You're a 100% right about keeping the beats in rhythm. A lot of beatboxers overlook this while performing and that costs them a lot more than they realize.

Also I don't think you got what Helium did at the beginning of his 2nd round xd. He made the biggest counter in the whole GBB21 competition! That's why the crowd and the judges lost their minds lol. As for why it was 3 to 2 on the Judge decisions was because Helium was very precise and little to none mistakes plus his legendary counter while Inertia had many timing mistakes but the rawness of his beatboxing being able to produce 2 bops with insane crowd control and insane Inward Bass control won him the battle by 1 vote. It was a close battle to the eyes of a beatboxer but to people who are just getting into the beatbox community, they tend to lean towards to musicality type beatboxers instead of the technicality types lol. Glad KI won though cause I really love his style anyways 😆
If we're sticking to the live 1 on 1 battles and also stick to GBB21 for now, i'd suggest Zekka vs Colaps next. Probably one of the hardest and most discussed battles of the event, mainly due to things going on onstage, but also an amazing battle in terms of skills and just overall music. One of the absolute must-watches of the event.
I feel like you'd really enjoy the MB14 v thorsen loopstation battle. It's known for mb14 getting in his reggae bag. Mb14 v slizzer is a very entertaining battle too. I'd almost recommend that one more because of the "zir" loop that mb did was straight disrespectful.
The Thing is with GBB, is that most of the beatbox judges dont look at just the musicality side of beatboxing, they look at how technical and difficult sounds and patterns can be made, crowd control as well, both were equally strong at crowd control but Helium was more technical, whereas Inertia did simple sounds that fit better than helium as it was a complete song almost compared to heliums mixture of different beats and unorganised structure. Lots of Love to both of them but thats just my opinion.

Imma be honest with you scru, I think one battle you'd like would be napom vs bbk from the north American champions battle 2016. Its old, but you'll be able to see bbk (the stank face guy) battle, as well as napom, who's probably one of the best beatboxers in the world. It's got fire beats, crowd control, and plenty of performance. It's personally one of my fav battles
Finally got a chance to watch this :D A lot of people think Helium should’ve won because of the counter to King Inertia on the second round.
