    This is the cleanest, clearest execution of Hong Kong style Leung Ting Wing Tsun Biu Tze form I've seen on RUclips. It is exactly as I learned it from Leung Ting back in the '80s. The EWTO people do it slightly differently these days.

      my sifu was a former student of leung ting in i believe the early 90s. He only accepted like 10 american students or something right? how was it having him as your master...my sifu said if he made mistakes hed hit him a little bit and call him a fool lol

      @@VTSifuSteve haha awesome... thats cool you got to train with him. and just to say i wouldnt say it was abusive just kind of like a check you know like hey you mess up im gonna let you know with a little tap haha... things were different back then as well. nowadays i doubt that happens anymore theres so many laws and what not teachers have to be a lot more careful.

    What they do with the feet is not natural or wing Chun, actually none of this is. Yikkam, feet shoulder width apart allows qi to flow naturally.. this is 1960s imported from who knows where. Looks fancy though, like a dance..

    • @DrTzeus

      Imported? I know from where, a tea table conversation challenge from Uncle to his youngest nephew. This is spot on WT third form.

    • @cwilkinsonwck
      @cwilkinsonwck 2 года назад

      @@DrTzeus no, wing Chun kwen is a short strike art. Not long fist holding structures stuffs. This is 1960s platform. Not what the writing of late 1800s. Which was from shaloin in 1700s short strike cannon, which is from general Qijigong in 1560s of Chinese army. This water down Hollywood dance can never hold up, unless it is a demo of so called sifu beating up weaker students. We should learn what it is before we think we know because sifu says so. Or my lineage that. Wake up

      @@cwilkinsonwck If you are still interested in what the army did in the 1560's that is fine. I am talking about this Biu Tze PUBLIC demo in our MODERN times. This is Wing Tsun, not Chun. We know it is brand new. Dr. Leung Ting enjoyed some tea table conversations and went to Germany to engineer the required training sets. The local Chinese seemed to be stuck on restoring the Ming still I guess? I think it is great to preserve history. But in science we do testing and improvements. In education we reflect on the success or failure of the lessons in the school and make changes.
      In WT we use only 6 Forms, and we have some principles and mottos that guide them. This third form in WT is too add a few techniques to the already well developed fighting program achieved with SNT and Chum Kiu. If it doesn't "look" like it is "complete" that may reflect the fact it is to fine tune, not lay a foundation. WT wing Chun is a COMPLETE martial art so it has long and short punching so I feel bad for your if your "wing chun' only recalls the short punch. Is your third form just a repeat of the same stuff from the first two? But I will agree with you, as this demo is keeping the footwork stepping a secret. He is stepping like a Chum Kiu step instead of the full WT Biu Tze step and huen bo.

      Das mache ich regelmäßig. Zu meinen Training kommen UFC und MMA Kämpfer. Selbst Silva trainiert WT/WC. Die Profis wissen warum. Im übrigen machen alle Kampfsportler Liegestütz, damit haust du auch keinen um. Also wenn man was nicht versteht, sollte man sich erst damit befassen bevor man es kritisiert. Die Weltspitze arbeitet zusammen, denk mal drüber nach. 🤘🍀

    Doing forms fast is not the way. The goal is to control inner energy by controlling our movements with yi, not muscle. These show offs are not masters. They only want students so they can make money.p, so they practice doing the forms super fast. Anyone can do so, but not anyone can control inner energy with intention. The latter takes real skill and years of training. It takes a month to do a form very quickly, but not properly.

      @VTSifuSteve 2 года назад +3

      Technically you are correct about slower being better for training, but perhaps it hasn't occurred to you that this is a public demonstration, not private training. Usually in demos forms are done at a very fast clip for the benefit of the audience.

      I agree with you completely.
      (those tan sao’s and fook sao’s in the beginning of Siu Lim Tao are really killing when you do 2 min one way and 2 min back (thus the whole tan sao, wu sao, fook sao, wu sao part will take you 16 minutes per arm and if you keep pushing the elbow in to the center and keep pushing your waist forward you will be burning before you finish the whole form.)

    Leung Ting and Robin Tsang are not good fightes in Hong Kong. Wan Ka Leung and Kong Chi Keung are good Wing Tsun masters.
