I love the sneakers as well with my wide leg jeans. I do feel the sneakers have to have a certain look about them that makes them work. It's also how a person carries themselves that make the ensemble with sneakers look good. 😊
I never wear heels, due to feet issues, so im in sneakers a lot, I have so many cool pairs and yes i wear them with wide leg jeans. Honestly, i rarely see ladies in heels, sneakers seem so popular right now. I did recently purchase a pair of pointy toe flat sling backs in red that have some silver buckles just for a change when i go out😘
I don’t wear heels anymore. When I worked as a professional I had 125 pairs of heels in so many colors to match my outfits. I donated all of them except one black pair to goodwill. I was obsessed. No more
To say never do this or that is to guarantee something with absolute. With fashion everyone is different.. what may work for you may not be someone elses cup of tea. Ive seen so many women with low rise jeans that look absolutely stunning because it suits their frame and maybe some the opposite effect. Same goes for high rise jeans or wide leg jeans. Sneakers can look really awesome with wide leg jeans and looks really chic and not sloppy. Kitten heels can look nice with wide leg but can just as easily ruin the look of an outfit because it makes an outfit look off balance. In balancing a whole look, things like accessories, makeup, hair, can pull the whole outfit together not just one element..the beauty of fashion is nothing is absolute. A person can wear trousers, a crisp white shirt and sneakers look absolutely stylish and put together.. goes without saying.., never say never
I wear platform sneakers with my wide leg jeans. No to the heels (especially if you live where it snows) it looks “over the top” for jeans IMO but it looks good on you.
I admit I do wear wide leg jeans with my new balance sneakers. The toe is slightly pointed also wear them with loafers. I do own a couple pairs of pointed heals. I just find the sneaks more comfy. You look great in everything you put on!😊 always enjoy watching your channel ❤️thank you for all you do!
Thanks for sharing this information, I’m a little on the short side , 5’3 149 pounds Iv been having issues lately with finding the right balance for my wide leg jeans
Shoes are like the icing on the cake, and I think that wearing the right shoe with the outfit and for the occasion is the way to go. Which doesn't mean that wearing heels with everything makes one an elegant woman, on the contrary it can make you look frumpy and totally outdated.
Heather, you are the Jean Queen 👸. You know your denim and denim is very important. We wear it almost every day. It is so nice to come to a channel and to be able to have reference and access to someone that really knows denim. Amy
I think what made those wide leg jeans look frumpy is that they were too long not the sneakers. Wide leg jeans look great with platform sneakers or even some boots. IMO
I like your tips Heather but I disagree with your comment about low rise jeans. Have several pairs and love them, they look great with the right outfit.
I have several pairs of barrel jeans and they’re super cute, especially the free people ones. I get more compliments on those jeans every time I wear them than I have ever received before. I think on the right people they’re great! But definitely a trend and not for everyone.
I have two pairs of those and three other pairs of barrel jeans-I obviously really like them! The FP ones are the only jeans I can wear with sneakers, not even skinny jeans look good with sneakers on me, so I wear them a lot!
Heather, you look very good in your outfits. I think you would look good in a shorter bolder necklace, not huge, or a higher neckline. It would fill in your neckline better. Just my opinion. I have a shorter neck, so I tend to like longer pendants, etc and moderate scoop necklines or v necks. Sometimes what is in fashion doesn't flatter and we need to wear things that flatter us with the proportions we are given. Trying to be honest, not hurtfu! 😊❤I
I think they can look great with wide leg and cropped wide leg. Mine aren't overly long with extra inches puddling, but still work with heels. More of a casual sporty look.
I am 5'3 and think sneakers and wide legs work. I have long legs for my frame and I balance the top. Also, I am not obsessed with looking tall because who am I kidding, I am 5'3. Plus, I see sneakers with wide legs everywhere. In London, New York and where I live in Northern California. I don't think it's frumpy. It's really on trend right now. All my son's high school friends wear it too. It's a cool look.
So, how does a girl wear these jeans if you have a tummy and is a bit broad on top? What kind of top would be good for that figure? And should she tuck in the top also? Any tips would be appreciated. 😊
Agree. I’m not so broad on top, but I don’t have a flat waist, either. I think you can wear a looser top or simply don’t tuck it in. It doesn’t have to be too fitted, either IMO. I’ll just tuck in a small part to make it more interesting. Also, tall and slimming isn’t everything. Some people can never look like that, and that’s ok, too. There are ways to look good with a wide range of sizes. I think it’s good to represent that-especially to younger women/teens who can be very insecure about their figures.
