Made me think of my mother. A grown man is always his mother's baby no matter what. You can see him become her baby while holding her. It's sad to know that ALS will take her life, but she definitely has a great outlook on life.

I don't have parents anymore (cancer killed them), I'm 42 next month, it's been a long time since I cried over something. So much strength and love combined with pain and such power in words and actions. My admiration and thanks for this post.

A few years ago our vibrant neighbor was diagnosed with ALS. We watched as he deteriorated, but for us the hardest part was watching his wife of 40 years desperately trying to get help and to learn how to help and support him. She is now a support person for others with ALS. Kathy is not only still beautiful, but her intelligence shines through this. It hits the young. Her sons are remarkable and I want to thank them for posting this video. Kathy, I love your dress. You look great in it. I hope they can find a way to make this disease chronic instead of terminal.

She has dignity and grace My mom died from ALS in August of 2001. And seeing her made all those memories come flooding back. I feel for her and her family.

@@praxym9293 ALS is Amyotrophic Lateral scelrosis. It’s a nervous system disease that affects the nerves and muscles by weakening them. My mom had difficulty walking, eating then talking had a feeding tube then wheelchair and communicated by pen and paper until she couldn’t write anymore.

@@rdh8452 thank you. She will be gone 21 years on August 2. I miss her dearly but grateful she is no longer suffering.

This woman is so strong, courageous and beautiful. Her family is her strength and is why she can handle this process. When you are surrounded by a loving family, the hurdles are worth fighting to overcome. Your message gave myself and others, ALS is a terrible disease and to be made aware of the early signs. I wish you comfortable days and your family the strength to carry on your love in their hearts.

I cried so much watching this because I have 2 brothers and my Mother has always been the one that held everything together and just as time passes by and you get older you start to see that this strong woman is getting old. But to watch this video and to see this woman who is dealing with ALS and see her 3 songs hold her up and dance was the most precious thing I will ever see. I’m grateful to have come across this video.

This is such a beautiful and hearthtouching video I have ever seen in my life. In a few minutes you can see a beautiful and strong woman with her very well raised sons who care for their mom. How they sweetly say “Love You” to eachother. I couldnt stop my tears 😢😢😢.

So beautiful. I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer and there's no cure for that type of cancer and the mortality rate is not long due to it's not diagnosed until it's advanced and you usually are having some other medical issue. In my mother's case she went in for gallbladder surgery and that's when they found the tumor. She wasn't a candidate for surgery to remove it due to where the tumor was at and her age. Plus it's not guaranteed to be successful.
Luckily with chemo it extended her life and she lived for 3 1/2 years till she succumbed to the disease on Dec 18, 2021. She fought a good fight.
She lived with me and I was her caregiver the entire time until one week before she passed then hospice took over. It was by far the most difficult thing I've done in my entire life but I'd do it all over again.
She like this woman is so brave and would do anything for their children.
My frustration is there are cures for some diseases but why not this type of cancer and ALS.
I know there's research being done but I told my mother's oncologist they need to step it up.
Some cancers & other diseases are curable why not these two.
This woman is incredible and it was so touching to see her with her three sons. What a wonderful memory.
Hopefully she'll be around a long time to create more.

Kathy, I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this, but thank you for sharing your story. My sister-in-law died of ALS just 7 months after diagnosis, very unusual. You looked beautiful at your son’s wedding, and I’m so happy for you that you had this moment. Praying there will be a cure soon!
