P2m j You are 100% right! Several years ago I gave bags of clothes and other things, and money to a young woman who was homeless and pregnant. I tried so hard to help her get off the street. She turned around and sold every single thing I gave her and I suspect the money went to drugs.

Aww this broke my heart. I could see her whole demeanor change when Tom talked about speaking to the woman raising her child. I pray that she gets the help she needs.

Lisa’s Chi Chi’s All that has to be done is typed up and uploaded to Amazon. She can earn some money and it’s ongoing as people purchase and download. Maybe a program where these people record and or write their story and people can decide to buy it or not but it would raise awareness and hopefully keep people from committing crimes for money.
I am in recovery from drugs and alcohol here in Utah. I was homeless and did some pretty awful things in order to get a room, or drugs, or an occasional meal. I can relate to the women you interview 100%. I was an addict from age 11 until age 43. I've just turned 45 a few days ago and have 18 months clean and sober. I now work at a medical detox where I get to help others who are living the struggle that I lived for so long until I finally decided to make a long term change. Thank you for sharing these videos.
Scan them then let us buy copies, the money can go to getting her detox and rehab far far from where she is. I know it’s not as simple as this, but this beautiful girl needs a chance :(

I have to agree with Coco, when I was struggling I was so overwhelmed just calling 1 800 number was soul draining, took me about 10 years to get the help that I needed
I would love to read Coco's journals, she has valuable insight on how even minor obstacles could prevent someone from getting the help they need. Sad to see her in that state but I hope things will turn around for her soon. 😔🙏

What Coco said about connecting people with rehabs is so right. I know its not your responsibility but she is right, thats a huge part of what we did when I worked for street outreach. Sometimes people just don't know where to start, especially when they're not in the right frame of mind from drug use, just giving people the right number or address can be a fantastic start
Jeeze. This one really hurt my heart. You can feel her struggle though the screen. I think writing is such a powerful tool and I encourage coco to keep at it! I'm certainly rooting for her success and hoping she finds healing along her journey! Sending love from one human to the next.
Omg Tom I know I'm late but I've been crocheting for a while and I'm going to try to start crocheting a box of hats and warm stuff I say prayers for these ladies and I'm thankful for what you keep doing. I'm glad she mentioned Medicaid and then explained why it doesn't work. It's real and life and exposing it makes it easier for me to understand but we are all human we all make mistakes no one sin is greater then another

I went to rehab at just 14, although I was never chemically addicted to anything I used drugs and alcohol as a way to feel okay. Emotional pain and depression had gotten the best of me. I eventually got sober for real at 15 on October 24th, and now I’m almost 15 months sober. It does get better. Prayers for your strength.

Whether it could be a jealous boyfriend that may realize that you could open ur eyes an leave him an get clean an move on an have a good life. Or one of the other workers "girls" get mad cuz maybe she could cud b doing better then they are. Anyone really. I see the pain in Coco's eyes. I have been there. It is a scary thing to face the unknown and withdrawal. Once you decide it is a beautiful thing to become sober. Help is out there and once she decides, she can do it. It sounds like she has a family that loves her and that wants to help. I hope so.

This is heartbreaking. I'll be praying for her. I have a loved one that battled heroin addiction for over 30 years. Countless overdoses, arrests, rehabilitation,etc. They finally got clean later on in life. It was a struggle. To no avail, they made it and she can as well. Happy New Year!
I'm an addict in recovery and she's correct that drug use and mental illness many times plays so much a part of my journey...I do get overwhelmed so much and shutdown. You're awesome girl, don't give up, don't give in, keep your head up
It takes a lot of discipline to journal every day. I've tried to, I always quit. Then I get mad at myself because if I had wriiten something down, I could go back to it and know the day when something occured. This is really useful for all of us. Tom, there is a company that creates books. You buy it as a one-off publication. I will look for the company name and re-post when I find it.

Is there not a methadone/suboxone clinic around where these girls are located? I was addicted for years and thank goodness for methadone/methadose aswell as suboxone because it saved my life. I have a wonderful family, live in a okay home..... 100× better then the situation I would be in without a clinic. I live in Ontario, Canada so my oppertunities in regards to health care system could just be way different. My husbands benefit plan from his job luckily covers my methadone, when I wasn't covered my drink was 5.00$ a day or 7.00$ depends on the pharmacy. If you are on Ontario Works (Welfare) methadone is 100% free aslong as you have a health card. I enjoy this channel and thank god for the gentleman that helps out the women and treats them like humans and not trash. I hope the ladies all the best. Much love ♡♡♡
Without even fully realizing the magnitude of her journals can have in the WORLD. As she’s writing her journey and deep thoughts on blank pieces of paper miraculously she changes the worlds perspective on addicts and addiction. Her purpose is greater than her addiction. 🙏🏼 Blessing 🙏🏼
You can tell she hasn’t had a fix. Or not much of one. If you are sick your emotions are easily triggered. If you are high you’re numb to the emotions. Obviously that isn’t always 💯 but one addict to another that’s the reading I get.

