necessary equipment listed on that very river you may check out. Great exciting video though!

Back in the 80's when I was in high school we would float that river at night on a full moon using top water, buzz baits, jitter bugs etc. Talk about exciting, we would catch lots of Black Pearch and Smallmouth but some reason never any Muskie. Its spooky so take a brave friend.Great videos I spent many a days on that river when I was younger.

Is it possible to catch musky casting from the bank on the Collins River.I don't own a kayak and am not in too good physical shape to be in a kayak.I know the bank is quite rugged and not much shore access?

NICE!! That's the ramp I put in...but I go upstream...I fish for smallies and the musky just keep taking my lures so I stopped fishing there until I get a musky worthy setup....I even downsized to a bitsy minnow and they took that!! Keep it up ...that was awesome...I cheered when you got the first one in the net...ill tempered fish.

That was a killer trip! I have only seen one muskie follow in a bait of mine and it was when I was about 10 years old and I had never heard of one but it scares me to death. Now I am 45 and have never seen another one. The one I saw was on Watts Bar Lake. You had an epic day! Congrats on all those fish. Have you all stepped up to any larger fishing lines or rods after this trip? You got a new subscriber here now too!

Be aware of rivers sharks ! Can take off your hands ! your net is definitively too small .
