Great video! Muskegon Michigan has been going good on the kings. Would love to order some of those baits but everything seems sold out!!! 🤣 Great advertising though. Tight lines good to see a video on the water
@@clarkallen4541 yeah I check day by day week by week not everything is restocked. Been waiting on a few flashers to show back up in stock for two weeks now.
I am just a newbie to big lake fishing and have only caught lake trout. I live on the north shore of Lake Superior and would be will to place an order off your site. But I don’t really know what I should get. Looking for a flasher fly combo.
@@RussellsFishingTech love the video. I love seeing great Coho’s. I am also a victim of over estimating the big fish of the day when I am excited. Seems to be more so when I am catching small Coho or Steelhead and suddenly I get a decent King. Once I calm down I usually retract my over estimation. Either way nice day on the water and a dime bright King to boot.
Wish I could post pictures of all the elawives washing up on Michigan beaches massive die offs reminds me of the 70s .. still only stocking 666.000 kings .. fact they cut lk trout stocking 100% in lake Huron I think they're bringing back elawives to lk Huron .
@@freetimeoffshore3157 kings at Manistee we're huge last August .. took trip with my son .. landed 35 kings over 20 pounds .. two master angler steelhead and dozen or so coho . Running 6 rod spread we had plenty of action that week of fishing we had amazing trip .. lost few on those river side flys with mustad hooks . I knew better even bought replacement hooks never lost any once we switched out the hooks. J-plugs and spin doctor fly was the best for us .. we were only few miles from that new great lakes world record was caught . They only caught two fish that morning one was probably 50 pounds if they ran in got it weighed in right away . They fished all morning thinking it was a 30 pounder and even hung it up at the marina getting pictures finally owners of the marina that's biggest king we have ever seen rest is history .. had to of lost weight thou . Should have filled the cooler with water ran it in. Fishery in good place right now .. lk Huron been amazing spring alot of Atlantic salmon coho kings walleye all been good .. feds are stocking Cisco in Saginaw bay spending millions on it between new hatchery and the new reef they built them to spawn on . Thumb area steelheaders really pushed it thinking be new food source for kings .
Russ love you videos and information. You don't have to pat yourself on the back when your talking to someone like Casey or compair yourself to him or anyone else. You are a different person and bring different knowledge. Also don't need to remind people of how much you have contributed to the sport. Let people make that judgement on their own. Tight lines and keep making good tackle. ☮️
@@RussellsFishingTech nice. I like how open the stern is. A lot of models have that U shaped seating back there. One more question. Idk if you run this particular set up, but if you ran dipsy flasher fly, how much lesser would you have from dipsy to flasher?
Russell, what’s going on with your video camera? Very hard to watch, very bright and splotchy color! My suggestion would be to put a polarizing filter on the lens; should eliminate the glare….one more thing, keep a fish billy handy, and crack em across the top of the head with it as soon as the net hits the floor…ain’t nothin worth a treble in your hand because you reached in and the fish started thrashing and rolling.
Great video! Great instructions and fun to watch. Thanks
Awesome stuff!! We still have a lot of Cohos down here as well. Those custom thin fins look great!!
Thxs for fishing video Russell I wish you did more videos out on the water👍🏻🎣🐟
That’s the plan this year
Nice day on the pond!
Thank u

Looked more like a little over 15lb King ? Hope you weigh it for us ???
It was bigger then 15 IMO I don’t weigh them unless it’s a tourney cause it doesn’t matter to me what they weigh! There all fun to catch
