Ok, now this is your best video to date. Beautiful piece of craftsmanship. As a matter of fact, that's the exact build i want, just add the AC unit. Loving it. Keep it up guys..
I still haven't been able to buy me a Kimbo camper but I can still dream about buying a Kimbo camper one day . 😄 I still think that it is one of the most beautiful campers ever . It looks small on the outside but big on the inside . It's not only beautiful on the outside but beautiful on the inside . Mark you are an amazing people . You are a very unique person who is smart with a good heart . I love that grass look on the inside . Miss . Linda ❤
I stumbled across your camper videos a few weeks ago. My search for a camper/trailer type product has come to an end. This is the one for me. I love the unique structure and interior design. As well, I admire your happiness and joy you share with us in each of these videos. Can the general public visit your production facilities? Speak with others that work on the build team? I am very impressed with this unit. It is functional comfortable for one and snug for a couple (Hope they get along or at least have a shelter). I visit the Northwest multiple times a year and would love to visit your facilities and learn about the product. Any information would be appreciated.
Excellent Indeed!! ...just somewhat concerned about 'open metal baskets....Wouldn't 'things' bounce out when 'off road'? also, waiting for some 'cassette toilet'? Carry On...Great Job Mark!!
That wet hanger area is a great idea. Would use that for my waders. But I think that's one of the biggest downsides to camping is handling wet clothes. Great idea.
Awesome design I just saw one today on the highway and decided to look it up. There was a guy in a green Toyota hauling one out of Quartzsite Arizona today. cool, looking rig that front window worries me though it looks like a potential leak in the future when the gaskets get a little old. All the truck campers I’ve ever had leaked up in the bunk. Still a great design. Cool, little camper.
I was thinking the work desk area could be the shower that has access to the clothe rack by the entry way and kind of insulated with water proof doors and so as the power stations. Then the multipurpose desk is mounted on the shower wall. And just install a split type ac on top of the door way? 🥰
yeah, I just went to look at the website and it looks like people have submitted pics where they've turned the teak area and the work area into a shower by doing just what's described here in the comments. Awesome little versatile camper!
I was thinking about the samething . That entryway is the perfect spot for a shower because it's already setup to drain water from the floor to the ground . He still did a good job designing the Kimbo camper and it's just beutiful . Miss . Linda 💯
The "fireplace" uses a coaxial pipe where the combustion air is pulled in on the outer, and the exhaust gasses exit on the inner. Therefore you are not pulling combustion air from the inside of the camper where it would cause a negative pressure that would try to bring in make up air from outside.
Like where you are headed with these - but I'm still looking for something a little closer to a conventional truck camper's appointments (length wise bed, wet bath/toilet, cook top/oven, and a little larger dining/common area) but with your camper's ruggedness and maintenance free design qualities.
Looks like an awesome hunting/fishing camper. Definitely set up for northern climates though due to propane heating and no A/C. I like the utilitarian look of the interior.
I have a 2008 Tacoma 4 x 4 with a 6 foot bed. Currently I have a fiberglass slide in utility body turned into a camper. Nothing on this level though. Just wondering how well the Tacoma handles this camper as far as weight and aerodynamics and what kind of a hit it takes on gas mileage? There is no number to call Kimbo and emails have gone unanswered. I just retired after 25 years of tech and 12 years of OTR trucking, so I know how to live out on the road and take care of my needs in a resourceful manner. I’ll be splitting my time in the US and the Philippines. I would love to have something like this if it fit my needs.
Enjoy the use of space; the kitchen baskets could use some kind of netting or lid to secure items when traveling; I hope easy options for hanging more baskets, potholders and kitchen utensils. And options throughout the camper to attach more storage baskets I do hate cupboard doors I fear they add extra unnessary to a campers weight. The desk area unique but I would like to see it as a flipdown. A toilet and shower area, with a bit of sink would be a welcome addition! Other than 'my' recommendations, extremely impressed as I have been online for years, seen many campers and yet not one has your WoW! factor!
Looks great man, maybe send us an update if you ever do an 8 ft Kimbo! Would like to see different colour options for your interior panels, maybe brown that looks like fake wood? Could be good
i just found you kimbo I have been looking and wondering why has no one made a bad ass camper for trucks my 88 Silverado will be getting one of these , Kids are grown wife passed away this is what im talking about. you need to hire my son if he cant break it ,its reiley proof and will last forever
It will ONLY be awesome when you do not have to drive clear across country to Washington State to place an order and to take possession of one. I am on the East Coast, and I would SERIOUSLY consider purchasing a KIMBO camper, but they do not have any dealerships on my coast that I could use to order one.
I want one. Simple build, air, heat, dometic freezer fridge combo, sink, and bed. Fit perfect on the back of my F-150 Super Crew, short bed. How much???
I would love to live out of this. I wonder if you moved the pop up shower to where the mud area is and then you could possibly have the toilet side out of where the closet is. You may lose the closet or just move it. However, that spot is perfect for the wet room area and a toliet.
I think one could sponge bath st the entrance where water can seep out as explained. To protect windows against hail a screen would be good. To protect the vent hood, build it using aluminum instead of plastic. For the minimalist owner replace the propane heater w/marine(mini wood burning) stove. Ur doing good dude !
phuc ewe, imagine we're talking face to face,as if friends. I spent 6 years USMC. 25 years in maximum security prisons(not for a court conviction but because I applied). That said,ur code name is a come on of sort. Been bathing in cold water since I was a kid. I was a boy scout too. I believe in independence of all forms. The Kimbo is a minimalist idea for truck camping. Creature comforts are not for a minimalist. Creature comforts cost more, break down,n weigh more. About the deuce pan/bed pan it's a minimalist joke. Just trying to get ur attention about ur code name. IT AIN'T YOU. Now I know it don't fit u. Stay in touch.
Very cool! Just saw one today and googled it (it was in Tumwater, WA). I have one suggestion for your video -- as handsome as you are, it would be better if you didn't have yourself in every frame -- I found it incredibly distracting. In the beginning (and end) would be fine, but once you start doing the tour, it would be better to just show the camper. Just a friendly suggestion :)
Your concepts and designs are incredible, personally i like the side entry better but might turn off some older buyers, The rear entry is very cool as well but I feel it trades alot of usable space for easy access, the rear door is concerning to me because of the top angle over with no recess for mositure but im sure you have tested that because i know you test in winter conditions. If I may ask are you using blind rivets or hucks and why you didnt tig all the joints but I realize the joints will flex in your design intead of mearly ripping. Thank you for sharing your concepts, Please dont confuse my observations with criticism because it was not my intention. I hope you have a big pile of things that didnt work because from another fabricators eyes "If you dont make mistakes, Your not pushing yourself or mechanical limits!" Safe travels!🌺
What's the max rated payload on that 4 door Tacoma? Now tell me how it is not grossly over weight as you have it equipped now, with water, fuel and passenger weight.
Love the design and the unique look! Any designs coming with solar panels on the roof? and maybe an instant hot water heater with all the connections on the outside so you could set up a shower on the outside of the camper.
I'm 47 yrs old and to see a young man such as yourself create something like this is bad azz my friend! Kudos and Godspeed!
I love a craftsman who genuinely prides his work. Brings a smile to my face :)
I appreciate you're trying to sell these, but your layout sells itself. I'd be happy to live in this space. Good job.
I'm working on convincing my wife, that one day, we can get one. I grew up camper camping and I miss it. Setting up tents suck.
Bill,
Bring her to Kimbo here in Bellingham, WA! seeing one in person seems to help quite a bit.

