The Jewish nation would sing Psalms as they headed into battle. What battle are you facing today: anxiety, shame, panic, depression, confusion? David, the author of many of the scriptures found in Psalms, faced all of these same feelings. David’s life pattern was to get brutally honest about himself and what he was facing, and as he cried out, he would land in the truth of God.

I was given the Psalm 84:11-12 this morning during my quiet time: “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!”
No matter what I go through, I know the Lord God has good in mind for me, not necessarily materially, but spiritually. A day with the Lord is worth all!