When I am feeling weak I watch these videos and remember why I got sober. I am only one hit away from being right back in their shoes. I wish everyone in these videos to live a sober life one day. It really makes me so sad that people think that this is all they are worth.
I completely AGREE with you Cocoa!... about the overwhelming factor. You are spot on... i think shes right Tom...it was a valiant effort , but people like Kelly and all the haters...all those jerks in society that point the fingers. Ignorance is bliss. Thats a FACT. Im sorry that people cant just bless you and your heart. The sad part is theres NEVER enough. (Money, food, clothes etc etc. ) just like the drug ..Tom its important to remember that "attention"..can be that fix too. 100% ....whether good, or not so much...its all attention. People are meant to love and be lived When its necessary to white knuckle our ways thru EVERY SINGLE DAY....then the need for attention and that fix of feeling approval is hard to manage. Addicts stop growing mentally they say at the sge of first drink or drug. A lot of is never learned appropriate boundries Tom, and it can be EXTREMELY taxing on those around us and who just want to cate for.us Even a little is a super big deal , and can consume one who needs those voids filled with attenti ok n and companionship. Just hearing that someone has letters and gifts and fans... that can really give a rush to ger but damage badly the woman looking across the street feeling so alone. Sorry for the ramble!! Im glad you stepped up Tom...really. takr some RnR...ya know remove yourself from all access to flee and help a friend in need. Take some TomTimeToday!! Haha. Then...revisit after the haters forget all about it. Thank you for being a kind person. . It DOES make a difference
CoCo what can I do to help you? Recovering addict to another addict...this is what can I offer!! If your willing to relocate to central Illinois and try a Methadone Clinic...I might be able to help you. I say might cause there is never a guarantee. I did all the research and found where I'm getting help at. I thank GOD it was never anything legal or otherwise that MADE me get clean. I see 2 women that really seem like they want help...that's Amanda & CoCo. If anyone wants help and you want to talk about what I've experienced please leave me a reply. I hope this girl eventually finds a happy path. She seems smart and capable. I've been homeless and addicted to heroin before and if not for the help of others, I wouldn't have been able to get better. I pray these girls (&guys) can make it out of the dark life.

Please get off drugs coco! You KNOW you are not meant to live like this. I see so much of myself in you. I am 24 and been on meth for 4 years & am still struggling to get clean. Our circumstances are way different but I could easily be where you are. You have a child that needs you. Pleaseee please. You are completely right about how addicts get overwhelmed easily. That brought me to tears. And I have journals for the same exact reason your story is changing lives already . But this doesn’t have to be the end result of your story. You can still come out on the other side girl. Put in the little extra effort to get connected with people like Tom and get into treatment

Addicts often have little to offer anyone in need, unfortunately. Such is the nature of the beast. An active alcoholic, for example, would be incredibly unprepared to help another alcoholic get help or get sober. This woman in the clip above clearly can't even solve her own issues, let alone be useful to anyone else in trouble.
You are a special person to show the care as you do for our people in the worst situations as these. It means more to them, than they say, that you give time to speak to them. Thank you for doing this work ❤
It’s hard to feel sorry for Kelly but this girl breaks my heart. Sweet girl - I sure hope she gets clean. Hopefully Tom can help her break free from the streets.
What your doing for these girls is great, being homeless myself I know.never stop helping those who can't help there selfs.whrn you feed and clothes these girls and help with alittle money. Omg Tom I know I'm late but I've been crocheting for a while and I'm going to try to start crocheting a box of hats and warm stuff I say prayers for these ladies and I'm thankful for what you keep doing. I'm glad she mentioned Medicaid and then explained why it doesn't work. It's real and life and exposing it makes it easier for me to understand but we are all human we all make mistakes no one sin is greater then another

I went to rehab at just 14, although I was never chemically addicted to anything I used drugs and alcohol as a way to feel okay. Emotional pain and depression had gotten the best of me. I eventually got sober for real at 15 on October 24th, and now I’m almost 15 months sober. It does get better. Prayers for your strength.

