The 2022 CCS Invitational at the Lil Carwash presented by Converse CONS

- On August 21st, 2022, some of the most celebrated skateboarders of the past, present, and future converged at CCS headquarters in Portland, Oregon to chop it up and throw it down on a loading-dock-sized recreation of the legendary Sunset Carwash spot and then a slightly used LeBaron convertible.
The tricks poured in fast like soapy water on the premium setting as the masters of ceremonies Frank Gerwer and Elissa Steamer handed out pine-scented air fresheners of cash for their favorite stunts. And it all ended like the Carwash began… with John Cardiel getting us all hyped up.
Huge thanks to Converse CONS for making it happen and “cheers” to Montucky Cold Snacks for bringing the brew. It was a wild event to witness.

I have requested a catalog for the last decade and have not received one. I will not make another purchase from CCS until I do, out of pure spite. Those catalogs are my favorite thing to look through while I shit and I usually end up buying something after the dump.

With the amount of comps iv seen lately I feel like the yanks are trying to outdo us Canadians cause they know dime comps gonna be huge like always..

Louie had an overall more versatile year. He won Tampa pro in addition to his end of the year part. So all-around that was Louie’s year

@@WendyOryen I personally don't consider contests very much when it comes to SOTY. I love Louie and he had a great year in 2017 but so did Jamie, his deathwish part was insane, so was Flat Earth, he did a lot more than just El Toro. Imo I think what Louie has done between 2019 and today is much more SOTY worthy. I'd rather see him win now than in 2017.
@@non_brewed_condiment I mostly agree with your stance on contests with the exception of Tampa Pro. But yeah, Street Leagues and X Games don’t matter to me. Tampa contests are more organic so I weigh them in consideration for the year.
But I will stand in disagreement with you about the 2017 SOTY.
@@WendyOryen that's a good point, winning at Tampa is definitely different from winning other contests, I can see why you'd consider that for a SOTY candidate for sure.
To each their own, I respect your opinion and I can see your point. I will say that in general I like Louie more as a skater than I like Foy and I hope to see him win this year (although I have a feeling it will be T-Funk) but imo I can't ignore how hard Jamie was going in 2017.

Why is there a roundrail sticking out of a car. There's no reason for the car to even be there. The spot doesn't encourage creative use of the car as an obstacle. Songs were cringe too. This made me feel 15 and old at the same time
