This did not work for me. Disabling VMD worked, but then reinstalling Windows, I can't re-enable VMD, or the hard drive won't boot. I'm worried as if this is a good feature, I want it on. I typically like to do a fresh install of Windows on a new laptop so I don't have to deal with all the bloatware. Unfortunately, if I do this, I have to permanently disable VMD. I tried the drivers on ASUS' site, as well as the extracting the drivers via powershell through Intel's site. I've tried loading all of them during a Windows install, but the hard drive still doesn't show up. It's very confusing. Does anyone know how to fresh install Windows with VMD enabled? I'm convinced there's a proper set of drivers that could be loaded out there, they are just not on ASUS' site.

Have you update anything then the problem occur?
Could you provide your product model and BIOS/OS version? Thank you.

The general "IRST" driver did not work for me. I found page with drivers for my laptop model (ROG Flow X16 (2023)), and under Chipset I downloaded IRST driver, then launched .exe file and extracted it to USB. However, IRST driver on that page is outdated, compared to intel site, so, I'm thinking of installing the latest version after I install win11.
I did the exact same steps but at 02:00 you have two options in your "select driver" list and it only shows me the second one "VDM Managed Controller..." the one to choose, "VDM Controller 9A0B..." is not an option to me... And that "VDM Managed Controller..." it did not work.
If i click "show not compatible Drivers" the driver is visible, but still nothing happens after installation

The steps in this video helped me create one RAID 1 array. However, I was not able to create a 2nd RAID 1 around with two other drives. Is it only possible to create 1 RAID 1 array?
