Just stumbled onto your channel. I look for guys close to me who fish Tennessee waters. I live about 10 miles from where you call home and Lake Chickamauga is my home lake also. About 10 years ago I sold all my fishing tacle including my boat after a family tragedy and have just recently started fishing again with my grandson who is on his school fishing team.I am trying to relearn everything that an old man can forget. I wish you continued success in your profession.
The day after with DC was great, the two of you need to do one after every tournament no matter who wins, thoughts on not making the cut are as valuable as winning.
Hey JW good stuff! Would love to see a video about how you attack a lake (thought process, where to start, which lures etc..) for single day tournament vs a multi day tournament. Thanks
Thank you for putting out a quality rod at a reasonable price jacob. So far I have the 7'0 mh and the 7'2 composite but I'll be getting more this season 👌
I run a duckett silverado. Medium heavy power moderite action and love it. Wanting your signature rod next. Wish they had it. Would have spent the $50 more. Bps didnt have it.
Jacob just a question when you have time. Would it be possible for you to create a video on things you look for when scouting lakes? For example things I struggle with in particular are spotting the different grasses and knowing the names and looks of them, as well as when to fish deeper water with weather and barometric pressure, does sun affect bass. What to do when going for large mouth vs small mouth. If you can that’s be amazing there’s so many things out there on the internet but some contradict themselves and leave me trying to figure my own way out.
Hey man I love these rod series vids!!! Could you do one where you break down the technical terms for rods? Ie the blank, parabolic, load up... things like that? Thanks man keep em coming!!! P.s. if you've already done that and I've missed it, could you site the vid please.
Hey Jacob, have you ever roll cast a swim jig and just before it makes contact with the water snap the rod back so it short skips back to you ( like a bird dropped it ) and it falls on a slack line. Usually gets bit on contact with the water or by the first few inches... I ment to comment on the swimbait 101 sorry J.
I fish from a kayak looking for a heavy rod, what length would you recommend? Besides flipping, what other baits can I use with a heavy rod? Thank always great videos🎣🤙
How does the parabolic bend compared to the 7-3 Triad or the 7-3 Silverado? Both of those rods are labeled as fast-action but they are pretty soft tipped
Hey Jacob. Could you please let us guys know about what reels you have paired up with your rods?? You always talk about the rods in depth but fail to even mention the reels that you paired with them. Also, I loved your Nickajack video and was wondering if you had another derby coming up soon. Thanks for your YT videos. 👍
My take on this is if you have an open hook lure, if your rod will cast it, use it lol. Otherwise a good medium heavy graphite will cover many many baits.
Jacob I have NEVER got one bite on a chatter bait so it’s real hard for me to have confidence in it. I’ve tried different times of year and water types and temps. 🤷🏻♂️
I had the same thing happen to me Everybody told me it was only a cold water lure, but I began to reel it mid depth fairly fast and caught a 5.5 lber. Don’t give up on it and keep trying it and learn when and where to throw it. It all comes to knowledge and experience.
Hey Mr. Wheeler are you planning on going to the Bass Master Classic this year to represent one of your sponsors? If so I hope to see you there! Keep up the amazing content!!

Great vedio
Hope a spinning reel review will come
Can you do a video on lubricating baitcasting and spinning reels? Your channel is awesome bro

Hey Jacob what rods do you throw your walking top water baits?

Is it a moderate, mod-fast, or fast action? I understand Medium Heavy power.

Love your videos. I’ve learned so much about them.
Great video, what do you think about glass rods.
How does the parabolic bend compared to the 7-3 Triad or the 7-3 Silverado? Both of those rods are labeled as fast-action but they are pretty soft tipped
You need to do one on one with dc welcher-blat. And so forth and see who is king lol.
What is the action, moderate or fast? What real do you use 6. Something or 7. something

Use the same reels on the majority of my rods. I only drop down in gear ratio when I HAVE to fish slow. You can always just reel slower
How closely related to your rod compared to the triad? I plan on getting some of your rods here soon

Great info Jacob thank you!
What rod do you use to skip baits under docks and such?
Nice, it is a great chatterbait rod, I have a bunch of them
How long does a graphite rod last. Does it go bad?
Great info
Thanks awesome videos
I’ve caught allot of fish with that same setup......
