Personally, I don't think Poppy is a bad guy. She's one of the victims just trying to escape but is being held prisoner like the other employee's, considering the way she responded to being freed. She sounded relieved instead of sinister like other games would have played the scene. Maybe this "mother" is the Pinky huggy buggy who is holding Poppy prisoner to keep her safe from the real villain who wants her to complete his research to making people into toys. However, none of the other toys are strong enough or capable of reaching the Poppy, so they tricked the Main character into doing it for them. My only other theory is that somehow Poppy got the letter out so the MC can help save everyone since she can't do it herself.
I also agree. I personally hope that Poppy I'd actually a good guy and since Poppy was the only one that was successful, the other toys trapped her to keep her away from everyone else. I hope she doesn't become like Baby in Sister Location where she seems good but turns out to be bad in the end
I don't know if I'm seeing things but *looks at Huggy closer* I think I just saw a little movement on the right arm too. I am not so sure about the breathing part I think...... I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me or something?
Perhaps she is the spirit possessing the "female" huggy variant. She looks much more friendly then Huggy Wuggy himself. Even when he isnt going all demonic with extra rows of razor sharp teeth, his smile is just super unnerving...
Whoever made this game has an amazing design team. That playtime co brand is so believable. All the posters and marketing for the brand is so on point lol.
24:30 Anyone else notice how the second machine keeps it's eyes on you. Imagine that thing eventually becomes something bigger and chases you down while destroying a lot of it's surroundings
Small theory: I think Richie was turned into huggy wuggy or one of the other toys creatures. I know it’s a stretch but imagine if someone like that was in your company and talking smack about it? It’s seemed he cares about children, he just tired of being overworked. So, it might have been the main reason as to why he would be used for experimentation, like a not-so-silent rumour about keeping your mouth shut and staying in line. Because if you can’t make the toys… …You become the toys.
Is Richie that guy on the tape who was yelling about the boxes? If he is,that tape where he was irritated about the boxes makes me think that he could be huggy wuggy due to his hostile personality. But it's only my thinking soo..yeah.
Yeah, that’s him. And that’s what made me think about it. And I guess music. The second one was more of way to clear my mind up to do the first one lol.
@@tommyleejones623 oh hahah, yeah. But I have a question though, why do you think music links to huggy wuggy? (I'm bad at explaining so I am sorry if you are confused of what I'm asking 😅)
Same with "nobody leaves without a toy". At first it seems like a cute sentiment, but considering how they treat their employees, it seems more like a threat. "You're not leaving until you do your job." That kind of thing.
I think the theory of Playtime Co. experimenting on children is also backed up by a particular phrase on the Boogie Bot poster in the storage area as it reads to handle shipments with extreme care.
playing on the "we're a toy" theory, maybe in the death screen that says "Exp.1006. isn''t he beautiful?" is better seen as a conversation, the first part is like, refering to the player, like "Darla, how are you?"
U didn't listen his theory carefully as u know someone has written all these go back, stop and no signs in the vents where huggy is chasing u so the person can actually change his mind to not face anything crazzy or smthng but poppy uses huggy and force him to go there and get her out that's how they r working together and even if he died she can just revive him as ofc u know she got powers one of the death phrases she says experiment 1006 isn't he wonderful this is probably by poppy and this shows they r together and good with each other I wish u payed more attention and probably huggy didn't die from that
I think your reaching somewhat with the theories of poppy being in control and the one to put the messages in the death screen. The set up of when you find poppy leads me to believe she was asleep or restrained before you opened her case. I think you'll carry her around 'Hello puppets' style, and she will be the key to undoing what ever madness Is Happaning
Here's my own theory: It may not have any meaning, but I do find it rather interesting that out of all the tapes sent to the ex-employee, why send the Poppy Playtime/Factory Tour Commercial? Could it be that the tours were also a means to get human guinea pigs for these experiments? My theory is that the founder wanted Poppy Playtime to be lifelike, i.e. like "a real girl" and so hired scientists to make it possible first trying out on Huggy Wuggy, but he turned out to be a monster. Rather than destroying Huggy Wuggy, among other monstrous toys, he used them as unconventional form of security for anyone dare to tresspass or snoop around in places they shouldn't be. Which is why Pierre mentions about it in the tape as well as a warning for employees not to stay after 8 PM.
Laith Pierre was the guy in the commercial talking about factory tours. I recognized his voice. I still wonder if the '"no hiding behind doors to scare Laith Pierre " rule applies to Huggy Wuggy and possibly a habit he had when he was human. Huggy frequently hides behind doors in the game.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but when the Scientist said "One break through and I'll be back" maybe he was referring to our character and the ability to come back to life? Maybe the theories are true and our character is an experiment that somehow escaped.
That's a smart idea, since in the bit of him we see in the trailer, he has no eyes. It also would be quite difficult because of the silence of the factory and the unavoidable echoing footsteps
