    I've used my delta for about a year now in my van. It's my only power source and I use it daily. I think this guy is being a bit nitpicky. The fan is not annoying. Sure, it turns on, but relatively quiet. And it's intermittent, not constant. Electronics need to stay cool. And I'd rather deal with a little hum, rather than extreme heat and possible damage over time. As far as the 3 grounding ports for 110v, let me know when you have more than 3 grounded units plugged in at once. It'll never happen. Even if you did, you still have 3- 2 pronged outlets that you use on top of the 3 grounded. The Jackery only has 3 outlets in total. You're going to exceed the wattage limits before you use all of that. And I can power my 1750 watt microwave with the Delta. Dont even dream of it with the jackery. The 2 handles are so you can use 2 arms to transfer the unit. Higher battery capacity equals more weight. Just like another other battery. The jackery has its uses, but if you only have one battery in your home or vehicle, spend the extra $ and get the Delta. Stop whining.

    I understand port placement but the noise of the device is nothing compared to a gas generator which you can have anywhere in your home. The fan kicks in because the inverter is on and it actually can consume up to 15w just having it on and that's what I hate about the Delta because it doesn't take that into account so it will throw off the estimate.
    If your going to be pumping 1200w into this thing to charge that fast then the fans are going to have to keep things cool also in a tear down it was shown that the fans are quiet but the noise comes from the fans blowing air over the heat sink so unless you want a bigger less compact device sacrifices must be made.

    • @GeneratorGrid
      @GeneratorGrid  3 года назад +1

      Totally agree on much quieter than a gas generator. I have a Honda EU2200i, and that is a quiet generator, but still no where near a battery powered one like the Delta. Thanks for the 15W tip, I'll test that out soon.

    You are not being fair, The function of the Delta is way more important than how it makes you feel. The fans make it the fastest charging unit on the market. The handles make the 45 pounds easy to carry or move. And the plugs are that way because you don't need to power everything in the house at once. Its a design safe guard to keep you under the 1300 watts use limit. (3300 i know, but that peak).

    I actually prefer the AC on the back with the DC in the front (personal preference i suppose) Having the two handles makes it easier to carry with two folks (useful for when the wifey and I are going to a walk-in site but feel like glamping). The fans being that loud is an issue (especially with no draw) and the grounding pin weirdness is not great. That being said: I like it overall.

  • @enr1997widget

    This seems like knit picking honestly. I just bought this model, the fans no longer kick on with the AC inverter, only during high loads. The only complaint I have is the relatively short battery cell life of 800 cycles.

    • @ES-mq9ox
      @ES-mq9ox 2 года назад

      When that comes into play several years down the road (assuming it's just used for occasional weekend camping trips) the battery technology available at that time will probably be so much better that many of us will want to upgrade anyway. There will probably be lots of this generation (pun intended) of "solar generators" available at yard sales & swap meets for dirt cheap at that time.

    I also have one of these Delta chargers, I do agree about the fans, not so much about the noise but about why they come on when there is no load on the unit at all. and in addition to that this unit uses a lot of power just because you have the power turned on. Maybe I will check tonight what percentage of power it does use just to be on. However I could not disagree more about the placement of the power plugs, I love them being on the back of the unit just like the Bluetti's, I don't want to see the power cords, I have my unit on a shelf or under a cabinet so I only want to see the controls. My units are tied into my house wiring system so I never have to move them, So if you have one of these units do it right and tie it into the circuits you want to power. My would you keep moving it around all the time ??? However, if you are not up on how circuitry works maybe you should ask a knowledgeable electrician. I should do a video on how to do this. Take care. Sparky.

  • @gigimoore3738
    @gigimoore3738 3 года назад

    I ordered this from HSN w/solar panels when it was a TS. It arrived with a cracked & broken handle in the middle of it, from the factory. The clear proof that it wasn't damaged in shipping is that the broken part of the handle was outside of the black bag that contained the unit. The inside black box was also damaged, one side wasn't glued properly so the handle of the box was torn. The silica bag seam had split leaving loose silica in box. All of this made it very difficult to even get it out of the 2 boxes because of the weight & being hard to grip. Eco Flow doesn't seem concerned that they sent out a damaged item. They wants me to return a 30 lbs item to them before replacement can be sent. I'll push HSN for a better solution. I'm so disappointed & outraged! I'm undecided on returning to due physical limitations on lifting it, but it's too much to pay to keep a damaged product...from the factory! If this is any indication of quality control, what does it say about the build quality & the durability of this unit? Is this more Chinese made junk? Keep or return? One more gripe....Plastic handles for 30 lbs of weight...be careful!!! It also needs to be designed with casters.

    Ports and connections are all over the device...solution: buy a small heavy duty lazy Suzanne (turntable) off Amazon for under $30.
    You should only hear the fan when it's charging or the output is really getting up there..solution: you may want to utilize the warranty that came with it.
    The fan can be a little annoying....solution: focus on the need...its all background noise when necessities are up and running.
    Jackery is a nice generator....but Delta just checks off to be better between the two.

    If you don't need a lot of power, lower power units solve most of these problems (lighter, less fan noise, fewer outlets but mostly on one side). The fans are something you need when you have a ~1000W charger and an 1800W inverter in an enclosure.
