this is great. I think one of my fuming issues is that I'm keeping the receiving glass too hot or applying it too early in the process. it seems like it's more successful on the almost finished piece. enjoying this tutorial, thanks!

Fantastic demo! I don't make any kind of stemware whatsoever, I'm an intermediate flame worker at best producing mainly pendants, knickknacks, etc.. I want to let you know that I've watched hundreds of hours of video/demos and learned more USABLE knowledge in 55 minutes watching you than I have in most others, especially relative to time. The commonsensical approach you have seems so logical that I'm almost embarrassed that I haven't known or thought of these thing before now. An example of what I'm talking about- leaving an excess of clear glass on your color to slowly build the heat. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us! Next time I'm home in New York I am definitely going to stop by Cicada!

Are you a well recognized lamp worker and able to explain your process extreme detail while working?