Woah yeah. Idk if theyre going this route but its be cool. Poppy Playtime is already a huge success, people have been freaking out over Huggy, so i hope they finish strong. This would be an interesting route to go down.
At least to me the player character seems to be shorter than a regular adult would be. So I have a theory, for the idea that we might be 1006 or even just an experiment, could they have been trying to make a doll that was so life like that it could be mistaken for a real child? Not only to be an imaginary friend born from a doll but one that could grow with a child to a certain extent. It could learn what your child likes and dislikes and react appropriately, it would truly be interactive and like a real girl/boy. Could the player character be that experiment? Something like that would definitely need to be coordinated and able to cooperate with others. And something that enhanced and life like could conceivably be able to hide in the outside world without being discovered. Just a thought, please let me know if someone else has thought of this before.
Some youtubers: Explains lore and sometimes miss some things like the peeking huggy wuggy and stuff Most of the youtubers: proceeds to high five huggy wuggy with a friendly smile.... then gets freaked out when he gets out of the stage
[Edit: CHAPTER 2 SPOILERS] (Not sure if any of this has been said in the video but…) I think the “monsters” that chase the player may actually be the good guys. They’re essentially just organic, human experiments who are pissed off that they became experiments. A really important detail mentioned in the game is that Mommy Long Legs acted “warmly and motherly” towards the children, but hostile toward anyone who worked with Playtime Co., the company that turned her into a human experiment. It’s also mentioned that she attacks the employees as revenge for the company experimenting on children. This is hella important because it shows Mommy (on the same side as the rest of the “monsters”, so I imagine that their motives are all the same) as less of a villain. Which in turn shows her opposing side (all Playtime Co. staff) as the villain in the eyes of all the experiments. As for Poppy, her desire to live forever (as stated in her interview) made her give in to the idea of becoming a living toy through a series of experiments. Her willingness gives her more power than the other experiments. As for Mommy Long Legs, her hatred for the company gave her a goal to complete (to get revenge for the children), which gave her power fueled by pure anger and hatred. One last thing, even though it’s an obvious detail, when she died at the end of Chapter 2, she yelled “You’ll make me part of him” as in she’s literally going to be used as a power source for the Prototype, the claw hand that appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her corpse. I know this isn’t really a super deep and never-before-thought-of theory as much as it is mostly piecing together clues and trying to make sense of it in the most basic way, but that’s my take on it 🥲
I love your channel! Your funny, your theory’s make so much sense, it’s so fun to watch you I’ve been here since Bendy and the ink machine keep making great content!
Thinking about this, when we die, notice the background how it’s like a TV, like a VHS tape effect, this could tie into we are a toy/experiment ourself theory, we are a robot and this is what we see when we die. Another thing I’m not sure if it’s true but what if we are experiment 1006? And Poppy is asking us if Huggy Wuggy is wonderful? Like the last VHS tape says, Experiment 1006 went “missing”, but some how poppy tracks us down or something and sends us that letter, I’m sure there’s lot of holes in this and stuff might not add up but it’s something that I thought of, feel free to make edit/change this a little
bots that i hope aren't enemies: candy cat (its adorable though it may just be me since i like cats) the bot in the poster that mike wanted to be a ally
Lmao, if candy cat was an antagonist, I like to imagine him/her using their tongue to catch the player. I also agree about candy cat being an ally, they're really cute :] But I feel they're mostly going to be an enemy instead in future chapters, oof :,v
I agree, I adore Candy Cat's design. ...Which likely means it's going to be utterly terrifying when we meet the real deal. (Unless there's a twist and the player turns out to be a Candy Cat toy with a broken tongue or something.)
I like the idea of Boogie Bot being like an R2-D2 style companion, but there’s one thing that would make him comically annoying : Everything Boogie Bot says is a rap!! Hope you’re both happy and healthy Mike, hearty handshake to you. 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻
I do not believe that Poppy sent the letter, and I am sure that they are not a child. The Pink Tape interview with Stella gives me reason to believe that Stella is Poppy. This is why Poppy is helping us because Stella is a nice person that would be enthusiastic about being turned into a toy. If you listen closely you can catch that Rich, questions his grammar/spelling knowledge at the end of the Yellow Tape. In the letter we are sent there is a grammatic error, possibly linking the two together. I would just like to point that out.
A smile like that would cause Satan to be running back home. That vent chase scene literally made me scream next to my cousin which ended up making me laugh
mike’s playthroughs are just so entertaining, and his theories are so well thought out and put together. one of, if not the best, horror theorist on youtube!
Laith Pierre is defenitly important, he says he's the head of Innovation and the Innovation door has Poppy on it. And it days everywhere "Dont go into the Innovation door without permission" so its probably important i think it will be the final boss.