Yes, the AC thing is also what's I' thinking...it's already good enough for my boy, but I definitely prefer I AC one for my little princess girl :)
Love how proud you are! I’m super jealous. This is my dream camper.. sweet job man!!
I still haven't been able to buy me a Kimbo camper but I can still dream about buying a Kimbo camper one day . 😄 I still think that it is one of the most beautiful campers ever . Great configuration. I can see ur very passionate about this camper. You can see it as you describe the details. Awesome job. 👍 thx for sharing

This is one of the coolest campers I’ve seen ! Very innovative!
Great designs and model concepts for these campers. Beyond sick. Keep up the great work mate!!!
James,
Thank you!

Like living in the Apollo Lunar Module
But warmer!!
-Zach
Would this fit on a new tundra?
I think it's awesome y'all were able to get Matt Damon to do the walk-through video. Great product!
Love all your videos !! Wondering How expensive is a used or new Kimbo camper for 2006 Toyota Tacoma? I am in Texas !
I saw this exact rig today in Cannon Beach on this same truck. What a cool setup!
Hmmm, I think I could turn that entryway teak into a shower!
I was thinking the same thing! Just rig a curtain on the ceiling and make a weed sprayer shower!
I was thinking the work desk area could be the shower that has access to the clothe rack by the entry way and kind of insulated with water proof doors and so as the power stations. Then the multipurpose desk is mounted on the shower wall. And just install a split type ac on top of the door way? 🥰

Great set up! How much does one of these cost?
2nd generation Tacoma, 4 door / short bed. Thank you!
Built tough and durable.waiting to see one built for a 3500 or bigger
This is has to be the best Toyota Tacoma Camper in comfort and function on the market! ☝️👍
Looks like an awesome hunting/fishing camper. Definitely set up for northern climates though due to propane heating and no A/C. I like the utilitarian look of the interior.
Very nice. the propane heater should be placed somewhere else as it takes up too much counter space
You forgot to mention the interior lighting! VERY COOL, my friend !!!
The only thing missing is WC facilities.
Can I get a female version? That’s a little to rough around the edges for my feminine sensitivities.