I'd never wear heels with jeans - to me that's frumpy and dated! I rarely wear jeans anyway, only for shopping - dates and nights out are for dressing up!
@@lookwhatiboughttoday Saves one from getting bunions or mangled toe syndrome. I have some other options besides sneaks that aren't actual high heels and still comfortable.
You look great in everything including the barrel jeans. I’m sorry things didn’t work out but honey you deserve the best. you could date for the next several years and still have fun. There’s no rush. you make the rules 😉 Thank you for the inspo!
Barrel jeans are absolutely hideous; HOWEVER, it looks great on you! I LOVE the wide-leg jeans, and I'm so glad the skinny jeans are finally taking a backseat. The skin-tight jeans are flattering only on tall, thin women.
Hi Heather I think # 1 and 4 are basically the same. I think wide leg jeans looks nice with some sneakers. The slim ones not the chunky ones. Sorry about your "break up" cant wait to get the story❤
I wear wide leg jeans with sneakers. i find that you don’t have to wear a fitted top to create a good balance with the wide leg jeans. Ballet flats also work well for those that live in areas where we walk everywhere.
I keep trying to find a pair of wide leg jeans that work for me and so far, no go. That fun faux fur jacket has been on my Nordstrom wishlist for a while hoping it will go on sale. Thanks!
I'm 5'3 because of 6 major spine surgeries. I was modeling when my boyfriend at the time scared me with the car & crashed. I was 2mm from being paralyzed. So I can't wear heels. I'll try a kitten but I'm most comfortable in my thick sole MK trainers. Thank you for all your styling help but I'd love some denim & jackets I can afford.
The video was great I only disagree with one thing I have a semi wide leg pair of jeans n I do wear my Nike Dunks with them n they look good because the pants aren’t puddling the length is actually perfect and I’m the same exact height as you so I do think they can be worn with a sneaker or a loafer ❤❤
Some of them look to be wide leg flares. Still tight in the leg until after the knee. I just got a new pair and am enjoying the lighter shades of washes and fading but the dark is good too. Found a pair of black ankle boot leg that are flattering Heather would not like lol.
Chunky dad sneakers look terrible with wide leg jeans. I think slimline sneakers look good with wide leg jeans. To be honest, heels (especially pumps) with jeans remind me of the 80's and I feel dated, old, and frumpy in heels and jeans in my late 50's. I wear sneakers, flats and in the fall and winter, a heeled boot with my jeans. No high heeled shoes and jeans for me. The barrel jeans look really good on you but they don't look good on most people. I think one has to be thin like you to look good in barrel jeans. P.S. I love the belt style tip that you showed in your last video with the white belt. I have a thin brown braided belt that is very long on me and I can't wait to try knotting my belt like you do.
Gotta make a comment on the high rise jeans... Im tall but with a really short torso probably 2" to 3" shorter than a regular torso. I CANNOT do a high rise, they are in my ribs. I HAVE to do a mid or even low. Ive recently purchased a low rise pair from Abercrombie and they sit exactly on my waist right at my belly button. At the end of the day all body shapes require different styles.
Wide leg jeans look excellent with sneakers, of course not with all. Depends what is the rest of the wardrobe. Stilettos don't look like a right choice to me with any jeans. Wearing stilettos with jeans could very easily look cheap or too much. But if you like it ................ And of course, your advice might apply to women who have the same body shape.
Love how she gives advice how to look taller and slimmer ? How would she know how to do that? She's tall and slim? She has no idea how to "look" tall and slim if your short and curvy...
I just returned from London and 99% of girls wearing wide leg jeans wore sneakers. In fact, most people wore sneakers even with dresses. It’s a look that pairs comfort with style. Heels and jeans screams 80’s to me.
I love barrel jeans!!! But a true barrel jean not like the one shown here. I usually wear flats with my jeans. I think sneakers look frumpy. Everyone is different though so wear what YOU like!
