Is it only me? I’m not at all surprised how long it took Clayton to get as far as he did. What surprised me though is, why did it take Faith equally as long to EAT THAT HAMBURGER?!?!?

I started doing car audio back in 1990... I stopped on my last truck a couple of years ago. I've won several awards for installations and sound quality over the years. I kinda miss it, but now I'm old and I just listen to podcasts and audio books. But I always enjoy a clean sounding system. The best system I built was in a late 90's F250 crew cab. Four 18's and 8 12's. We used 8" subs as mids and if I remember right 22 tweeters... It was 20,000 watts and it literally blew the windshield out in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. at 169db in a national audio competition. This was all before the high tech stuff they have now.

Love this video. Takes me back when I used to install. I was taught to tune amps by sound. Close all the doors and play a range of songs on HIGH volume and tweak the knobs to optimal listening. Probably why my hearing is not the best lol. Installs always take longer when you go the extra mile and do them textbook, well done on that. Hence why big box stores can flip jobs like this in a couple hours.
Faith, hitting hard is, or at least was, correct terminology. And Clayton, love it. Makes me miss having a big system. Haven't had one since 2008.

A new audio system definitely makes the truck a lot more enjoyable to drive, it did for me at least.
It took me 40 minutes to replace the cabin air filter in my 2015 Mustang today. I'm never doing that again. Clayton is installing a complete stereo system in his TRUCK? Took out the entire interior AND put in sound dampening AND ran all new wire for a new amp and new speakers? WOW!
Audio installs are so much fun. Look forward to the rest of the build.

that must have been fun. i just installed a head unit, 2 door speakers and 2 subs in my brother 2005 impala. the factory amp was bad so i had to re wire the whole car with speaker wire running from each speaker to the harness. i had lots of fun and learned a lot.

Yup, that was my mistake. I didnt run the power wire separately from the speaker wires. First time audio install mistake. Definitely adds feedback during some songs but not others