I think this might be the coolest truck camper in the world.
The best one! Hello from Cabo Frio city, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil.
Hello!
I love how manly and no frills this is!!!
It would only take me a couple of minutes to make it girlie.
Really cool. Good choice on the double cab/6 ' bed combo. Pull out the back seat, and put in a goose gear flat load floor system for the cab.
Very cool and ingenious design. Bravo!
Why not make that area by the entrance door a wet type stand up shower/cassette toilet.???????
amazing creativity and workmanship!

Great design, keeps getting better. Maybe add a hot water addition and turn the doorway drain into a shower area
Can’t wait to get one next summer:) how long does it take to build?
Looks great man, maybe send us an update if you ever do an 8 ft Kimbo! Would like to see different colour options for your interior panels, maybe brown that looks like fake wood? Could be good
Are you able to attach more baskets yourself? Do you have a model that a couple can stay in?
Wonder how the interior panels are fastened and how much R factor they have...no moisture transfer?
That thing is beautiful! Man does that beat my truck camping rig on my yoda!!!! I definitely want one
i cant see the isolation??? what kind off i. is it????
How much do they weigh? I have a regular cab F-150 with a little V6, probably need a bugger/ heavy duty truck
I'd love this on my Tacoma!! What is the cost? Not exact but a range.
Love it! Hope one day you manage to design one that's 15% bigger with space for a wet bath, would like a separate space to place a poop can
Great work! Another wonderful product from the creator of Trayvax!

Look so cool! I’m just waiting for it to be available in California for a Jeep Gladiator
Beautiful build.
Toilet?
Bathing?
Great vid. Any option to bring paddle boards?
I used to slide into my elementary school desks the same way. Refrigerator door should open the other way. I love it. Does the company do financing?
What suspension upgrades would be advantageous for a Tacoma Sport and/or OffRoad?
Nice craftsmanship! What kind of insulation does it have? Looks like it could get hot in the hot sun.
Wow. Best thought out camper I've seen. Looks bomb proof.
Beautiful design!

Take my money 💵. lol I live in Massachusetts will you guys be shipping them soon. Or any ideas
1-2 year waiting list to get one! Damn they look good though, wonder if Canadians can get access to a Kimbo

This one does have a solar panel on top.
Saw one of these the other day in Revelstoke. Very cool design
LOVE IT. ANY central/northern California dealer's
Thank you!
Currently we do not have any dealers. We are only shipping them out of our facility in Bellingham, WA.

Hey, Matt Damon. Nicely done! Could you tell me who manufactures the stove? Thanks so much! Your buddy, Ben Aflect.
Mr. Affleck!
Thank you! The propane fireplace is manufactured by Dickinson.
-Zach
Thank you so much for the quick response. I think your campers are amazing! Keep up the great work! Ben.
I wonder what the fit is like on a shortbox tacoma, since the manual taco's only come in short.
Are you guys ever going to design an off-road kimbo overland trailer so i can pull it instead of loading it on to the bed of my Tacoma?
No bathroom? What a downer.🤤
Jose,
Currently no but, we are always looking to improve the Kimbo!
-Zach
@@kimbocamperssales8166 thats the only thing holding me back but great job so far guys
Beautiful work Mark. Love it just the way it is. No Jim Bridger's on this thread.
@@kimbocamperssales8166 Maybe a nature head composting option....that could be inside or moved outside?
For less than $200.00 you can get a hot shower apparatus for indoor or outdoor for use in the world of horses or dogs.
Will this work for a short bed Four door Tacoma?
So impressive! This is really cool!
Cool how much does one cost ???
Peter,
Please check out kimboliving.com for pricing info!
-Zach
@@kimbocamperssales8166 y
what are the prices?
Propane on the back like that is a bomb if you get rear ended!
Jeff Laura Maybe it is boxed
Would Have to penetrate the truck bed and camper wall to do it.
Perfect for me. Single camper, stay mostly in state parks. Tow my motorcycle
Does the window in the front also have a pull-up bug screen like the side window?
You need a ladder to get on that ladder
Cool and different, LOVE the fireplace. Crazy that there's no bathroom though. At least stick a toilet somewhere.
Lisa,
A toilet is a very popular request. It is very high on our updates list!
-Zach
Where would a 2nd person sit ?
Insulated? I feel like there is potential for a built in waterfall. Or hotbox.
Price?? Most important part of showing anything for sale is including what it's worth.. you might scare off more customers than bring in....No ??
Cant wait to see the upcoming full size P/U Series 8....
How well would this do in this texas heat its 9ish
Does the bed window have a bug screen?
This looks pretty perfect to me.
What’s the starting cost for one?
Nice, I keep thinking about this. It is ideal.
Really like this....and I recently got a Tacoma long bed....
Is it light enough for 4 cylinder Tacoma?
How hard it is to load and off load the trailer?
I missed seeing that one live by a mere day!!!!!
How much?
👍 nice 😎👌 that’s the exterior build to last👏
Why are you spraying coolent in your sink
