- Tumbling Waters Nature Trail is located in Ellijay, Georgia inside the Carters Lake Recreation Area. It has a $5 parking fee that is on an honor system BUT if you have an America the Beautiful pass, it is FREE to park! This trail is a 1 mile out and back trail, but as we were hiking, we notice other hiking trails that intersected with this one so you could make this trail longer if you choose too! On this trail you cross a 30-foot-tall wooden bridge that crosses over Tails Creek with awesome views of the cascades on this creek. There are other overlooks on this trail to view more cascades along the creek! We as a family of 4, really enjoyed this hike!

I have never seen a millipede's legs move so up close like that. It was fascinating to see. I love the cascades and the rushing waters. Tumbling Waters is a very appropriate name. Looks like a lovely way to spend an afternoon in nature!

1 mile out and back sound good with options for longer if the day permits. The pretty bridge over Tails creek gives a great vantage point to enjoy the tumbling water. Cheers to good adventure and a fantastic week

I love the wooden bridge! Love the sound of that beautiful rushing water under the bridge, so soothing. I love the patch of grass randomly growing haha! Whoa, the millipede is so cool but so freaky how all of its legs move. Love the beautiful green everywhere. The cascade of water is so pretty. Your footage is always so lovely. Wow right up my alley, absolutely gorgeous place ❤ I love waterfalls and rhododendrons. Really nice that you can extend your hike there too. That stream is amazing. Reminds me of the Smoky Mountains. I love the name, very appropriate for this place.
The name did fit perfectly, and they had just had rain, so it made it even more flowing :)
