This is a transmission removal video yet you skip the whole part where you actually remove the transmission from the engine. You would think that would be a very important and crucial part of the video about how far to move back drop down etc. Super bummed sucked out 12 minutes and 12 seconds of my life that I'll never get back.
It's been 4 years but nobody commented about the shift knob, however i would love the shift knob i have a white sn95 with a black interior on the very off chance you still have it
13mm for the drive shaft. I got them off with a regular 6 point and a little tappy tap tap and my big haus 1/2 impact but i boogered the bolts up a bit. Definitely use a 12pt wrench. Especially because the bolts got stuck in the socket requiring me to heat them with a torch then drive them out of the socket with a screw driver holding it with vice grips slamming it on the concrete floor. (Btw this trick works 100% of the time if you get a bolt stuck really bad) Always use the right tool for the job if at all possible. I am just a stubborn idiot who likes to work hard not smart.
Great video! Curious how much time it took from start to finish. If you mentioned, apologies, I might have missed it. I have a 98 Cobra and I'm thinking of upgrading the transmission. Not a fan of the T45. I have a lift so it should hopefully go even smoother than how yours seemed to have gone.
Thanks for the Video very informative however there are 3 bolts on the starter not 2 and the top bolt is extremely difficult to remove I would say once you remove that bolt you are good to go.

I agree. Nevermind showing how to remove the exhaust and put jackstands under the car. Actually show how you removed the trans. 😂
Dude is a Vibe.

It took me about 6 hours total with lunch breaks and all

Yup, there are 2 😂 the guy who had the car before me must have lost one when he put the last clutch in
The 4.6 has 3 starter bolts and the 5.0 has 2. Atleast on all the cars ive worked on.
Nice and Informative, Keep posting new videos ! New friend Here.
I have a 1994 mustang gt. Do I have to drop the transmission pan? or do I have a bolt to drain the fluid?
on a manual sn95 my drain bolt was on the right side closest to the bottom of the tranny
I had to remove my transmission and put it back in now it’s not shifting any ideas
You messed it up
@@snotsaidyk7640 nope
What height are your ramps
doing a t56 swap and never pulled a trans before. Not yet youtube certified...
Good luck, and let me know how it goes. I want to do that some day
Dudes sniffling was too much for me to watch past 3 mins lol
.. u didn't really show how u got it out ... 👎👎
I’m literally taking mine out right now haha this shits hard.
@@kylewolf7139yeah you gotta tilt the engine up a bit to fit the transmission back in
about to pull the trans and engine for the first time. Btw wana sell those seats lol?
Good luck! And not at the moment but I'm looking into new ones next year so if I do then I'll let you know.
@@westernwashingtonoutdoors4639 cool sounds good. Can you send me better pics of them? Let me know how you want to send/recieve
You really made a video on how to take the transmission out then skipped the part where you take the transmission out, 100% waste of time.
The while reason I wasted my time in this video was to SEE HOW to remove the transmission from the engine happened, which bolts, issues...etc. FAIL!
