I watched "Sadgati" of Om Puri a few years ago, I was 18 at that time. I got to learn about the true meaning of oppression and discrimination for the first time from this movie. Unfortunately this caste based discrimination is still prevalent in the rural areas. I have a few friends from Village who told me this harsh reality.
