How come this bit of plastic is so expensive? At €215 one could just go and buy 500 Nespresso branded pods instead! If you then add the cost of loose coffee to put into this that would be at least another €150 (€10 for 30 - 40 servings)- and I'm not even adding the cost of buying the empty capsules and sticker lids. That €150 could get you another 300 or so Nespresso pods. So by my reckoning you could buy about 800 Nespresso pods (for me that would be two years of one espresso a day) before this thing started to give any price benefits.
Nespresso machines are cheap and effective compared to regular espresso machines. To make espresso, you have to force heated water at pressure though a compacted quantity of coffee in order to create the intense flavour and the surface 'creme' formed by the heated coffee oils. Pod machines are a simple solution to an otherwise complicated process in terms of making a machine to do the job. Therefore, refilling does make sense and doesn't have to be done like this if unless you're going into small scale pod production! All you need is an empty pod, some ground coffee, a thumb and some tin foil....simple! I fill mine as I need them and it still takes me less than a couple of minutes from cupboard to cup!
That is not the point. Nespresso machines are designed to give a great cup of coffee instantly without all the fuss and mess. Just buy the capsules ready filled.
Well, I work from home but its for another company so I don't have time on my breaks to sit there and actually hand froth milk etc so for me its a convenience thing vs price thing. Like I don't MIND filling the pods on my own time but when I'm working and want an espresso or a something I need the convenience factor over the price factor. BUT with all that being said I see where your coming from. Not that I use this thing it seems expensive for what its for but thats what made me click on this video lol.
I bought coffee machine for three reasons. 1) I love coffee. 2) To enjoy a better coffee. 3) To eliminate the faffing around. This invention would ruin my experience. Why dont you make the coffee pods and sell them cheaper than other brands instead?
While I generally admire an attempt to come up with a nice solution to an annoying problem, it seems the problem could be avoided altogether by simply not owning a Nespresso coffee maker.
@@reginalddrew7903 people do this to save money, I don't ever buy the Nespresso capsules because I find that they are rarely better than their cheaper counterparts...
the whole idea of saving cost on capsules is figuring out how to refill it for free, but not buying refillable supplies or capsules from anyone. so this surely upsets me.
So this could be made with anything for $5 - what i dont understand is why you have to tamp them all individually when you could tamp them all at once, and the same goes for pressing the sticker on top
Nice idea, but are you kidding me 175 euros.Who the hell is going to pay that much. More money than sense. Good luck trying to get people to pay that amount.
Very creative, but I suppose a waste of time and money. How do you seal the coffee pod? How do you insert the NO2? How can you have a fresh coffee from that? I suppose the products used (plastic pod and steaker) are approved for human consumption. Sorry, but I think you misunderstood the real purpose of coffee pods, which is to offer a fesh espresso home made coffee.
I bought a Nespresso machine for two reasons, firstly it’s the best pod machine out there, and second to avoid spending hours f*****g about with coffee and tampers and the like. Why buy an amazing machine just to cheap out like this, my advice go buy filter machine for a few pounds and mess about to your hearts content!
Listen to your own song: if it ain't broke don't fix it. Nespresso uses aluminum pods for a reason and that plastic is bad for the environment and has a bad taste in the coffee. But mainly, don't buy a super expensive machine and then complain about the cost of the pods. You can get them from the Nespresso Club for 70 cents a piece good grief. There is frugal and there is stupid and you have gone too far.
+martinlest the nespresso compatable pods are £1.79 from lidl or aldi etc for 10 thats 17.9p each or 1396 capsules for the £250 (inc shipping) judging on 5 coffee's a day it would take 279 days to drink that amount worth of coffee
Great music choice! Everyone knows that folks that listen to country also enjoy a cup of highfalutin coffee...well done sir!
I'm a dreamer
Love this song. American country music at its best.
Very good!
I like the background music, I felt like I was in a forest inside my shack drinking my favorite coffee....Colombian Coffee.
Amazing. Could you make one for the Vertuo Nespresso machine. Thank you 😊

pebble888 €250😅👎🏻
Any idea when the refillable vertuioline (sp) pods will come out? I also have the newer espresso pods too.
The irony of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" playing while he's filling up individual nespresso pods.