Oh Lord ! Girl ! You look fab in everything !! Do not allow people like that, affect you. # 1, obviously, she is very insecure, over weight, & has been put down herself. Some people are just very jealous because of the above, even if they are slim etc. my Mom always said, kill them with kindness. We pray for people like that, & for ourselves, to grow & become stronger because of it. Love 💗 You so much !! God Bless You ! I’m always here for you. 🥰😘😘😘😘😘
Please don’t say low rise looks good on no one. Its rude. We are not all that tall and low rise is a savior for short waist people. High rise in short waist=Instant Erkel pants 😅
Not to mention the young blood that think high waisted is frumpy and want to show off their belly buttons 😝😚 I am personally overjoyed with the higher rises of now.
I think our dear Heather is simply referring to real low rise jeans. The regular or even mid rise are what I think you may be referring to. I have been watching Heather since the beginning and she is a very sweet natured and nice person who never intends to be rude. ❤😊
Personally I think the buttoned up, tucked waist with high heels is very aging and very 1990s real housewives. I’m well over 40, but prefer an edgier, more modern and relaxed look with my wide leg jeans that definitely includes sneakers and oversized tees.
I have to disagree about the baggy jeans and sneakers. With the right cuff, hitting at the right spot, and a specific shape shoe - think of a lifestyle sneaker vs athletic sneaker such as a stacked sole Vans or Puma Cali - they can make a casual outfit appear adorable. Especially for us petite ladies. However, if the jeans have a regular or cut hem, hit the ground/are too long and someone throws on a pair of running shoes… absolutely I agree that they might indeed look awful.
Heather, you do a great job of styling the outfits. You look great in everything that you model in your channel. However, there are current trends that are just plain ugly and would look exactly that on most people that don't have your body shape AND don't carry their clothes the way you do. Years from now, we would probably say the same things about them as what you just said about low-waist/ low-rise jeans. The top spot goes to the barrel-leg jeans; and the second spot goes to the baggy, folded denim. I'm sure they are comfortable to wear, coz they're loose, but the optics... are just... no thanks.
This all sounds like opinions to me. I can also say that not everyone looks good in crop anything. I am also sorry I have to disagree with you on sneakers 👟 with wide leg jeans or pants. In my opinion, these opinions may be a little outdated. I love a great pair of tennis shoes with a pair of wide leg pants suit. I think if you feel good in it , then you will rock it every time. Perfect example is I have a friend who wore a pair of rip away basketball pants that she rolled up tight at the ankle, put on a pair of heels, and a really cute top; let me just say that shit looked so good that I didn't even know what kind of pants they where until she pointed it put.
I never wear heals or pointy toe flats they failed miserably back in the day sneakers perfect with baggy jeans i thiñk its body type I agree with shorter girls maybe heals for baggy jeans but not so for us tall girls
You can not wear heels all the time some of us have jobs that require sneakers or tennis shoes!!! If you have an office job then is fine but not every one can do that!!!! And sneakers look perfectly nice!!!

Sneakers with wide legs look amazing given you choose the right pair. Fashionistas all over the world wear them!
I LOVE sneakers!! Especially with wide leg jeans....comfy, chic and edgy..💖
Agreed and for walkers that value their foot health.
I agree!! I’m 57 years old and I feel so trendy and fabulous with my sneakers and wide leg jeans .

woman wants to have a frumpy look sometimes, nothing wrong with it. I like the baggy on baggy, I think it's cute, relaxed look.

My favorite style tip was the emphasis and importance of a good belt. The belts you have shown us are exquisite.

If you are tall sneakers look great with wide legged jeans as long as you are slim on top -
I'm average height at 5'5" and wear sneakers with my wide leg jeans all the time. I am slim and usually wear a fitted top with them
I think they can look great with wide leg and cropped wide leg.
All my son's high school friends wear it too. It's a cool look.
Always wear my sketches with my wide leg jeans in the summer and I'm 70 and tall.
Wearing delicate flats or heels in the winter or when walking on uneven ground is not practical. Sneakers or booties would be a better choice.
Naps are my favorite supplement!
I think the slim line sneakers like sambas look fine with wide leg jeans. The chunkier sneakers make it look bottom heavy in my opinion.
To each their own. I think both styles can work. A sneaker with a bit of platform or more adds height.
Good Morning Heather loved all of these tips as I'm only 5'2." You have a fabulous day and thanks for another great video!

Any tips would be appreciated. 😊
My sister has a similar shape & she avoids wearing wide leg pants. 🤷♀️
No… many of us love sneakers with wide leg jeans. It’s not frumpy!
