I can’t get over how beautiful this game looks & the music for the stages is so catchy
This & MK1 are two of the most beautiful games graphically I’ve seen not just for fighting games but in General up there with the best of them Great times to be a Fighting game fan
What's insane to me is the great difference between Tekken 7 and Tekken 8 visually, T7's graphics kinda look ugly next to T8, really shows the years between both games

@@All-Muscleh it’s definitely got awesome graphics but not in the league of the other 2 no chance for example I had bought it on PS4 n I was playing on the old PS4 version not the pro or anything which is the weakest of the lot then I got my PS5 on the weekend & did a free download of that version also still got PS4 version & compared them & PS5 is definitely an upgrade but not a huge difference.
Whereas these two are full on next gen games with amazing graphics.
Btw I ain’t dissing SF6 I love that game & it is beautiful graphically
But not in the same league as T8 or MK1 they are in a whole other league where non fighting game fans go wow insane graphics
sorry, i dont see the difference between T7 and T8. And even betweeen Mk11 and Mk1.
The ONLY mishima by blood who isn't obsessed with power or is cursed by the chain of hatred (despite kazuya saying he would sooner or later back in T6)
Honestly, with heihachi dead, and kazuya either following sooner or later, or getting his redeeming arc through jun's comeback it's good to know that jin at least has 2 people on his family's side aside from his mother that always will stand by him going forward from here.

Lars def isn't gonna turn evil or whatever but the moment he found out he was a Mishima, he became part of the cycle of conflict. Just as Kazuya hinted in Tekken 6. Lars isn't exactly clean either since while he isn't borderline evil or power hungry, he's still a war criminal (especially now that he's helping JIN of all people) so hooooh

That opening gesture with the fist bump is so fucking good. It's a little thing but it adds so much, can't wait for this game
A Lars main here. Thanks for this, really appreciate you showing Lars' gameplay as extensively as you have with these ranked sessions. I've been really curious to see his Tekken 8 changes.
To explain why he cant tech throws at certain points:
In tekken 8 when a throw becomes a counter hit against another move the opponent cannot break that throw. That's why you see that brief flash and a freeze.
That's a big change. Makes throw timing way more important. Going to to see more throws at high level gameplay this way as well

It depends on the active frames. I don’t know the frame data, but say throws are active (can actually grab the opponent) in the 10th frame after you enter the command. If you hit throw at the same time the opponent attacks with a move that is active (can actually hit) 12 frames after the command is entered, the throw will hit first. And since the opponent was in the act of performing a move, the throw will counter hit and be unbreakable. This is such a welcome addition to Tekken as I feel I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen a basic throw actually connect in high-level play.
They gave everyone so much more flash in t8. Lars, Jin, Kazuya, Jun, and Jack are my favorite. Its just fun watching them
Lars was my main in Tekken 7. People would complain because he doesn't play "conventionally" but his tools for closing distances and controlling space are some of the best in the game. Plus his "rejection" combo ender is the coolest throw in the game.

I've never played Lars (Dragunov main), but that throw ender alone is enough to make me consider trying him out in T8. I don't think I'd ever seen it used against me in 7. I love throws and hit-throws, but not necessarily full-on grapplers like King (hence me loving Dragunov).
They certainly went all in on the soundtrack for this game! This life cycle is going to be a fun one!
So now we need art of Max as Lars complaining about the length of a combo😂
hoping and praying we finally get a release window sometime soon. Even as a more casual tekken fan, this game is something i need my hands on immediately.

Gods, this game is beyond beautiful; the animation, character designs and energy is to me leagues ahead of Mortal (One) Kombat! I can also say with confidence the same about Street Fighter 6, these two games are gonna put 2023 on the map...or in T8's case, 2024...
I could picture myself getting lost in hours on a rematch in that stage with the rave lights and crowd
the heat and other new mechanics adds such a fun dynamic to the game

@@thelonesage3146 Hearing the trailer announcer yelling in my ear each time I choose a character would become obnoxious very fast, and I'm sure the devs were aware of that. Glad they kept it standard.

@@sky-oq5mr True but Its interesting to see. Three of em has the basic Mishima Karate. Kazuya and Lee learned directly through Heihachi, while Lars learned through the Tekken Force
The 8 in Tekken 8 is the amount of required belt buckles in each character design
This game looks great and so much fun too
I'm just happy it sounds like tekken again. Tekken 7's default music was mostly noisy dubstep and so unlistenable they added a music customization menu post-launch.
This looks so clean. That BGM, though! I think this entry could have the sickest soundtrack. My hype can no longer be contained.

That last move with jun is a risk reward it acts like a shield if she isnt hit there she loses health. Just got caught and it takes away a lot of health.

@@kayronfaithbringer1613 it is why it's a big risk reward i remember doing it accidentally losing a small chunk of health. But when connected its a health gain.

Max straight up your movements, pick your distance. use frames plus distance and your most damaging moves. Mix-ups ~counter or appropriate move.
Yes there's more then just mashing involved but he'll get there 😉

Just a theory... Max seems to have ditched Jin for Lars because he realized the character is blonde-ish and has his precious mobility.
He's had a disdain when he lost his Tekken 3 moveset and gave it to Devil Jin. Jin is kinda hard to use funny enough even though he's kinda the poster boy for the series. I hope he's easier to use in this game which kinda looks like the case.
Dude, I love the heat system. It's completely fixed the game. I fucking hated the jerky, sidesteppy, footsie bullcrap that you see in the previous games that kills momentum. I love that this game focuses on being aggressive and keeping pressure.
As a lars main he looks like he's going to be a lot of fun in Tekken 8

He probably doesn't want to wear it out. It's like fatalities in mortal kombat, some people just don't like doing them at the end of every single fight. I can understand if that's why he doesn't want to frequently use rage arts. I barely used them in tekken 7 myself.

For everyone that played the CNT:
I play tekken 7 casually, but I find the quantity of moved overwhelming and that the gane is kinda defensive. After seeing footage of the cnt I noticed that the game is more aggressive and less dead moments. But, How is it for newbs or beginners? Is still that heavy on the quantity of movements for each character?
Yep, most characters still have +100 moves.
Same amount of moves then some more stuff to learn due to heat system and new character mechanics. Depth is what makes Tekken Tekken, don't expect that to go away.
