- I made a little guide on where to find all the fish in Oceanhorn Monster of The Uncharted Sea. It will help you get the Fish Sticks trophy/achievement. This will work on both the PS4 and the Xbox One version. Hope you will find this helpful!

For the record, I just caught a Goliath at Riptide Reef =3 The north part of the island, near the back part of Sealork sort of, off the sandy part that the water rises and falls on - just in case that part matters. It was a 33.67 inches one, too =D

FINALLY!!! After a million attemps and almost two hours, finally I have the first ghost fish. The tip of the video doesn't work for the Android version.

You can get the Arcadian Pike at alot of places, I caught my first one at Tikarel and I think you can get the Fireback at many other places aswell

Thanks Bro, That Ghost fish was annoying. Only other tough fish was the Arcadian one but even that one i got first try but the ghost fish i tried about a dozen times. The most painful one when i accidentally pressed B to let go as he had a sliver of energy left.. because i followed the tip to hold the controller backwards which is helpful but in that moment it hurt me because i wasn't used to it and rubbed my left palm on it... And i spiraled into failure after failure thereafter. Until i did the tried and tested break and came back focused the next day and knocked it out.
Ghost fish, it took me an hour to catch.
When I understood that I needed to put strength on my finger, I took it right away.
The secret is to force the thumbs, pull where the fish is stuck and force it in the opposite direction.
The electric was also difficult, but the issue is understanding, application.
I did this to catch it pretty easy (the ghost fish)...turn the controller around ;)

I got this game on my Samsung Galaxy S9 about 5 days ago and I'm almost done with it.
I've got almost every single bloodstone that there is on the game so far. There are only 55
I just gotta do some of the challenges on a few islands and catch a couple of fishes, Bot Fish and the Goliath Fish.
I might replay the game cuz I'd like to upload tutorials on how to play, what to do, where to go, how to solve puzzles, how to defeat the bosses and bunch of other important things you gotta do while playing :) peace out

I actually find the logic behind the mechanic of the botfish illogical. First of all, nothing of that rod is metal from what I can see, and thus, the electrical shock shouldn't be able to shoot through the rod. And I'm not sure if it matters much if you yourself has metal on you, seeing how the rod itself is wood, it should cancel it out? From other games like BOTW, electricity is apparently attracted to metallic objects, since it sort of serves as a lighting rod, nulling if you have something electricity absorbing or rubber, I suppose. In short, it just makes the fish needlessly hard to catch just as much as the Ghost Fish.
Need the Boltfish for platinum. Driving me mental. And I've got nine hearts. -___-
The arcadian pike can be found too at the first boss just got it 2 time there

Just so you know I found Goliath on my first try on the reef before I found the fireback and I found my Arcadian pike else where at random
The ghost fish was my hardest. Got my platinum though. That makes 21.

i went to the reef going for a fireback and got 2 goliaths and a bluefin before i got it..thanks for the guide tho :)

I went to graveyard island to fish for ghost fishes, instead I got two pretty large arcadian pikes. I guess they don't only spawn at the island of whispers.

How Get All The Hearts?
I don't know if they made this incredibly harder with 9 hearts. Ive tried well over 50 times, near the end the fish follows your rod or just keeps jumping and regains that tiny bit of strength it needs, as the shock is timed I always die. Seems like just luck and is pretty frustrating. Guide was great to find the fish but found Pike at Graveyard Island and Goliath at The Reef on Xbox One Version. Thx
Thank you for sharing your findings! I have added them as annotations on the video. After looking around some more, I also found the Pike at Gillforks Drop, but so far they have been a lot more common on the Island of Whispers for me.
And yes, catching that Botfish was a real nightmare! I failed several times before I finally did it, as you said it comes down to a lot of luck hoping it doesn't move around too much when its HP is very low. That's something I really don't like when difficulty is based on luck and not skills. Hope they sort that out for the upcoming sequel!

What's the deal with the whole "nine hearts" deal? Some games have the ninth heart, but I'm ok PS4 and I'm almost positive I'm maxed out at 8
Yes it seems the 9th heart is indeed a mystery. I could only collect 3/4 pieces on that last 9th heart. I can't find a guide anywhere that shows the location of that last heartpiece that I'm missing. But then again I've seen both images and videos of people having 9 hearts. Maybe it's a bug or something on some of the different versions?

got my plat yesterday, fucking botfish, took me like 20 tries but ended up getting a 40cm one !!
i found 2 goliath's at the reef
But I got an arcadian pike at graveyard island and a fireback at riptide reef.
The Pike can be found at a lot of places but they are very rare. They seem to be a lot more common at the Island of Whispers though as I caught several there and they spawn very frequently. The Fireback seems a little more mysterious as I only found it at The Reef. Thank you so much for sharing your findings!

MaximumGameplay I was at Max Lvl when I unlocked it, there were no issues for me. Maybe your game bugged out, or has there been an update to the game which could've caused the problem? In either way that sucks and I hope your problem can get fixed. :(
But where did you find the fishing hook ?
It's been quite awhile since I played this now, but I think if you just follow along with the story you will eventually be given a fishingrod and then all you have to do is start fishing away! No hooks or bait needed.

I assume you're talking about the botfish, yeah that one was a real nightmare to catch. I'm sorry to say that it is mostly based on a lot of luck whether you will catch it or not. Most of the times it just gives you a really bad pattern and move around like crazy and if it does that, you can't deplete its strength fast enough before it knocks you out. If it depleted half of my health before I depleted half of its strength I just gave up, recovered my health and tried again. There were a lot of failed attempts before I finally got it, but once you do finally catch it, you're on top of the world!
I'm sorry that I wasn't much of a help here but don't give up! Go and catch that Platinum number 73!

I haven't tried the mobile versions, but I guess they should be there? The console versions are ports of the mobile version after all so I'm pretty sure it should work on Android as well.
