    Was inevitable that Marino, Kelly, river, luck, etc would win a Super Bowl and none of them did. The ravens were healthy the last 2 years and came up well short of the SB. That’s problematic bc being as healthy as they were is very rare come playoff time

      What irks me is BAL has to stop going out against the grain. They called 0 designed runs for LJ. Guys, that’s like having Shaq and keeping him on the perimeter all game. Or having Curry and telling him to bang the paint all day. Compare that to BUF who called 10 runs for JA and PHILLY who called 20+ zone/read options between JH and SB. You can’t keep going out like that. I fully expect them to make some changes to the coaching staff. You should never settle for 3 when you have 1st and goal from the 2 with DH and LJ.

    • @jaydbakes
      @jaydbakes 10 дней назад +20

      Here's why, he's an excellent head coach. Lol. Your only as good as the sum of your pieces. Ask Mike Tomlin about that. Coaches like Mike and John can make lesser teams over perform. The ravens are built as a run first team, if you are able to stop the RB and contain LJ we all see what happens. Happens every year, LJ isn't as good a passer as JA or Pat. LJ needs to be able to run, or have his RB run all over the defense opening up passing lanes. LJ is fkn amazing, he just has one flaw. A flaw that could be solved with top tier wide outs.

      Peyton lost to two legendary Patriots defenses, and the loss to Pittsburgh was also against a great defense. Peyton beat the Patriots defense the following year because Rodney Harrison was out.
      The Ravens were the better team this year, and they still lost to Buffalo. In the regular season, they lost to Cleveland and the Raiders, two disgusting teams. Lamar is a great talent; something will probably never see again. But those two turnovers that led to 10 points, and of course Mark Andrews cost the team. The Bills's defense (or KC last year) is nothing compared to the Patriots and Steelers defenses in the 2000s.

      And the same amount of Super Bowl wins. If Josh Allen wins the AFC championship but never wins the Bowl he still has zero wins just like Jackson. Racist at ESPN already setting up the "Lamar was robbed cuz hes black" narrative. Its funny how last year, Lamar didnt lead in a single QB stat and the QB who did lead in multiple stats was dismissed because Lamar had a better team record. Now that Lamar does lead in QB stats, suddenly Josh Allens team having a better record doesnt matter even though that was the argument racist used to justify giving the MVP to Lamar last year. Its so obvious how yall move.

      I don't know why people keep forgetting that Josh had 18+ Interceptions last year. Mahomes had a down year from statistics standpoint and had a bad loss at the end of the season to the Raiders. Dak had probably the best QB numbers but lose every "big time" game and the media felt like he and Dallas beat up on bad teams. CMC was an outside chance because he was a RB. Purdy was the favorite at the end but losing to the Ravens with 4 interceptions in a blowout sunk his case in the medias eyes, with Lamar looking like the best player on the field. He followed it up with 5 TD's against a good Dolphins team. Lamar felt like the last one standing in the QB race. Lamar and ravens beat many of the top teams in the regular season and finished with the best record in the conference. Josh and the bills were only number 2 in the conference.
      If Josh had his 2024 season stats and team success in 2023, he clearly wins the MVP. Lamar had an historic year in many aspects. He had a top 5 passer rating of all time, 40+ TD's with fewer than 4 INT, 4000 passing and 900 rushing yards in the same season which had never been done. It's hard to argue a narrative season(Josh) over an historic season(Lamar). I think this is a year where things should be tied.

      What is this trend with downplaying awards and players just because you don’t like them or because they don’t won a ring? why do y’all do that now?

Mediocre stats + poor supporting cast + good record? MVP. Good stats + great supporting cast + lesser record? Still mvp. Why downplay the award?
