  • This is a 3 Day 2 Night trip which was a back up to a back up due to some very unfortunate weather with my good friend Aaron. We did a 'Y' out and back and made the most of it including getting treated to an amazing sunset.

Sorry for the audio in this one, high wind and forgetting to turn off Auto Audio led to a lot of white noise in this one.

Love it! Outstanding sunset time-lapse! I'm going to have to remember that campsite up by Oregon Butte!

Nice video! Wow I must’ve passed you guys at some point. I may have been the only other person out in the blue mountains June 15-18th 😂. Definitely some peaceful country.

Great backpacking trip and video Andrew. Some of the best camp fires I have had in a while. I love how you draw me away from my regular backcountry areas. When I go wandering with NorthwestWanderer, I know I am gonna see something new. Till next time, take care and stay safe.

I was just up there with my 6 yr old son. We did a 24 mile loop. It's so beautiful up there. Tons of ticks. There's tons of year around springs on the top too. Great video!

I'm trying to identify the bird at 17:55. Mountain Bluebird? This is a beautiful area. I love seeing the wildlife!

Great vid. Weather's was pretty wild. I was up at Oregon Butte on the 8th 70° and sunny all day. Even found a few dozen morels in the burn area!
I think the mic on your camera setup may be broken or glitching out. There is a constant feedback throughout the video.

when the wind exceeds 30mph it is too much for my little fluffy mic and there was too much wind to be bothered with editing out the high limits lol. as for the white noise, i forgot to turn my auto audio off

I was looking at going to the Blue Mnts. the very same weekend for the very same reason. We aborted a weekend in the OLY Park and ended up choosing a weekend in Mt. Hood's rain shadow (small as that shadow was). Looks like the weather was about the same. I think maybe a little warmer where we were. Great documentation! Thanks for sharing!
