Hi Peter thank u for the video . I ordered a capsule from eco capsules for my vertuo next machine after seeing this Video . I had real problems getting it to work for days but have now it’s going everytime. I worked out that to level the coffee to the bottom part of the capsule and tamper it till it’s tight (squash it down with the tamper or something that will level the coffee out nice and tight ) .then put the lid on and into the machine . Works every time for me . Hopes this help anyone that needs it

I have this reusable capsule and my experience with it has been quite different. I get crema that dissipates fairly quickly and the coffee is watery and weak with very little color. It tastes as watery as it looks. I've tried three different brands of coffee, all ground very fine (espresso grind.) The only way I can get a somewhat passable cup of espresso is to stop the brewing process about halfway which prevents it from getting overly watery.
I just got my Nespresso Vertuo Next and a set of the refillable pods so I can use my friends fresh roasted espresso. I have now tried 2 fresh shots - both very watery, not much crema. Attempted to fill each one as full as I felt it could handle. Also wondering what’s the deal ://
My eco pod works fine...in the instructions it say do not use an extra fine ground (such as espresso) or course grind...also do not use a light roast bean.
I was messing around with my machine I have been priming the cup with water first. I have found that the Nespresso machine does not give the coffee pot enough time to Prime with hot water starts to spin I unplug it prime it still see water that's clear prime it again it spins see coffee. Since doing this I been getting the strong cups like I want
I've been debating whether to buy a nespresso machine. This has just proved that I need it! I love freshly ground coffee and I don't meant to be skeptical of pre-made capsules but I just don't find them to be of any quality. I'll be watching your video on what machine you love as well! I'm going to definitely buy this steel capsule too!
This machine is a game changer.. I just got one for Christmas and the flavor is amazing! Tastes like fresh made coffee/espresso and smells like Starbucks while it brews :) i have the vertuo plus i think and keurig doesn't stand a chance lol its worth it.. try kohls and target or bed bath and beyond for deals on the machine:)
The nespresso pods are actually amazing. We have both the reusable and buy the pods, but we splurge because they are just good quality. We like the reusable because sometimes we buy our favorite flavored coffee and nespresso doesn't have what we want in pod form
Doesn't it puncture the pod through soft thin aluminium before passing the water through? How does this work on rigid metal, it would break the machine eventually.
I have used one of these for a few months and found it great, I have now found one with a press on lid which I find easier to use than this screw on lid. Coffee comes out great.
I've been using mine for a couple weeks without issue. Not as much crema as I hoped but maybe I need a finer ground other than the store bought made for drip machines??? My machine still works fine with other pods. Some times my reusable pod gets stuck in the machine because the bottom of the pod is super flat so it creates a little vacuum - just have to wiggle it out. Edit: I did notice mine was too watery as others mentioned. I re-drilled the holes using a 1/16 bit (1mm) and comes out darker. I might try a larger bit but I'm worried the grounds will come out.
Water coming out means the water is flowing too easily through your grind, not giving it enough time to extract properly. Its more than likely any one of these (or a combination of) these 3 issues - your grind is too coarse - you have not tamped down your grind enough; or - you have not used enough coffee try making your grind finer, and pack it tighter, and you should definitely get a better result
I have a concern about this adaptor usability in newer Vertuo Next machines as it has only one barcoding at the top and it cant be changed. It appears that Nespresso Vertuo Next checks the bar code for repeated use and stops brewing with generates error in the app "This capsule was used before" . Could you please check?
I bought one of these and its so heavy that it slows down my machine and I noticed that the coffee taste a bit weaker than using the light aluminum pods I wish the company that made these make them lighter weight
There is a lighter aluminum reusable pod. But it does the same thing. Shakes and makes a loud noise. I talked to the manufacturer and they said they stopped making them completely. I would be very cautious. Not worth running your machine

Use voids any warranty and repair shops can tell if you’ve used a reusable pod. It also shortens the life of your machine. I haven’t found a single coffee that tastes like a Nespresso pod and I’ve tried over a dozen different brands, strengths and grinds. All things worth considering.
I have been using the My Caps topper for over a year now. It is different than this since you just drop it on your ground espresso/coffee. So, you are just using your old pods which I felt was nice. As for the espresso/coffee, I too had tried lots of suggestions with nothing being found worthy until I tried the Lavazzaa Crema E Gusto preground bricks. I get mile high Crema. Body and boldness of a nice strong coffee and no bitterness with espresso shots. I now only buy a couple of pods for different drinks or moods. But I will say, I am a tad bit worried about this new capsule thingie I’ve gone and purchased because it is so heavy and could easily see a warranty issue.