I definitely agree with the “huggy wuggy is helping you get to poppy theorie”. Especially since he seems to be watching you. He could easily kill you if he wanted, yet he doesn’t. I’m not good at making theories so I just tend to agree/disagree with them instead.
i think huggy has a split in his personality.. like huggy and wuggy are just two sides of the same coin. good huggy wuggy gives you the key and leads you, but bad huggy wuggy chases you through the vents. and i think poppy is trying to escape and help the employees
Wow!!! Man! Thank you for all the coverage of this incredible game. I love this game and I am so curious to learn more of its secrets. And since we have to wait for part 2, all of your coverage is helping me to past the time until the next parts become available.
I wonder why people never like, look back when they entered the room Huggy goes through first (the one with the pipes and all, where his arm is near the door) In the trailer when you looked back to the entrance Huggy was passing by outside the hallway, meaning he's been following us WHILE leading us to Poppy
Wait, in the build a toy section you're supposed to have a toy to leave... but if the tube the toys go though on weren't broken, they go somewhere else. How were people supposed to leave?
So, two things I kind of wanted to comment about I think is the way I want to say it? a) It seems to me (but I could be wrong here, I don't have the game yet and only have watched playthroughs) that the bloodsplats tend to have toys near it where their placement and damage are in line with how the blood splats and b) Has anyone tried to use the grabby hands to grab the toys that are hanging in front of the flower before going into Poppy's house thing?
I’m going to be stubborn and wait for the whole game to be released to give myself time to finish some games I have. It’s going to be a hard wait though this game looks amazing!
The tapes say that Huggy likes to hunt for sport. What if the reason he handed us the key and pops up frequently is because he wants to try and trap us in hte factory? When we first see him, we are pretty close to the entrance. Maybe he just wanted to make it harder for us to get away.
Why is nobody questioning that twitching thing/doll in the indroduction tape? It is at 2:49 where the screen switches between that twitching thing/doll and the poppy flower in the factory. I find it really disturbing to be honest...
At 32:46, you can hear huggy wuggy's screeching sound. He's definitely not absent o_o unless...there's other versions of him? Also, if they're talking about EXP 1006...who is EXP 1005, 1004, 1003, 1002, and so on? We probably won't figure that out until the game is complete...but it's interesting to think about. Update Edit: Sorta random but I found on Tumblr that someone finally went through and read the writings on the walls during the vent chase! Here's what it says, which I find to be super interesting: "ELLIOT" (Dude...why is his name written on the wall?) "I'M SO HUNGRY" "STARVING" "NO" "BAD" "STOP" "DANGER" "DON'T" "TURN BACK" "YOU WILL DIE" "LEAVE HER TO DIE" (Who??? Poppy???) This could be clues too...right? o_o Update upon update(xD): Go back to the official trailer and read the entire text, even the words that aren't highlighted. I found some interesting stuff there too.
@@coolbb4856 why would we be the expierement? Why were we arriving in the building if we are the expierement? Did we go outside killing everyone? if we are the expierement then we would not be a monster so what is the vessel the “secret” vhs tape reffering too? What kind of vessel?
I love your videos! Could you play Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom sometime? It's a spongebob horror fangame. The story is pretty simple, but the game is really long, but a good game nonetheless!
The poster about orphans also tells us that the game takes place in the Midwest. I also think that employees are not permitted to stay after eight because that is when Huggy Wuggy comes to life.
Some of those words in the vent say "Starving. So hungry." among other horrifying things and the constant "Danger. Don't go. Turn back." etc. Specifically, when you crouch through an opening to the left and turn back and look through the hole, the words on that wall should say: STARVING SO HUNGRY STARVING
Theres some things you miss like: Hand symbolism: you can see in almost all the vhs tapes that there is a hand on the screen and the grab pack is also a hand. The eyes: if you pay close atention to the middle machine of the make a frienr machine, you can see his eyes are following you it maybe another clue to all the workers disappeared.
Reminder! : Did you know that if you stand still in front of huggy wuggy, you can see him moving and breathing very slowly. If you can’t see it watch his sides.
With the Grabpack tutorial, I'm guessing at some point there would probably be a future chapter where a human would appear, but would get killed by the Grabpack.
33:05 If u wondering why it cut off, is bc if u hearing the background, u will hear ppl screaming and vent sound, which mean he is at huggy wuggy place and he get killed while talking (I think)
The character is a experiment theory reminds me of a twilight zone episode. Where a lady comes into a department store, realizes she was a part of that store, and forgot until a mannequin told her
The experiment 1006 being our character is actually really interesting cause with that one death message where it says "experiment 1006,isn't he wonderful" could be poppy talking to someone else or just herself about how we are wonderful which sorta hints more into the fact that we could be practically a perfect experiment and are exactly what poppy needs to be set free. This is just a random thought that came to me but let me know what you guys think
okay but- poppy gives me major circus baby (fnaf) vibes. being able to interact with the player, directly nd indirectly, being possibly possessed, being somewhat sentient.

