Great video and well done for braving the freezing cold top job. 3 Questions 1. Do you know when they are putting up the electric for the west coast. 2. Is there a date for the withdraw of the HST as I'm hoping it's not any time soon as I would like to video some on the east coast. 3. How do they put them cars/vans on them train wagons would they be craned on or driven ? Stuart John
Thanks very much mate :) in regards to the electrification I honestly couldn't tell you. Network Rail are stalling at the moment because the estimated budget for the whole thing has sky rocketed out of control. Going to cost them way more than they first thought. As for the HST sets on the east coast main line your looking at 2018 when they dissappear with the introduction of the class 800. I'm not sure when they will be leaving the great western main line but I'm told they are going to be working well into 2020 from all accounts. And with the car/van trains each vehicle is individually driven onto the trains. Try to think of it as a bigger car transporter on rails. They are all driven on and off. Gotta take a fair while to get them fully loaded.
I was going to say must have a army of drivers to load it cause you be all day parking cars/vans on each wagon lol. Thanks for commenting back mate looking forward to the next station I'm going to request one what about stratford inter for some action on the hs1 line
Great job a few eurostar sets shooting by what I've been told is that the trains that run from London to Paris are also up for new trains wonder what they will do with the older set's if you can say that they are old
zarak002 I'm not overly sure on the overall speed limit for the HST's traveling through Slough, I'm relatively confident there going at near their full speed.
"...yes, I'm filming trains...good god...sacrilege on the world." Oh well, they don't appear to have a hobby like you at the moment, as they're preoccupied with sulking through the station.
i went back to this video to find the london - slough service
Someone did that at Bournemouth as well.
Great video as always:-) Could you do any South West Mainline videos? Maybe come to Brockenhurst? That's where I'm based

Stuart John I can definitely look at filming on HS1 sometime this year

Stuart John The class 373 is fairly old. It's the original Eurostar, they have a new class at their depot which is ready for use.
HSTs must travel through Slough at a fair speed.

zarak002 125mph their top permitted speed
Why don't you try at goring and streatley
I'll look into them at a later date
Correct me if I'm wrong but the hsts pass through Slough at 125mph cuz I've been to Slough and they do pass very fast
I do believe that they pass through at near full speed
+Tornado922 what days do you work cuz I was hoping we could meet up on the 12th September at Tamworth for a all nighter
Daniel Martin Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the days I'm at work mostly
+Tornado922 would you like to meet up on the 12th September for a all nighter at Tamworth

Ok, are you going to do a 300 subscriber special?
I won't do a special per say but I will put one up thanking them
What's your next location? My one is Cambridge
