If you listen on the first few lines of the song you can actually hear that it's live. The backup singers help ALOT that's why it kinda does sound like she's lip syncing even though she's not.
Pure Lip sync and actually Made so it sounds live! Her Mic is so near her mouth all the Time and In the same way! To belt a high note or just even to go high You have to move the mic near and far from your mouth, and to lip sync You hold the mic close so people wont see 😂 still Love her, her music and This song ❤
I love Hilary but realistically she probably does lipsync, this is quite a belty song that requires you to stretch and project your voice but you don't even hear her breaths as she sings, not stretching your vocal range is one thing but not ad-libbing or even taking a deep breath before a big note? And still sounding pitch perfect? Too good to be true.
It's both backtrack and studio, Her mic gets cut off on and off for certain parts and some parts have just the track I've hear this song over and over and you can compare now and its the exact same as the studio, you can be the best singer in the world but those Flyyyyyy's are studio as well as most of it. It is both live and studio mixed into one. WHICH IS OK. I've sang on stage to, I use backtrack when i'm not feeling up to singing but have to go up and honestly I'd quit the gig if I was not in the mood without knowing i had the back track. I still sing but it's nice to have the backing if my confidence just isn't there, On days that i'm not feeling down and out i'll remove the back track but sometimes you just need to.

She may not lip sync every song but I find a lot of her "live" performances sound like the studio performances. Not bashing her, she's one of the sweetest well kept women of my time for sure. Just saying that she has lip sync as most artists do.
They really pushed her vocals too hard on this album. Metamorphosis sounded more like herself. You can tell they were trying to make her a more legit singer vs actress. It’s not bad just clearly vocally demanding and not healthy sounding.

You're totally right! I love her, i have all of her albums, but recently I've noticed she can't sing at all. Her perfect voice is made at a studio. There is not at least one song where she sings it live the entire song. This is disappointing because all my entire life I believed she really can sing :(