I also agree. I personally hope that Poppy I'd actually a good guy and since Poppy was the only one that was successful, the other toys trapped her to keep her away from everyone else. I hope she doesn't become like Baby in Sister Location where she seems good but turns out to be bad in the end

Because if you can’t make the toys…
…You become the toys.
There's a theory going around that Rich is Huggy-Wuggy.
Mainly from game theory
That’s cool, man. Thanks for the info 👍

If he is,that tape where he was irritated about the boxes makes me think that he could be huggy wuggy due to his hostile personality.

Theory: what if the reason why they started “Factory tours” was to catch people for the experiments
I think the theory of Playtime Co. experimenting on children is also backed up by a particular phrase on the Boogie Bot poster in the storage area as it reads to handle shipments with extreme care.
But lots of boxes are labelled with caution. We need a stronger arguement
It would be funny if Huggy Wuggy was part of the security system

playing on the "we're a toy" theory, maybe in the death screen that says "Exp.1006. isn''t he beautiful?" is better seen as a conversation, the first part is like, refering to the player, like "Darla, how are you?"
And I thought it was some kind of a deep memory flashback phrase
@@silverbullet2812 Huh. That could work, like snippets of a conversation the player character had before.
U didn't listen his theory carefully as u know someone has written all these go back, stop and no signs in the vents where huggy is chasing u so the person can actually change his mind to not face anything crazzy or smthng but poppy uses huggy and force him to go there and get her out that's how they r working together and even if he died she can just revive him as ofc u know she got powers one of the death phrases she says experiment 1006 isn't he wonderful this is probably by poppy and this shows they r together and good with each other I wish u payed more attention and probably huggy didn't die from that
I love this style of video. Its like a Lets Play + theories + tutorial all in one. I need more videos like this in my life.
I think your reaching somewhat with the theories of poppy being in control and the one to put the messages in the death screen.

I think you'll carry her around 'Hello puppets' style, and she will be the key to undoing what ever madness Is Happaning
you're
Here's my own theory:
It may not have any meaning, but I do find it rather interesting that out of all the tapes sent to the ex-employee, why send the Poppy Playtime/Factory Tour Commercial?

I think that Poppy saying”I’m a real girl” shows that Stella is inside her
I like how you said “ And the machine is doing it’s magic.”
Stella and Poppy having same va could also be a clue to that as well!

[Edit: CHAPTER 2 SPOILERS]
(Not sure if any of this has been said in the video but…) I think the “monsters” that chase the player may actually be the good guys. I know this isn’t really a super deep and never-before-thought-of theory as much as it is mostly piecing together clues and trying to make sense of it in the most basic way, but that’s my take on it 🥲
I'm also excited for chapter 2, it's basically one out of three things I'm hyped about (the 1st being Security breach and 2nd being Sing 2).
Like the last VHS tape says, Experiment 1006 went “missing”, but some how poppy tracks us down or something and sends us that letter, I’m sure there’s lot of holes in this and stuff might not add up but it’s something that I thought of, feel free to make edit/change this a little
Yeah basically some kind of mechanism won’t lets us die