Or one of the other workers "girls" get mad cuz maybe she could cud b doing better then they are. Anyone really. This is heartbreaking. I'll be praying for her. I have a loved one that battled heroin addiction for over 30 years. Countless overdoses, arrests, rehabilitation,etc. They finally got clean later on in life. It was a struggle. To no avail, they made it and she can as well. Happy New Year!
I'm an addict in recovery and she's correct that drug use and mental illness many times plays so much a part of my journey...I do get overwhelmed so much and shutdown. You're awesome girl, don't give up, don't give in, keep your head up
It takes a lot of discipline to journal every day. I've tried to, I always quit. Then I get mad at myself because if I had wriiten something down, I could go back to it and know the day when something occured. This is really useful for all of us. Tom, there is a company that creates books. You buy it as a one-off publication. I will look for the company name and re-post when I find it.

Is there not a methadone/suboxone clinic around where these girls are located? I was addicted for years and thank goodness for methadone/methadose aswell as suboxone because it saved my life. I have a wonderful family, live in a okay home..... 100× better then the situation I would be in without a clinic. I live in Ontario, Canada so my oppertunities in regards to health care system could just be way different. My husbands benefit plan from his job luckily covers my methadone, when I wasn't covered my drink was 5.00$ a day or 7.00$ depends on the pharmacy. If you are on Ontario Works (Welfare) methadone is 100% free aslong as you have a health card. I enjoy this channel and thank god for the gentleman that helps out the women and treats them like humans and not trash. I hope the ladies all the best. Much love ♡♡♡

You can tell she hasn’t had a fix. Or not much of one. If you are sick your emotions are easily triggered. If you are high you’re numb to the emotions. Obviously that isn’t always 💯 but one addict to another that’s the reading I get.

When I am feeling weak I watch these videos and remember why I got sober. I am only one hit away from being right back in their shoes. I wish everyone in these videos to live a sober life one day. It really makes me so sad that people think that this is all they are worth.

I completely AGREE with you Cocoa!... about the overwhelming factor. You are spot on... i think shes right Tom...it was a valiant effort , but people like Kelly and all the haters...all those jerks in society that point the fingers. Ignorance is bliss. Thats a FACT. Im sorry that people cant just bless you and your heart. The sad part is theres NEVER enough. (Money, food, clothes etc etc. ) just like the drug ..Tom its important to remember that "attention"..can be that fix too. 100% ....whether good, or not so much...its all attention. People are meant to love and be lived
When its necessary to white knuckle our ways thru EVERY SINGLE DAY....then the need for attention and that fix of feeling approval is hard to manage. Addicts stop growing mentally they say at the sge of first drink or drug. A lot of is never learned appropriate boundries Tom, and it can be EXTREMELY taxing on those around us and who just want to cate for.us
Even a little is a super big deal , and can consume one who needs those voids filled with attenti ok n and companionship. Just hearing that someone has letters and gifts and fans... that can really give a rush to ger but damage badly the woman looking across the street feeling so alone. Sorry for the ramble!! Im glad you stepped up Tom...really. takr some RnR...ya know remove yourself from all access to flee and help a friend in need. Take some TomTimeToday!! Haha. CoCo what can I do to help you? Recovering addict to another addict...this is what can I offer!! If your willing to relocate to central Illinois and try a Methadone Clinic...I might be able to help you. I say might cause there is never a guarantee. I did all the research and found where I'm getting help at. I thank GOD it was never anything legal or otherwise that MADE me get clean. I see 2 women that really seem like they want help...that's Amanda & CoCo. If anyone wants help and you want to talk about what I've experienced please leave me a reply. I hope this girl eventually finds a happy path. She seems smart and capable. I've been homeless and addicted to heroin before and if not for the help of others, I wouldn't have been able to get better. I pray these girls (&guys) can make it out of the dark life.

Please get off drugs coco! You KNOW you are not meant to live like this. I see so much of myself in you. I am 24 and been on meth for 4 years & am still struggling to get clean. Our circumstances are way different but I could easily be where you are. You have a child that needs you. Pleaseee please. You are completely right about how addicts get overwhelmed easily. That brought me to tears. And I have journals for the same exact reason your story is changing lives already . But this doesn’t have to be the end result of your story. You can still come out on the other side girl. Put in the little extra effort to get connected with people like Tom and get into treatment

Addicts often have little to offer anyone in need, unfortunately. Such is the nature of the beast. An active alcoholic, for example, would be incredibly unprepared to help another alcoholic get help or get sober. This woman in the clip above clearly can't even solve her own issues, let alone be useful to anyone else in trouble.
You are a special person to show the care as you do for our people in the worst situations as these. It means more to them, than they say, that you give time to speak to them.

What your doing for these girls is great, being homeless myself I know.never stop helping those who can't help there selfs.whrn you feed and clothes these girls and help with alittle money. Your keeping them off the streets.having to sell them self's and making them realize people care.and thats what makes them want a better life than drugs or drinking.so god bless you.
