    Back when Nissan still built a great Altima

    Its an awesome car. Push the car hard and after a few month you will start burning rubber on your front tires. Thats the kind of power this tiny little car has.

    I bought my 2001 which looks exactly like this one in 2007 with 80,000 on it and now has 249,000. I have only replaced the front struts, tires and brake pads. Cheapest damn car I've ever owned. Still has original spark plugs, plug wires, alternator, a/c compressor (Florida), etc...... You can't go wrong with these other than they are boring to drive and look at but for going back and forth to work and pulling a trailer half the time, they can't be beat for the money. Mine is an automatic trans. (which is also original)

      +Mike Scott I have mine for 880 and sold my other altima which was all rusty for 800 (so felt like I bought it for 80 bucks!). The other one was still working great, so the guy didn't mind. But my 2001 altima not only looks better, it has over 303.000km and still running great! Changed the spark plugs today because it was getting slower and now goes better once again.

    Anyone who knows the Nissan Altima 2000 2001 they will sell them selves. They are amazing cars. The 2002 and up are all junk.

      Don't get me wrong, I like these older and smaller Altimas too but the 2002-06 was no doubt the best Altima, a much safer and even more comfy car. The 2005 SE-R was super fun to drive.

    I didn't have a say when my parents purchased it back in 2003 as a second car for my mom. They bought it with a low low 12K miles (silver w/ GLE trim). We still have the car today with 80K miles with no problems. I (now 22 years old) drive the car a lot now and it still runs great! We have never had any problems with our Altima and still looks good. My only complaint is that it has bad lighting when it comes to the high beams. But its time for a new car, gotta keep up with the neighbors! Lol.

      Have you tried upgrading the headlights? I switched to Osram's Cool Blue bulbs (installed on my 2000 B14 Nissan) and they are... well, cool! It's great to hear you are still enjoying the car after so many years. Cheers...

    This car is bullet-proof, except that rarely the timing chain will break and kill it. It will run and run otherwise with no repair costs except for wear and tear items. It doesn't have modern rust-resistance, so check it for rust before buying.

    I got this same exact car, color and all, less than a year ago with around about 82k miles on it I believe. It now has almost 130k, I hit a deer a few months after getting it, wasn’t major, just a dented hood so I never got it fixed. It still runs like a champ. Only now about to get the hood replaced simply because it’s time for an oil change and maybe some coolant, I’ve let it go a bit longer than I should if I’m being honest. However, still running like it was when I got it. Only thing I’d say it really needs is a paint job. Maybe some new speakers as well 😂

    • @jackstone8074
      @jackstone8074 9 месяцев назад

      Yep me too! Only difference is the wheels everything else is identical. Mine had 134k on it and although it does have some slight mechanical issues, it is in almost showroom condition appearance wise and the most fun I've ever had driving. Even at 60 mph it feels like piloting a fighter jet doesn't it? And yeah definitely need speakers lol the subwoofers look like they came from a 90's portable sony boom box 😂 but it's one of my only complaints

    I have the same car with 146k miles and the only downside I have is the noise it makes when you turn it on (its because of the ac compressor, I think needs to be replaced) but other than that it drives very smooth, especially during turns