Definitely not frumpy since there are so many cool sneakers to choose from
I'd never wear heels with jeans - to me that's frumpy and dated! I rarely wear jeans anyway, only for shopping - dates and nights out are for dressing up!
Heather is in her sexy spaghetti strap time warp. She should add in more color and wear a print or a fancy blouse/top sweater once in a while 😉
@@lookwhatiboughttoday Saves one from getting bunions or mangled toe syndrome. I have some other options besides sneaks that aren't actual high heels and still comfortable.
When I woke up this morning, I was so happy knowing you were going to come on with your Vlog. It’s always so good to see you.
Amy❤
Hello Sneakers can be worn but the jeans must not be too long …..other wise it gives a frumpy look ❤
Wow! The faux fur jacket white and black it’s so cute! I have one that I haven’t used yet! But i will now!
Heather, today I went inRoss, they have denim trench coats.
Oh I love a good pair of sneakers with wide legged jeans!!! Love em. I’m 51 and it’s comfortable and my sneakers are really cool!!!!
My favorite denim color is the darkest blue I can find.
I really liked this video. Wide legs are tricky and everything you mentioned was perfect. Also I don’t like sneakers with them either
Happy Saturday Heather! ❤❤❤❤Looking forward to all these wide leg jeans looks! I have yet to find a pair that flatter me! (I’m 5’1)😊
I'm 5'1 also and found express flare jeans in short fit great. I love the flexx ones.
@@doriscistrelli9560 thanks! I’ll check those out! 🥰
I love sneakers with baggy jeans. Heels is not my type with baggy jeans.
I love the washed black . I do love a very light blue wash. I need to talk with you about 1 of your “Sponsor’s.” Extremely important. ❤
I keep trying to find a pair of wide leg jeans that work for me and so far, no go. That fun faux fur jacket has been on my Nordstrom wishlist for a while hoping it will go on sale. Thanks!
Thanks for the tips. I do think that sneakers look cute with wide leg jeans. ❤
I prefer the subtle wide leg jeans 🙂
Some of them look to be wide leg flares. Still tight in the leg until after the knee. I just got a new pair and am enjoying the lighter shades of washes and fading but the dark is good too. Found a pair of black ankle boot leg that are flattering Heather would not like lol.
I like those barrel leg jeans!
What kind of casual boots would you suggest for those of us in colder climates?
So sorry to hear about Mr. Fitness Guy. We support you, Heather!!
Great suggestions. I love the burgundy jacket. TY
What would you suggest instead of a belt for those of us who are not slim in the waist zone and have a little "mom" tummy?
Wide leg jeans look excellent with sneakers, of course not with all. Depends what is the rest of the wardrobe. Stilettos don't look like a right choice to me with any jeans. Wearing stilettos with jeans could very easily look cheap or too much. But if you like it ................ And of course, your advice might apply to women who have the same body shape.
My favorite look was with the burgundy, Quince blazer worn with the calf hair mules.
Amy❤
Love how she gives advice how to look taller and slimmer ? How would she know how to do that? She's tall and slim? She has no idea how to "look" tall and slim if your short and curvy...
I need to cover my tummy when I wear wide leg jeans. I won't tuck any top in. What do you suggest?
I prefer slimmer wide leg jeans that used to be called barley bootleg.
Thank you for the tips! Good evening from here 😄
Reference to barrel jeans: you look good in all things. I don’t love barrel jeans for myself but you look great.
Those jeans that you got the complaint on look fabulous on you.💖
I like the barrel leg jeans on you. I want a pair!
I am short waisted and do not look good in high waisted jeans but rather a midrise jean is better for tucked in tops on me as it elongates my torso .
I just returned from London and 99% of girls wearing wide leg jeans wore sneakers. In fact, most people wore sneakers even with dresses. It’s a look that pairs comfort with style. Heels and jeans screams 80’s to me.
Another great video!!!❤
Those barrel jeans are like clownish..?clowning.. but Heather can pull it off.
I'm 77 and also only 4'11"... I bought a pair of wide leg, stripped pants, but don't know how long to hem them?
BTW, I'm boxy and 168lbs.
Young people look cute with sneakers up due messy bun, and wide leg jeans. The hair style can make a big difference.
Hello it depends on the age, shape and length of the jean.
Your faux fur is the 💣 on you Heather, but those really never went out of style imo.
