is the flip key of the same length as the standard one? i recently bought one off Ali-express but the lengths of the keys do not match and the locksmith told me that it could not be cut.
ok i have did this before but noticed a big flaw you can't use the flip key as it has not been cut :p so you would have to take it to a key cutting place to get it cut if they allow car key cutting :S
Immanuel Kant he showed how put the most important part into the flip key case but the actual metal part needs to be replaced. it isn't that hard because for example I'm able to turn the ignition key at my friend's car with my key but it doesn't start because the code on the pcb board doesn't work with immobilizer saved code ;)
Patrik B yes there are 4 types of keys and that case is able to mount all of them, after you cut them you need to go to an Opel shop to make it useable in your car, cause the codes of the immobiliser ain’t on the new key.

The one i have used was the same size as the original and the cutting went perfectly.
