      Hi thank you so much!
      Summer months are exceptionally hot & humid but it makes the water and pools that much more enjoyable!😊

    Hey, great video! Which did you prefer at Langkawi - St Regis or Ritz Carlton?

      Hi, thank you so much!! That’s a tough question as both offer so much. I prefer the St. Regis for the overall experience, however the room at the Ritz Carlton was immersed in nature and it was unlike any room we’ve ever stayed in. What are some important things you are looking for in a hotel experience?

      @@travel.destinasians Thanks for your reply - we have enough points saved up to go to both for 5 nights each and we definitely will as they both look so amazing. But regarding the rooms, this year we have platinum status and one of the benefits is you get 5 “suite night upgrades” so I guess I’m wondering which hotel to use it on

      @@gregoryjsealey Totally understand. In terms of status, I personally think the St. Regis offers better service, however if you're looking to use your SNA, the suites at the Ritz with the swim-out pool seemed much more beautiful. It's a tough choice honestly. Nonetheless, wherever you go, Langkawi is a beautiful island and I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay wherever you decide :)

    Does the afternoon tea need to be booked one day before?

    • @travel.destinasians
      @travel.destinasians  7 месяцев назад

      We booked it the day before as they mentioned they need a headcount ahead of time to make sure the food & snacks were prepared for the right amount of people

    Hi, what is the Marriott status that you used to get the suite upgrade? I have Gold currently and planning to upgrade it to Platinum to get more benefits.

      We’re Gold status members. I will say that most of our stays in Malaysia, the staff was very accommodating that we frequently got upgraded rooms

    how is the resort beach? is it clean and to relax on the beach?

    • @travel.destinasians
      @travel.destinasians  6 месяцев назад +1

      It’s a decent beach, it’s clean and you have space to relax on the beach. However it’s not the best side of the island to actually get in the water to swim - atleast not when we went in August.

      @@travel.destinasians so which beach or beach resort can you suggest for staying and also enjoying the beach life?

    • @travel.destinasians
      @travel.destinasians  6 месяцев назад +1

      We heard great things about The Datai & of course the Four Seasons. However, if you’re looking for a more cost effective beach resort, the Tanjung Rhu resort is nice too! This is also near to where they do the mangrove tours from. You can check our channel for our reviews of the Tanjung Rhu resort & the Ritz Carlton too! 😊

    St Regis looks small and only got one pool. Will it be a problem?

    • @travel.destinasians
      @travel.destinasians  7 месяцев назад +1

      When we went in August, the pool was vacant most of the time. Mainly since the first floor suites have their own private swim out pools. Either way, the beach is right there too! We really enjoyed our time at the St. Regis!😊
