There is actually no strong religious meaning in song Teresa, Maria. Mostly about women, struggle and overcoming struggles, also that women don't need to be perfect, so even Divas such as Maria was born as human being. Just one judge who is Crimean Tatar and Muslim decided to complain about religion because in song lyrics was mentioned some Christian figures as mother of Jesus Christ - diva Maria.
Oohh!! Thank you so much for explaining the lyrics to me, I didn’t know exactly what the judges meant. I was watching in Ukrainian, I understand a little bit because I’m from Latvia originally, so glad to hear that the message has a deep meaning
@@Janaofficialmusic I didn't get Jamala's complaints about religious either. She said something that not all Europeans are Christians and so some may don't like the song because of that or even could be offended because of references to Christianity.

We Ukrainians went a bit overboard, so the voting for the winner will take place today, it seems 😅 last year 800 people voted in a second, and this year 15,000, that is, the number of those who wanted exceeded 20 times, and the voting program did not hold up 😅😁

In 2017 he took 3rd place, in 2018 Vidbir won and went to Eurovision, where he took 17th place, according to audience votes 7. Perhaps it was meant that he was trying to return to Eurovision a second time to win