Sorry to hear you broke up with your boyfriend… I love to hear how happy you Had a nice time with him & sooo much in common
TY for sharing 🍀
creatine is also a must take as that will help with building muscle and is said to help with brain function.
Sneakers are great with jeans , your very young still , so us older ladies can’t an don’t wear heels!
Thanks for sharing ❤❤🙏🏾
It depends on the sneakers; you just have to have the right pairings..
I think sneakers look cute.
I love barrel jeans!!! But a true barrel jean not like the one shown here. I usually wear flats with my jeans. I think sneakers look frumpy. Everyone is different though so wear what YOU like!
Most men who are fitness buffs are more into themselves than into you. It’s an over generalization but I’d beware if I was single.
I'm a fan of sneakers with baggie jeans,
I have a large chest and short waist, pretty much none of these "do's" work for me.
If you like barrel leg jeans 👖 don’t invest too much because this trend will be gone soon. I get Rickets Vibe. Ugh!
I’ve never like barrel leg jeans. Just not flattering at all especially for me as I’m 5’4”.
I love 💕 everything on you .
Oh Lord ! Girl ! You look fab in everything !! Do not allow people like that, affect you. # 1, obviously, she is very insecure, over weight, & has been
put down herself. Some people are just very jealous because of the above, even if they are slim etc. my Mom always said, kill them with kindness. We pray for people like that, & for ourselves, to grow & become stronger because of it. Love 💗 You so much !! God Bless You ! I’m always here for you. 🥰😘😘😘😘😘
Jeans with heels is considered outdated in my environment. It's interpreted as trying too hard. Heels are better with fitted trousers.
I noticed a lot of YT fashion bloggers wear heels in their videos. I rarely see women wearing high heels in “real life”
High rise jeans look terrible on me. I’m 5’5” but I’m all legs. Anything over an 11 inch rise look crazy on me. I’m 93 pounds.
Same and I'm only 5'3. It's all about body proportions.
Please don’t say low rise looks good on no one. Its rude. We are not all that tall and low rise is a savior for short waist people. High rise in short waist=Instant Erkel pants 😅
My friend is 5ft 10 and all leg - she LOVES low rise!
I can’t wear high rise either, they actually meet my bra!
Not to mention the young blood that think high waisted is frumpy and want to show off their belly buttons 😝😚
I am personally overjoyed with the higher rises of now.
I think our dear Heather is simply referring to real low rise jeans. The regular or even mid rise are what I think you may be referring to. I have been watching Heather since the beginning and she is a very sweet natured and nice person who never intends to be rude. ❤😊
I think as long as you look good and feel good, you should wear what you want. Within reason.
Personally I think the buttoned up, tucked waist with high heels is very aging and very 1990s real housewives. I’m well over 40, but prefer an edgier, more modern and relaxed look with my wide leg jeans that definitely includes sneakers and oversized tees.
If your wide leg jeans are too long wearing them with sneakers can look frumpy.
Being 5'10" and slim, long legs, back in the 70s it was bell bottoms, halter tops, and barefoot or moccasins.
Also, bell bottoms were highrise then. These days it is high rise boot cut jeans.
I didn’t expect a commercial in the vjdeo
I have to disagree about the baggy jeans and sneakers. With the right cuff, hitting at the right spot, and a specific shape shoe - think of a lifestyle sneaker vs athletic sneaker such as a stacked sole Vans or Puma Cali - they can make a casual outfit appear adorable. Especially for us petite ladies. However, if the jeans have a regular or cut hem, hit the ground/are too long and someone throws on a pair of running shoes… absolutely I agree that they might indeed look awful.
If you have a stomach high waisted jeans look terrible!
Sorry, but a cute court style sneaker looks cool and casual with the right top and wide jean.
I have to wear mid rise with my wide leg jeans. Hi rise bunch in a very unflattering way at the crotch on me.
I think low rise or mid rise looks much better on most people rather than high rise..
Every other 2024 trend I’ve seen state the pumps you’re wearing are out.
I look terrible in high-waisted pants. Just so you know not everyone has the shape for high-waisted pants.
You can not wear heels all the time some of us have jobs that require sneakers or tennis shoes!!! If you have an office job then is fine but not every one can do that!!!! And sneakers look perfectly nice!!!
$2200 for a gold chain!! 😱 BTW, I drink tea! You are unfairly judge mental!! 😳