I agree, I adore Candy Cat's design.
...Which likely means it's going to be utterly terrifying when we meet the real deal.
(Unless there's a twist and the player turns out to be a Candy Cat toy with a broken tongue or something.)
Another cool detail is how every door that opens up for the assembly line has the D scratched out of DANGER to make it say ANGER

The more severe security measures was probably just subjecting the trespasser to experimentation.
Something tells me that this will be the next Bendy and the Ink Machine with its development process.
I wonder why people never like, look back when they entered the room Huggy goes through first (the one with the pipes and all, where his arm is near the door)
In the trailer when you looked back to the entrance Huggy was passing by outside the hallway, meaning he's been following us WHILE leading us to Poppy
Wait, in the build a toy section you're supposed to have a toy to leave... but if the tube the toys go though on weren't broken, they go somewhere else. How were people supposed to leave?
They would need to try and make the workers beg for mercy
So, two things I kind of wanted to comment about I think is the way I want to say it?
a) It seems to me (but I could be wrong here, I don't have the game yet and only have watched playthroughs) that the bloodsplats tend to have toys near it where their placement and damage are in line with how the blood splats
and b) Has anyone tried to use the grabby hands to grab the toys that are hanging in front of the flower before going into Poppy's house thing?
I’m going to be stubborn and wait for the whole game to be released to give myself time to finish some games I have. It’s going to be a hard wait though this game looks amazing!
The tapes say that Huggy likes to hunt for sport. What if the reason he handed us the key and pops up frequently is because he wants to try and trap us in hte factory? When we first see him, we are pretty close to the entrance. Maybe he just wanted to make it harder for us to get away.
Hey Mike, you mentioned you didn’t know what the female version of Huggy Wuggy, so I thought I would let you know her name is Kissy Missy.
Why is nobody questioning that twitching thing/doll in the indroduction tape? It is at 2:49 where the screen switches between that twitching thing/doll and the poppy flower in the factory.
I find it really disturbing to be honest...
Laith Pierre always sounded very similar to cave Johnson, I guess he has that same tone as him.
I keep thinking that when I hear him.
Never in my life have I seen a men willing get killed and walk slowly to see their killer up close
Here's what it says, which I find to be super interesting:
"ELLIOT" (Dude...why is his name written on the wall?)
"I'M SO HUNGRY"
"STARVING"
"NO"
"BAD"
"STOP"
"DANGER"
"DON'T"
"TURN BACK"
"YOU WILL DIE"
"LEAVE HER TO DIE" (Who??? Poppy???)
This could be clues too...right? o_o
Update upon update(xD): Go back to the official trailer and read the entire text, even the words that aren't highlighted. I found some interesting stuff there too.
i think the character we play as is exp.1006
Don't forget about Pink Huggy may also be similar to Huggy Wuggy.
@@coolbb4856 why would we be the expierement? Why were we arriving in the building if we are the expierement? Did we go outside killing everyone? if we are the expierement then we would not be a monster so what is the vessel the “secret” vhs tape reffering too? What kind of vessel?
wow the messages on the wall reading "leave her to die" and "so hungry"...
Finally an interesting game after awhile
I love your videos! Could you play Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom sometime? It's a spongebob horror fangame. The story is pretty simple, but the game is really long, but a good game nonetheless!
The poster about orphans also tells us that the game takes place in the Midwest. I also think that employees are not permitted to stay after eight because that is when Huggy Wuggy comes to life.
Some of those words in the vent say "Starving. So hungry." among other horrifying things and the constant "Danger. Don't go. Turn back." etc.
Specifically, when you crouch through an opening to the left and turn back and look through the hole, the words on that wall should say:
STARVING
SO HUNGRY
STARVING
Theres some things you miss like:
Hand symbolism: you can see in almost all the vhs tapes that there is a hand on the screen and the grab pack is also a hand.
All these toy baddies, and the antagonist is human. Interesting concept
There’s only one chapter of this game that’s been released; and I thought it was wonderful. I can’t wait for chapter 2 to be released!
Wiat maybe 3-4 months u will have it
33:05 If u wondering why it cut off, is bc if u hearing the background, u will hear ppl screaming and vent sound, which mean he is at huggy wuggy place and he get killed while talking (I think)
In the last audio log in the game, when the tape is about to cut off, you can hear the same sounds that huggy wuggy makes while crawling in the vents
