Cutscene before the battle against the boss, Egg Dealer.
Shadow and E-123 Omega meets Dr. Eggman, who wonders if they really thought they could challenge him. E-123 Omega tells Dr. Eggman that he will be defeated, and Shadow tells Dr. Eggman that he will regret for have created him. Dr. Eggman becomes enraged and tells them that they're nothing more than scrap of metals and are going straight to the junkyard. Dr. Eggman then prepares to engage in combat against Shadow and E-123 Omega.

@@SymbioteSpider-Man4708 Exactly because Eggman had a deal with Shadow and then he just switched sides with him right after this happened. Eggman just wanted to use Shadow for his attention that's why he fights him.

Idea for Egg Dealer MKII: The Egg Gambler. Same basic concept, but with some additions that make it MUCH harder.
1. The good outcomes (Ring Fever and Shadow Fever) are gone, replaced with Laser Fever, Punch Fever (with its new rocket arms), and Speed Fever (tries to run you over).
2. Eggman has removed the automated system from the Dealer, meaning his attacks can no longer backfire on him.
3. Hitting the buttons does no damage. The only way to win is to get a Junk (no match) to get weapons.
Thats a cool idea

For some reason, the Homing Attack won't work correctly for me on this boss. I'm literally the only person I know who has this problem with this specific boss. I can't figure out what the problem is, and it's driving me insane...
I can't get it to work either, yet this video makes it look so easy...
Nevermind, just figured it out.
In case you're still having problems: when you're near an enemy, press and hold the jump button until you see Shadow somersaulting in place while in the air, then quickly press and hold the jump button again to home-in on the nearby target.
It still takes some getting used to, but once I figured out that trick, I quickly got it to work for me more times than not.

I thought of a way to fix this boss and it's basically by having the player pick their own poison.
The Egg Dealer has IMMENSE defensive capabilities, doing some small attacks as it keeps it's distance from you, and cannot simply be attacked, in order to attack, you have to match three slots, once you do, Eggman will launch the attack, BUT. Not only can none of the attacks be used against Eggman, but there's also no Shadow Fever or Ring Bonus for you, if you land Shadow Fever, Shadow Androids will be summoned, if you land Ring Bonus, the Egg Dealer will actually regain some health.
But here's the advantage you DO get, as long as Eggman is using a slot machine attack, he will be vulnerable to damage.
You can pick an attack you can handle better if you time it right. And attack accordingly.
Just thought it's a cool idea, and it's frankly in character for Eggman to have his victims decide their own destruction.
So matching the slots with redirect the power from "shields" to offenses? Great idea!

Shadow fever fills up the dark gague
The implication is that Shadow fever was made to send chaos energy (probably from chaos drives) to his Shadow Android's. Only in this case, it empowers the real Shadow instead.
This boss sucked when I fought him alone and as the first end boss I fought, I was relieved when the missle fever shot back at him.
I hate this fight. I still haven't beat it.

how do i stay spinning in the air ? shadow just jumps glides and falls doesnt spin
I saw another comment that explained how to do it.
First press and hold the jump button. You should then see Shadow do a somersault. As soon as he does that press and hold the same button again and you should be able to glide towards whatever you need to hit. Hopefully this works. I haven't tried it yet.

I feel like this should be the neutral dark ending. lol.
This kind of fits a Hero themed mission, because Eggman had used both Omega and Shadow Android as lifeless pawns, so they made him pay for it.
Senhor Desconhecido But they are basically becoming Eggman. In the neutral-Dark ending they make Eggman pay but Shadow uses this as a chance to better himself without trying to conquer the world.
Fells ironic how the dark ending is more heroic. lol

Strange I never got the slot noises ( Unless I did Cosmic Fall) then Agian I beat this like 3 years after getting it and Was harsh on disc at the Time

@rellthelord I think not. Shadow isn't in alot of main series games. I wanted Shadow 2 because it has different gameplay than most of the other Sonic games.

All the combinations, if an outside force presses the buttons, are bad for Eggman. 1. Why would he program it like that? 2. Why put your only weakness on big yellow buttons for people to use to destroy you?

This was my first ending I got when I played this game (so far my only one for that matter actually) and boy....I LOVED IT!!

Actually I think the blame goes to Harrison Ford himself, and one of the prominant writers who also worked the original trilogy, bothe of which wanted him to die in episode 6.