Some of the reviews I have heard of these types of pods say that the heavier weight is the problem. The spinning of these heavier pods burns out the motors in a relatively short time, as quickly as 3-4 months in some reviews.

Warning: I bought this in early 2021 hoping to save money , as this guy said it’s HEAVY , I measured with a food scale largest empty original cleaned pod and this heavy aluminum empty , this weights 10Times as much as the original pod , I had two fears, I paid 299 for my Nesspresso machine, this would wear out the motor , and it got so hot it could melt or deform the plastic cup in the machine that holds this and pods, also even worse I tried 3 different coffee including a fine, medium and course grind, packed them look packed them medium packed them hard , in every case the coffee was not Nesspresso quality , not even French press quality , I save my capsules and next I’m gonna try the foil reseal tops, this thing Peter demonstrated made basically watered down coffee , And yea I had it make me. Large mug, why ? Because the orig pod/ discs do and it’s amazing , if I cannot find a low cost solution that makes perfect coffee I’ll just resign myself to the fact that orig pods are on demand , and still way way way cheaper than Starbucks lattes in a store, To think of the thousand of dollars I wasted at Starbucks and nothing to show for it, also the time and gas , ev juice wasted ,
nespresso pods coffee ground has specific formula for its taste.. its not a straight up coffee ground, they had to adjust the roast based the machines capability. its probably better to buy a drip over machine.

There'll definitely be a wear & tear because its shape is different from the original capsule. Motor will be mostly fine, but the plastic parts will be harmed.

Hey Peter, I was wondering how's your machine? I've been looking around long term reviews and all of them use the original pods. I'm afraid that those reuseable pods might break the machine and cause leakages. An update would be greatly appreciated most especially the state of your machine.
I was concerned about the same thing. I just got a new machine as a gift but the cost of the pods is prohibitive. I was reading reviews that the weight of the pod damages the machine. People seem to prefer to refill the original pods and use the aluminum covers available on Amazon. I am about to try them out (waiting for the delivery). Fingers crossed!
@@aliciavandenhoogen7489 I did not. The weight of the stainless steel pod is significantly more than the aluminum ones that nespresso makes. The pods apparently spin within the machine which makes me think it WILL damage the machine. After much thought I decided to reuse the old pods with new aluminum foil covers. I ended up buying the Geesta "Easy-Seal Coffee Capsule Refill Kit for Nespresso Vertuoline with a Brush, Scoop, Reusable Capsule Holder," which comes with 80 foil covers. These work amazing! I am filling the pods with 13-15 grams of Starbucks preground coffee (nothing fancy) and I get a perfect cup of coffee every time with the crema. The kit makes placing and sealing the foil foolproof I fill a few and have them ready to use. I would recommend this approach instead.

Does anyone find their coffee comes out watery ?
try these out there amazing www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nespresso+vertuo+next+refillable+pods&hidden-keywords=B08KHMH1ZC
this foils are really super easy to use
Yes, DO as baker man says, the foil is the best alternative.
To bad your link didn't go directly to the pod in Amazon
What is the point of nespresso machine if you want to grind and fill like in case of regular espresso machine?
It’s nice to have options
So... don't buy one.
I have the Nespresso Breville BNV 220. So far I have not been able to find a reusable pod/cup for that specifically. Is the one you're using matching what it indicated on the product, that it was specifically compatible with your model?
Some of the reviews I have heard of these types of pods say that the heavier weight is the problem. The spinning of these heavier pods burns out the motors in a relatively short time, as quickly as 3-4 months in some reviews.
I mean... nespresso has a really good warranty policy so it may still be worth it
@@Nour-ep2np but like I think It would likely void it bc it’s not from the brand
What type of espresso do you use and do they have these pods for the other machine?
Hmmm Same cup i get low flow and almost no coffee, drilled out the middle and i get much more flow now. I know i saw yours come out perfectly in the same machine....Must have been the grind or coffee brand. Thumbs up for your video.
BTW i like the foil replacements, they work much better IMO.
Yup. Does not work.. with store use grinder to Turkish.. or expresso grind.. or home kept in a while.. nice and powdery.. still doesn't work.. selling unit.. since they can't even sell to grocery stores different styles. It only has what three different choices . Thats it. Nope. I'm going back to keurig.. way huge selection.. sorry George Clooney. Ur nespresso sucks !!
Hi, Can you tell me are the pods "Patented"?
I got one that gives out a double espresso. About a week of using it my machine red-ringed. I got a replacement on warrenty but im wondering if the heavy capsule could have damaged the injector head somehow? Had any problems since the video?
Yea i wonder the same thing
@@AllUnbelievableShits well, since the machine change 2 months ago ive had no problems. I may have had a faulty machine as opposed to the pod breaking it.
Do you have a link for the double espresso one?
@@TimelordPete you should try these foils from amazon you won't have that issue The Coffee Seals FOILS allow you to refill any vertuo capsule www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nespresso+vertuo+reusable+pods&hidden-keywords=B08KHMH1ZC
Can you make espresso shot using this?
Because the orig pod/ discs do and it’s amazing , if I cannot find a low cost solution that makes perfect coffee I’ll just resign myself to the fact that orig pods are on demand , and still way way way cheaper than Starbucks lattes in a store, To think of the thousand of dollars I wasted at Starbucks and nothing to show for it, also the time and gas , ev juice wasted ,
These are good points
I guess I would consider reusing the original pods sulotions maight work better
nespresso pods coffee ground has specific formula for its taste.. its not a straight up coffee ground, they had to adjust the roast based the machines capability. its probably better to buy a drip over machine.
Thank you for finishing the review Kal, unlike Peter here.
I bought one and it totally sucks. Does not work. I bought a different brand though. Have a different Nespresso machine too…
will a ese pod fit?
Big Lots has discounted Keurig and knock offs. Cafe Bustelo is low cost option, but understand Black Rifle veterans support. Cheers
Black Rifle Veterans?

