I'm still confused - what bit would you use to remove two layers of soft gel with a top coat? I always use two thin layers of clear dip powder to strengthen my weak nails (I have hypothyroidism) then base coat, two layers of gel and top coat. I desperately want to stop doing so many soak offs and be able to remove the gel layers but leave the acrylic dip powder layer to avoid a soak off every two weeks. I have got an E drill but there are so many different opinions on youtube my head is spinning.
Great video. That flame bit is for experienced ppl, it's not the easiest to use especially when you don't know what your doing a.k.a "me". I'm still learning how to use an efile. Thanks for the wonder information. When it comes to buying a bit because others were using it. Using a bit wrong, and causing more harm then good. I'm guilty. Just like you said, I find using I file on my the sides of my fingers easier to do because I have more control. I discovered filing dead skin by mistake and was surprised when it worked beautifully. I do own some bits with flutes, my question to you is how do you clean them? Do I use a scrub brush and scrub them clean, rinse them, then disinfect?
Quick summary👇🏼✨ 1. Cuticule bit> if you have stubborn cuticule half way speed ( 15,000 ) 2. Removel>> carbide, ceramics >> high speed ( 15,000 to 30,000 per min) 3. Shaping -finish filing > sanding band after this high puffer on acrylic or hard gel. “Instead of hand filing” Thank you for your informations!!
@@PaolaPonceNails this is what i had to do. The proximal nail fold was so hard and oiling them wasnt working. I cut them once and I apply oil twice a day. I also apply lotion or cream everytime i wash my hands. The difference is like night abs day and the keratanized material has not returned.

It’s safe to do cuticle prep at 15rpm?? 🤔😯
I think I have exactly what you described...Keratinized cuticles. How can I fix this?
Baby them! Nip them at the root, just once. And oil them.
