Collecting $73 Million in Import Car Taxes & Duties - Mission Ready - San Diego Field Ops | CBP

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) in San Diego, processes and inspects thousands of vehicles being imported to the United States. In 2022 the San Diego field office alone, collected $73 million in duties on imported vehicles.
Along with car inspections, OFO's agriculture specialist are also tasked with inspecting the cargo ships to make sure no foreign pest are on board and get into the country.
