A lot of my half-starts are all about trying to figure out brass accessories. Quite the mess sometimes. But I have some lengthy builds that I paused for time/money/materials that have been lying around for years. Materials is the heartbreaker for me-- if I think I have plenty of casting resin, for example, I will mix up a batch, pour it up and something's just not right. Ewww. Bubbles or a giant blob tries to walk out of the mold (Onyx has a very short shelf life... ) just discouraging. But I am still moving on. And I enjoy what you do even if you don't finish!
Yep, Shelf Queens are regrettable. I just finished one that lingered for a year. I completed a Shep Paine tribute diorama. Good luck finding something to spark your MOJO. Bill
I think that's a prerequisite of model building that you have to have several shelf queens! That dragon should be an easy fix. Just drill holes and pin it and use epoxy sculpt.

Yep, I have 2 shelves of doom, but I pick at some of them until they're done, or I recycle them for kit bashing

I have tried to fix the dragon twice and I broke it two more times.