Love the whitey Morgan!
Update: 2 refillable steel pods and filling accessories kit for 50€. Aluminum foil caps included.
Why didn’t you put the link to the Machine and paper you put over top, Make sense to me. Thanks 8-18-2020
hi, do you still sell this? Where can i order, i need it for my small coffee business..
Someone has to explain if you're gonna do all this why not just use a regular espresso machine? It's madness...MADNESS I TELL YOU!
That is not the point. Nespresso machines are designed to give a great cup of coffee instantly without all the fuss and mess. Just buy the capsules ready filled.

I've tried hard with regular espresso machines, but can't get anywhere as good. So I gave up and bought one of these. Much better.
Three reasons

You people are missing the point here this is a machine to start a pod business not something you do for your own home.

I need this kit. How to get?
very nice plate! and very nice music to!
While I generally admire an attempt to come up with a nice solution to an annoying problem, it seems the problem could be avoided altogether by simply not owning a Nespresso coffee maker.
Or simply buying the original Nespresso capsules...they make a great cup of coffee without any effort.
@@reginalddrew7903 people do this to save money, I don't ever buy the Nespresso capsules because I find that they are rarely better than their cheaper counterparts...
Donde se consigue esa tabla compresora?
would've been great to actually see the capsules in the machine and the resulting coffee.
Yay a new game for my grand children😁
Beautiful design!
Hi, where can I buy the empty capsules and caps???
the whole idea of saving cost on capsules is figuring out how to refill it for free, but not buying refillable supplies or capsules from anyone. so this surely upsets me.
it's the out and out waste of resources/plastic that annoys me about these dam capsule machines
So this could be made with anything for $5 - what i dont understand is why you have to tamp them all individually when you could tamp them all at once, and the same goes for pressing the sticker on top
The background twang-twang music is most distracting - and annoying too.
The lack of systematic pod filling, capping drove me fucking stark crazy.
where can I find this kind of things in Malaysia ?? I need pack for my customers ..
Where did you get your capsules from?
Just like the song said !! If it aint broke! Then don't try and fix it?? Just buy the damn capsules from Lidls for 18p a capsule...
They are not 18p in the USA!!
£1.69 from lidl at the moment so works out just under 17p per pod lmao must really suck to live in murica
no mom,its not cocaine. Its coffee im cutting. LOL
Nice idea, but are you kidding me 175 euros.Who the hell is going to pay that much. More money than sense. Good luck trying to get people to pay that amount.
I can think of some uses, for example a coffee shop may want to sell their own premium coffee pods.
It's too much work with the stickers though.
Avantime It would be easier with a single sheet with 25 precut stickers so that you only have to press on top.

Great song choice.
I wonder if he knows you can buy pre-filled nespresso pods cheaper than this?
only issue is that you also consume the sticky glue residue evertime you have a coffee.
if the glue is safe then all good 👍
Onde acho está geringonça para comprar?
Anyone know where to buy one of these CHEAP????
When you said 'machine' I figured it's an automated machine.
Price is also outdated or way way too expensive
I think your ideas about what is outdated are outdated.
GBP 157.00 + GBP 25.70 postage (sterling) on eBay. What's that, about $250? Good luck selling these!
Why is the video cut?
In the final scene, the product is not same like before?
Maybe suspect or fraud....
I just look in the neighbors' garbage for used ones and refill them.
Just kidding......

Great idea
Its like enjoying johnny cash while enjoying capitalism
eu quero ! envia para o Brasil ?
Amazing!!!!!
You just save around $35!
Quanto costa
All these manipulation is supposed to be an evolution? It's more easiest to put a filter paper with 2 teaspoon of coffee in a regular coffee machine.
NESPRESSO co will report this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great concept. Cost is prohibitive though.
i think its agood idea specialy if you live in a country without supplier like me