Question: Your video does not show you opening the coffee maker afterward to show what happens with the filter. Does it eject it into the side where pods go after use or does it just keep it in place?
It ejects it, I just catch it before it gets released from the lift
Do you know if it works on a Nespresso Next?
Should work on all Vertuo models.
@@dereksbooks Actually, if you look at the listings on Amazon most of them say "not for NEXT units".
Hi, thanks for the review and the upload how many ounces of coffee does that size make i usually use the 7.77 ounce pods for an 8 ounce cup of coffee thanks
Are you using the Vertuo Next?
do you know if this works for the nespresso next?
I’m looking for the same thing 😩
Does not work for me, so far, I have to descale my machine be jade of it and it’s only been two months since I bought the machine
NO... most of the listings on Amazon say it doesn't
How can I use this to dispense the amount of the espresso sized pod? I don’t always want a full sized cup.
They make espresso sized refillable pods like this
Great! Congratulations from brasil!!!
Nespresso machine blinks red for the purchased product. Works fine for the Nespresso pods. No blockage, obstructions, etc. Read and diagnosed all possible issues with no success. Would have been cheaper to use the Nespresso pods considering the amount of time I spent on this.
The newer models only allow their own products being used unfortunately
Hi Helpful video! Do you know if you can make just hot water in the machine to make a cup of tea?
Yes, just don’t put anything in the capsule and it’ll just come out as hot water
yes you can, but you can make a cup of tea in your vertuo using thes foils The Coffee Seals FOILS allow you to refill any vertuo capsule www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nespresso+vertuo+reusable+pods&hidden-keywords=B08KHMH1ZC
Hi! Any updates on if it’s negatively affected your machine?
Anyone else have experiences they can share?
I’m interested too
As am I!
Online reviews so bad- say they break your machine- but not for this brand- just in general.

There'll definitely be a wear & tear because its shape is different from the original capsule.
Motor will be mostly fine, but the plastic parts will be harmed.
Hi there I am confused is this for Nespresso capsules or for the Vertuo line pods? Because it looks big
yes for vertuo
The link does NOT go to Coffee Seal products, but to Capmesso?
I bought the Beau version, and it is CRAP! Made with light alloy metal and no screw on top, just a pressure top that leaks.
Will this also be a bait and switch scam?
why its mine water only coming out???
Does this work with creatista? And can you use freshly ground coffee?
Will this work on the new vetuo next
Update? After a year is it still working?
Hey Peter, I was wondering how's your machine? I've been looking around long term reviews and all of them use the original pods. I'm afraid that those reuseable pods might break the machine and cause leakages. An update would be greatly appreciated most especially the state of your machine.
Peter is shilling. Beware of RUclips videos with affiliate links.
As for the product itself, 21% 1 star reviews is far too much for me, so I'll pass.
@@snigdhamd did you ever try them?
@@snigdhamd hey, did you get the aluminium caps? Do you mind sharing your experience? Thx
But what happened to the taste test?
I've got one of these lodged and cannot get it out. Any tips
Hi Becky, I have the same problem, were you able to get the capsule out of the machine?
@@cmuzicnow I had to take the machine apart and look at the capsule cartridge and use a flat headed screwdriver to wedge it out
